Chapter 22: Heading Home

Jake was sat back in his room rereading the messages on his phone thinking back at everything he had done in his time here.

It has been 3 years since the start of his training, 3 years ago he came to this mountain to just clear his mind as his life at home was not going great, not knowing what he was actually going to happen to him once he had got here.

He would have never thought that this would have happened not in a million years, but here he was with the power from God and immortality from the Holy Grail.

Even after everything he has become Jake was missing home and missing his friends and family, becoming so distracted by it he decided to go and ask Gabrielle for her permission to see his family again.

Jake walked down into the meeting room where all the masters were and confronted them.

Jake: I would like your permission to do something

Jake yelled out, they all looked down at him confused by what he wants to do.

Gabrielle: And what exactly is it you want?

Gabrielle stood up and walked down to him

Jake: I know it's something that we cannot do, but I would like your permission to see my friends and family again

Jake looking down at the floor bowing to them all.

Gabrielle: Of course you can

Jake: I know it's a long sho…..wait really?

Jake lifted his head back up with a confused look on his face, all the other masters starting talking to each other as Gabrielle approached Jake

Gabrielle: It was actually something we were just discussing after I saw you in the library the other day, I had a thought, your still young and need to have a life so we decided to let you live that life

Jake looked at them all.

Jake: Thank you

Jake was about to make his way out of the room when Gabrielle stopped him

Gabrielle: Hold on Jake, There is just one last thing we need to teach you

Jake: What do you mean? I thought I already learned everything

Gabrielle: This skill is taught to a master once they master their powers, but seeing as how you will be leaving for a while I think it might come in handy

She then walked into the middle of the room, nodded her head and vanished from the spot she was stood, and then suddenly reappearing on her seat next to the other masters.

Gabrielle: This skill is teleportation

Jake looked fascinated with this ability and wanted to learn it straight away as he always does.

Jake: so how do I do that?

Gabrielle: Simply picture where you want to go and activate your aura inside that picture, this will make you appear there, try it now

Jake Stood still and pictured the kitchen area, slowly activating his aura he vanished from the spot and was suddenly in the kitchen, he quickly rethought about where he just was and reappeared there.

Jake: Wow it actually works

Taka: of course he is a natural at it already

Gabrielle then stood back up and made her way back to Jake

Gabrielle: Before you leave there is one last thing we need to give you

She then handed Jake a bag full of gold coins

Gabrielle: we have no idea what these are worth now, or if you can even use them, but they must be useful somehow

Jake: I'm sure I'll find a use, thank you

Jake then took the bag and made his way to his room to get ready to leave, Taka followed behind him, as he was heading down the corridor to his room Taka approached him

Taka: So you are serious about wanting to leave then?

Jake: It's not like I will never come back, I just want to see my family and friends again

Jake opened the door to his room and started to grab his things.

Taka: I know, it's just you still need to master your powers

Taka started to assist Jake with his packing.

Jake: I'm still going to be studying ways to control my power, that's why I'm taking all these books, that reminds me I'm going to need a bigger bag

Jake managed to fit most of his items into 2 bags most of the items containing the things he brought here, the new clothes he was given, his sword, and some other miscellaneous items.

Jake grabbed his bags and made his way to the main hall with Taka, reaching the main hall all the other masters were waiting for him the Gabrielle approached him.

Gabrielle: Now remember Jake, you can't tell anyone about your powers and nothing about what this place is or what you did here

Jake nodded and looked towards the other masters

Jake: It's been a blast here, everything I've learned, everything I have done, the people I have met, it has honestly been one of the best things I have done and I want to thank you all

They all said their goodbyes and Jake was about to teleport and take him to the middle of his town but before he did Taka ran up to him and handed him a little card that had a weird symbol on it.

Jake: what's this?

Taka: It's an old war item, for communication, we can contact each other whenever we want

Jake hugged Taka

Taka: I will come back whenever you need me

He then thought about the square in the middle of his home town and vanished leaving them all in the main hall, Taka made his way to the library and the other masters just went about their own business.
