Chapter 40: Abigail

Abigail was still sat in the field and had been waiting for about half an hour for Jake to return, not knowing if she had been tricked or not but decided to give him some more time before leaving the field.

She started to become bored with waiting so she stood up and walked around and checked on the damage Jake had caused during his fight, Jake reappeared in the same spot he vanished from.

Jake looking around the field could not see her anywhere

Jake: ABIGAIL

Jake did not know why he was calling for her, he thought maybe it was because he had not told anyone and just wanted to talk to someone about everything he had done.

Jake continued to call out her name before he could hear her reply from the woods that he had come from during his fight, Jake started to follow her voice until he stumbled upon her.

Jake had found her in the middle of the woods just on the rim of the impact crater where Zoli had landed.

Abigail: Was this you?

Jake walked up next to her

Jake: Yes and no, this was caused by that woman you saw, I kind of hit her down here

Abigail: The woman you killed with that tube

Jake smirked

Jake: I didn't kill her with the…. Anyway that doesn't matter, I can tell you about myself now

Abigail's eyes filled with joy and started to jump around excitedly.

Abigail: Oh my god, what should I ask first, maybe how do you get your powers, are you an alien, where did you get them from, no, that's basically like the first question

Jake chuckled and stopped her.

Jake: maybe we should get out of the forest then I can tell you

Abigail nodded

Abigail: No problem, I live just down the street we could go there

Jake: Alright lead the way

They both left the forest and made their way to her house with Abigail asking a bunch of random questions to Jake.

They arrived at Abigail's house as she opened the door and invited Jake in they walked into the living room and took a seat on the sofa.

Jake: So do you live here by yourself or?

Abigail: Yes, This is my house, only me and my cats here

Jake looked around the room

Jake: So, what do you do for a living?

Abigail: Hey, it's my turn to ask a question, but to answer yours I would in the bank down in town, now for my questions how do you get this power?

Jake: That's a long story, some of which I can't actually tell you about

Abigail pouted

Abigail: I thought you could tell me everything

Jake: I can tell you about myself

Abigail: Okay so can you at least tell me how you go the powers?

Jake then told her everything up to where he got his powers without revealing anything about the masters, he mentioned them but not by name or the location where they are.

Abigail: Amazing, how were you able to take so many hits, and not be in any pain or even dead

Jake: Well that's because I'm immortal

Abigail: Really, how?

Jake took his Soul Blade off his back

Jake: Well this sword has my soul in it but I can't tell you how

Abigail looked in amazement at his sword and continued to ask Jake question about his powers, with Jake answering them whilst dodging the information about the other masters, Jake was telling her stories about what happened for about 2 hours.

Abigail: I think I have asked everything I can think of, other who that woman was

Jake: Well she is one of the Demons I have to capture, as I said that's why ere are here, four demons had escaped and I was tasked to capture them all

She sipped her drink that she had made for them looking worried.

Abigail: So, how many are left to capture?

Jake: Only one, but he is the strongest of the four

Abigail: But your immortal surely that makes it easy

Jake: Oh I guess I did not mention that there is a way for me to die, if I'm stabbed with my Soul Blade then I will die

Abigail: Then just hide your sword

Jake: It's not that simple, my power and stamina can run out, and I can feel all the pain

Abigail: But you wouldn't die

Jake: I guess

Jake was happy he could talk with someone about his powers and kept talking with Abigail through the night, until early morning where they had both fallen asleep watching TV on the sofa.
