Once upon a time, there was a girl and boy who were strangers at the very beginning but became friends over a short period of time but soon that friendship started to bloom into love.

But that love wasn't meant to happen


"You are the only person which I want in this world but why can't you be with me I thought you loved me Patrick why if it's because of me I can change it but please don't leave me like them I would lose my mind without you please I beg you" I try to grab hold of his hand begging to not leave me

"Amelia, I did love you but that was in the past now I no longer love you anymore," says the person who I dearly loved who pushes my hand and left me drenched in the rain.

Their faith was never supposed to be entangled in the first place but they couldn't help themself as faith is so damn cruel.

A Love That Wasn't Meant To Be

"Amelia instead of going to your home to study why don't we go somewhere else?"


Maybe it would be a good idea to go with Patrick I can't stay home during this time mostly I run away from everything.


I hopped off the bus with Patrick and we walked to the entrance. I saw my friends waiting for me I turned towards Patrick and bid goodbyes with him.


"It's okay dear everything is gonna be fine," said Freya comforting me


Most of the class I didn't even listen to whatever the teacher taught and some class and lunch I ditched and went to the rooftop.


It's harder than I expected to keep myself calm. I hope they are in a better place. I watch the sun slowly start to set. I slowly walk towards my home.


"Patrick? what are you doing over here?"


"You were not on the bus so I waited for you"


"Did you forgot that we are going somewhere else to study today"


We walked for a bit when i saw an unused park it was a bit rusted and covered with bushes. I followed Patrick into a building and climbed up the stairs soon we reached a rooftop.


I kinda was taken back and amazed by the rooftop view. The sun was still going to set but a purple, orange, and yellow colors were mixed in the sky and the forest was giving a shady part to the sky it was beautiful.


"Wow, it's beautiful how did you find this place?"


"Before moving when I was a kid my grandparents used to take me here"


Hearing the word Grandparents I was frozen in my spot a single tear dropped from eyes which started to flow more.


Patrick didn't hear anything from Amelia so he turned around to see her crying hardly.


He bent down and engulfed her to a hug.


"It's gonna be okay whatever it's going with you the pain will end soon cry your heart out don't keep it inside"


I stopped crying after some time and sat down on the edge of the rooftop.


"Today is my grandparent's death anniversary it's been 3 years"


"It was all because of me asking some lame thing to buy for my project so I nagged my grandparents to buy it for me while my grandfather was riding the car and my grandmom sat in front while me at the back a truck came and crashed towards the front side of the car because I was at the back nothing happened to me I was completely in a shock to see my grandparents lying dead in front of me. After more than one and a half years only I became a normal person it was hard for me to accept that I don't have them with me. I blamed myself it was all because of me I wished if I died with them."


"Hey, it's not your fault you don't have to think like that your grandparents wouldn't want you to think like that they are happily watching you in the sky thinking how they got such a good granddaughter."


"Yeah you are their precious child so why would they they hate you?"
