Riley, Mama's Love
Little Riley was asleep when she felt someone patting her.
" Wake up, Sweetheart, you will be late for school."
She opened her eyes and it was her mum.
"Mum....." she called
"Yes...Sweetheart, the school bus will be here soon.
" Okay mum" she replied
Riley got up from bed and went with her mum to the washroom. Her mother help her brush her teeth and took her bath. They returned to her room to get her dressed
"I will be right back dear." said Rosita and left to the kitchen
Clifford was also in their bedroom preparing to leave for work. He got his documents and and came down stairs. He went to the kitchen, back hugged his wife and gave her a peck on the cheeks.
"I'm all ready dear. Where is Riley." he asked
Just when Rosita was about to answer, Clifford felt a hug from behind
"I'm here." she replied giggling
Both Clifford and Rosita looked down on her smiling. Clifford lifted her up for a hug
"That's my little princess." he said with both of them giggling
Rosita left them and set the table for breakfast.
"It's time for breakfast, you guys should come along else we will all be late." she called
"Okay...." they both answered and left to the table.
They all sat behind the table laughing and giggling. Soon, they heard the school bus pulled up in front of the house. Riley quickly took her bag and gave her parents peck
"I love you mum and dad....." she called and rushed off to the school bus.
The driver opened the door for her to enter and welcomed her with a smile
"Good morning Mr. George." said Riley as she got on to the bus.
"Good morning little angel." he replied
She smiled and went in to find hers friends Loretta, Nancy and Kate.
"Hi guys..." she smiled on seeing her friends and took her seat beside them as the car drove off.
Clifford also got up from the table, kissed his wife and left for the office. Rosita cleared the table and did the rest of the house chores and left for work.
MARATHON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
The bus pulled up in front of the school and the kids got off.
"Goodbye Mr George." chorused Riley and her friends
"Goodbye kids, have a nice day." he replied and drove off.
Riley and her friends quickly rushed to their classrooms.
"Good morning Anutie Ann." they chorused as they got into the classroom.
Anutie Ann is grade 2 class teacher and the kids loves her a lot.
"Good morning kids. Go and hang your bags and bring out your assignments." she replied
Riley and her friends went to their tables and brought out their assignments and hanged their bags.
"Nancy, did you go to Mark's house yesterday?" Riley asked as they went back to their tables
"No, what's wrong with him?" she asked
"I heard from my mum that he is not feeling well. What about you Loretta?
"My mum called his mum this morning so I talked with him before coming to school." she replied
"Okay..." Riley replied and sat in her chair
Anutie Ann asked all the kids to complete their classroom activities as she went around assisting a child who needs her help.
Soon, the bell rang and all the kids went out to play.
HOLLANDS' MANSION.
Rosita received a call from her mother in-law to come over the mansion. It was around 2pm when her car pulled up in front of the mansion. She packed and went in to meet her mother in-law
"Good afternoon, mum." said Rosita as she walked up to her.
"Good afternoon dear, have a seat."
Rosita smiled and took her seat.
"So how are you feeling mum?" she asked
"Much better dear. What about you?"
"I'm fine, just tighted down with my busy schedules."she replied
"What about Clifford and Riley? It's been a while since I set eyes on them."
"They are doing great mum, Riley will even close soon from school. she misses you a lot." she answered
"I guess so dear, tell them to pass by soon." she said smiling.
"I will mum." she replied
Rosita stayed a while with Mad. Flora chit chatting for a while.
MARATHON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Riley and her friend were busily playing outside. She felt an eye watching her, she turned but didn't see anyone one.
"What is it Riley?" Loretta asked
"Nothing.." she replied
"Are you sure?You keep looking behind." said Nancy
"Yes, let's just go back to the class." she replied
They all went back to the classroom.
At 3pm, the bell rang again and the school bus pulled up in front of the school. All the kids rushed out of their classrooms
"Loretta, Nancy, Kate..let's go." Riley called out.
Her friends quickly ran to her and they all rushed to the bus. The driver opened the door for them to get in
"Good afternoon, Mr George." they all chorused and went to their seats
Riley and her friends chit chatted all the way home. Within 30minutes, the bus pulled up in front of her house
"Goodbye Riley...." her friends chorused
"Goodbye guys." she replied
"Goodbye Mr George." she said as she got off.
"Goodbye Riley, see you tomorrow."
"Okay, Mr George." she replied and ran to the house
"Mum.." she called on getting to the house
"Yes.... Sweetheart." she answered and came out to meet her daughter
"Welcome Sweetheart, how was your day and how was school?" she asked smiling
"It was great mum." she answered
She dropped her bag and rushed to the kitchen. Rosita took it and was about to send it to her room when she heard her phone ringing.
"Hello..." she answered but there was no reply
She checked the number but it was an unknown line. she tried to call back but it wasn't going through.
