Chapter 41: More Training

In the monastery Gabrielle had left Taka and Eucliffe in the library and was clearing up the crystal placing it back on a pedestal, as she was doing so she quickly checked up on Jake to see if he was telling the woman anything he was not supposed to

She watched him for about half an hour and could see that Jake was not telling her anything about the other masters, happy with Jake not giving out too much information she decided to find out if she could help in locating Valac or even help in the fight against him.

Jake and Abigail had woken up from their sleep and were both a bit hazy, no knowing when they had fallen asleep.

Jake: What time is it?

Abigail: I have no idea

She pulled out her phone and checked the time.

Abigail: Oh damn, it's 7:30, I've got work in half an hour

Jake: Oh I best be leaving then

Abigail: before you go what's your number, I'll give you a call later

They exchanged numbers and Jake asked her how far away his home town was to where he was now, she then told him they are neighbouring towns and that it's only a 20-minute drive away from each other.

Jake was shocked by this as he thought what the odds that his fight with Zoli would be so close to his home town,

Jake: I guess I'll see you then

Abigail: Yeah talk to you soon, and I promise I won't tell anyone about your powers

Jake smiled

Jake: Thank you

Jake hugged Abigail goodbye and teleported back home leaving Abigail yet again amazed by his powers.

Abigail had gone upstairs to get changed and ready for work when she started to hear a voice calling her name, looking around she could not see anyone around her, a little freaked out she decided to ignore it and put some earphone in and play music.

The voice was coming from Valac who was in the room calling her name, he had no idea why she could not see him and had no idea why he could not even touch her, Valac was annoyed by this and decided to leave to continue his search for his brother.

He knew he wanted to possess Jake's body and to do this he would need to offer something that Jake would want, he could see Jake was getting close with this Abigail and thought that this would be his bargaining chip.

Jake arrived back at his house and quickly checked up on his friends and family, as he had no idea how they would have reacted if he had been killed and went missing again, as he was talking with his family the only thing on his mind was seeing Abigail again.

A few days had passed and Jake decided he was going to continue his training, now knowing the wat to get more control over his powers was to keep using them, he grabbed a bag and filled it with supplies grabbed both his swords and teleported back into the desert where he fought against Djynn.

As he arrived he was suddenly surrounded by police and some soldiers that turned to face him all shocked that he had just appeared, within noticing them all Jake quickly teleported out of there and into another field.

"That was a close one," Jake said to himself as he set his bag on the floor and checking his surroundings, the field was very wide and almost empty the only thing that stood was a large abandoned barn.

Around the field was nothing but trees and empty fields for miles making it the perfect place for Jake to test his powers in full, Jake placed his new sword on the floor and activated his aura which burst upwards reaching 2 stories high, showing just how powerful he had become.

Jake started to unwrap his soul blade to see how close he was to master his power, he managed to unravel the cloth another two times before he could feel pain from his flames, and he cut off what he had and started his training.

Jake made a huge fireball in his hand and fires it towards a nearby tree as it made contact the tree completely disintegrated on the spot, leaving nothing of the tree left, as scorch trail from him to the tree was left in the grass.

Valac had arrived in the same field after sensing Jake's power multiple times, staying a good enough distance away that Jake could not detect him Valac observed Jake for about two hours whilst Jake was letting off his attacks one by one with more force going into them each time.

Valac started to become anxious knowing that he could not accomplish his plan as Jake had become even stronger than he thought he was.

Jake finished his training after about four hours looking around the field was completely ruined with scorch marks everywhere and craters developing the land, Jake started to unravel his soul blade once again this time he only managed unravel it once before feeling the pain again.

Jake thought he was going to be able to unravel it more than that seeing as he used more power here than in his fights, Jake knew the only person to fight would be Valac which he hoped would be enough to gain his full control over his power.

Jake slightly tired sat down on his bag and pulled his phone out sending Abigail a text asking if she was home, within seconds he got a response telling him to come over, Jake smiled and grabbed his bag teleporting out of the field to her house.
