Chapter 38: Waking up

Jake was sat with the other users of the blue flames not being able to see the other three enough to be able to talk with them, he was still talking to the fourth user.

Jake: So is there any way I train myself to get better control of my powers any faster

???: It's not something you can train yourself to do

Jake: I see, so how exactly can I?

???: You will have to use your powers more on fights, you have probably noticed by now how much stronger you have gotten

Jake: I have, it's amazing how strong I have become

Jake looked down looking at his hand smiling at his new form of power.

Jake: Oh right, I don't actually know your name yet

Shi: Ah yeah, guess we have not actually introduced ourselves properly, I'm Shi Balloil

Jake: I'm Jake Kynnersly

Shi: Right I guess that gets that done with

Shi shook jakes hand and continued

Shi: By the way, the last time you were here you tried to ask something before leaving, what was it you wanted to know?

Jake looked annoyed as he was trying to remember what it was he wanted to ask him.

Jake: Ah yes I remember, it was a simple question really, I just wanted to know how you died

The place fell silent and Jake stared at Shi

Shi: Well, I can't actually tell you that, it involves the last moments of the war, which is something I can't talk to you about yet

Jake sighed hoping he would be able to get some information about the war.

Jake: Well if you can't answer that, can you at least tell me how we can translate the Book of Angels

Shi looked at Jake confused.

Shi: Oh that old book, it's not that difficult really, just use your eyes

Jake looked with a blank expression on his face as Shi looked completely serious with his answer.

Jake: Anything else on that or?

Shi: No not really, that's all I can tell you

Jake looked confused as he folded his arms and rested his head back on the pillar waiting to wake up.

It wasn't long after when Jake started to feel something and as he looked up he could see the same light that brought him back before.

Jake: Well I guess I'm off now, hope I don't see you for some time

Shi: That's what I said last time but you almost died, again

Shi started laughing as Jake was being pulled up towards the light, Jake closed his eyes and waited to open them again in his body.

Jake reopened his eyes and could see the clear blue sky above him, sighing in relief he looked down at his hands and noticed all his scars had disappeared once again, laying there for a few seconds before sitting up he looked next to him and noticed a blonde woman sat down watching him

Jake was taken back and was a little panicked not knowing what to say as he was in the middle of a random field in his robes that were all torn and burnt, he also had his sword next to him, the only thing he could think about doing was teleporting before she said anything.

As he was planning his escape she spoke up.

???: So, What was all that?

Jake panicked more not knowing what she meant, had she been here the whole time, did she see the fight?

Jake: What, what exactly do you mean?

She then pointed at the hedge behind him that was now missing a chunk out of it and was still slightly on fire.

???: The fight with that girl, and that incredible ability you have, what exactly are you?

Jake panicked as she knew about his power and knew that he was not allowed to let anyone know about them, Jake had no idea what he could do as she now knew more than she should.

Jake: Well, basically, erm, it's simple really….. I don't know how to say this, but

She stopped him talking.

???: Don't worry about it, you don't have to tell me everything, and if you are worried that I will tell people I won't, cause I'm sure you don't want everyone to know

Jake still did not know if he should tell her anything about his powers and was still panicking, it was silent for a minute.

Abigail: Maybe it will help if I tell you about myself, my name is Abigail Aston, and I'm 23 years old and live down the road from this park, no Idea why I told you that

Jake sighed a little.

Jake: Hi, I'm Jake Kynnersly, I would explain what happened here but I'm not allowed to, yet, I will find out what I can tell you, seeing as you have already seen a lot

Abigail: Okay, I guess I'll wait here and see if you tell me

Jake taking this as an opening to leave, stood up and collected his sword

Jake: I'll return soon

Jake then vanished right in front of Abigail, she sat that excited and hoping Jake would return and tell her what happened.
