Chapter 21: A Master

Once everyone had left it was only Jake, Taka, Gabrielle and Eucliffe left in the room, Gabrielle and Eucliffe then came down to Jake.

Gabrielle: Now Jake there are some things I still have not told you, the war that God chose us for

Jake sat interested in what she had to say

Gabrielle: You see, I am the only remaining Angel from that war, but the day where everyone died my memory became fragmented and can only recall certain aspects

Jake: Wow so do you remember how they died, and how you survived

Gabrielle: All I remember is a huge explosion, then awoke up under some debris surrounded dead bodies

Jake looked in concern wondering what could have killed them.

Gabrielle: Anyway that's not the only thing I must tell you, please follow us

They all started making their way to the other side of the room and Eucliffe opened up yet another hidden door.

Jake: Wow there are so many hidden doors in this place

Taka: I know, so many secrets

Gabrielle: Enough, now follow us

She led them down a large corridor with 5 doors 4 of which were even across from each other with 1 at the end of the corridor

Gabrielle: There are also 4 other survivors of the war, though these survivors are not allies, behind each of these 4 doors there is a demon captured and sealed away

Jake: What about that door at the end?

Eucliffe: I'm afraid you will not be able to go in that room, in there is a book that no one on earth can translate, Gabrielle, says it's from the war

Gabrielle: That's right, sorry, it's just the rules, only Eucliffe and I can access the book

Jake nods along understanding why he can't check it out.

Eucliffe: Well you are the youngest person to ever come here and you are definitely the youngest to achieve this power, you should be proud

They made their way back out the room and back up the stairs to the main hall, entering the main hall Gabrielle leads Jake towards the room where he selected his sword, in there was lines of clothing.

Gabrielle: Well now you are a master you now have to select your master's clothing

Jake: What's wrong with what I'm wearing now?

Taka: Well they are your training clothes, here you will select the colour scheme of what you will wear

Jake: Okay

Jake looked around for a bit before choosing a black and red colour scheme, putting the cloths on which were just like his training clothes but a different colour.

Gabrielle then took handed travel bag for his sword

Gabrielle: This is to carry your sword when you are outside, as to not reveal it too much

Jake: Thank you

Euclifee: With that, I think everything is done, we both congratulate you on becoming a master, and so fast

Gabrielle: Yes once again well done

Jake: Thank you both

Gabrielle and Eucliffe then both made their way out the room leaving Jake and Taka, Jake was busy sorting his clothes out and placing his sword in the bag when Taka approaches him.

Taka: I'm proud of you and what you have become I hope you enjoy your life now

Jake: Thank you, Taka, before this my life was spiralling out of control, but now I have actually achieved something great

Taka then left Jake in the room, he was still collecting his things and thought to himself,

Jake: "I wonder if that hidden book would have any information about my power"

Quickly dismissing that thought as he knew he did not have access to it, and even if he did get the access they said it could not be translated.

Jake made his way to his bedroom to drop some of the clothes off before making his way to the library to start his research for learning how to control his power.

As he was in his room tidying up a little he heard the tonne of a message come through on his phone, picking it up he noticed he had missed a lot of messages from his friends and family, Jake took his phone and made his way to the library.

As he sat down he started to read through the messages most of them from his family asking how he was, Jake then came to the realisation that It had been 3 years since he had seen them, and that they had no idea where he was, he had told them he was travelling but never said where.

Jake then sat there and wondered what their reactions would be if he were to tell them everything that had happened to him and what he had been through.

Gabrielle then walked in and sat across from him

Gabrielle: Why do you have a phone in here?

Jake: It's what helped me meditate, I was just reading through my messages

Gabrielle: You are not allowed to talk about anything you have done here if you do we will have to kill you

Jake: Don't worry I was not planning on telling anyone, I was wondering what their reactions would be though

Gabrielle: I understand, you are still young I guess you still need to actually live a life

Jake looked confused as she walked away but continued to look through his messages until he got to the most recent one from his mother, the message that was only sent last week, reading

"Hi Jake, We all miss you and hope you are doing well wherever you are, hope to see you again soon, love you xxxx"

Tears formed in Jake's eyes realising he had been thinking about himself and not how his family would think he did not care much for them but this message made him think and putting his head down on the table in front of him he began to miss his family and friends.
