In a daze

I walked out of the room with my hands in my pocket and down to my cabin.

Whatever happened, it helped immensely. And for the rest of the evening, I prayed to the gods her state will only improve in my private bedroom.

"Make her come back." I prayed. "Let her come back to me."

The morning was still and quiet was I raised from my bed. I took a quick shower as an attempt to clear my mind; thought it didn't work.

I threw on a pair of jeans and a black camp shirt. I walked up to the main level of our cabin and raced out of the cabin to the training grounds. I was required to keep training even though Rital and I just got back from our quest.

She was still fast asleep in her coma as the nurse said. Even though her condition got better, she still didn't wake up.

Once I reached the training grounds, I drew my sword and dueled some demigods. Letting out all my frustration in every swing, I was on a winning streak. Thinking of Rital's state but me in rage and fire erupted from the ground and spread around all the campers.

Their eyes came to me and I couldn't extinguish the flames. The fire continued to spread and it soon got close to the trees leading to the forest. If they caught fire the entire woods surrounding the camp would be burnt down.

Suddenly a rush of water came at me and put out the fire. I was drenched in water but my mind immediately went to who did it. At first I thought it was Rital since water and ice were similar but that thought was soon pushed down as a male revealed his face. He had a fair skin tone with dark hair and ocean blue eyes. He was around my age from what I could tell.

He was definitely a new recrute, since I have never seen him around camp grounds.

He started to approach me and stoped beside me. "Sorry about that."

At first I was confused but then I realized he was talking about my soaked clothing. "Your all good." I replied shaking some of the water out of my ears.

"Josh." He said extending his hand. "I arrived 2 days ago while you were on your quest."

"Seth." I said taking his hand and lightly shaking it.

"Where is she!?" Jake said running towards the training grounds.

"Where's who?" I asked.

"Rital. She is gone."

Rital's POV:

I woke up in a daze and sat up from the ice was sitting in. 'Why am I in a tub?' I thought standing up.

My muscles her so fatigued that I collapsed on the cold hard ground hitting my head. I felt like I was about to pass out and grabbed the edge of the bed pulling myself on it.

With my head throbbing, it was hard to focus on what was happening or where I was.

The memories rolled back in from the quest and I looked down to my skin to see it blistered. I was confused and thinking made my head hurt even more.

"Was it all a dream?" I mumbled aloud.

I was truly exhausted but I couldn't help but wonder what happened. My legs were incredibly sore making me want to curl up and fall asleep.

But I needed it know where I was. I slowly stood up adjusting my legs and walked to the door dragging my feet. Once I opened the door I realized that I was at camp so the whole demigod thing wasn't a dream. 'Maybe I got knocked out during war games.' I thought.

But everything that happened felt so real that it just couldn't be a dream.

I continued out of the medical wing and went up to my cabin. Everyone was at early morning training or Greek lessons.

Once I walked in, I collapsed on the coach. I looked down at my skin and attempted to summon ice.

Nothing came.

I tried once again with emotion but nothing happened.

'They are gone.' The voice in my head said.

No. I couldn't be.

The one thing I thought was cool about me was gone? I look so much like my mother so I have to live with the burden. I thought the powers I got were to reward me.

I felt weak to my knees and my emotions where running wild as I began to cry.

I didn't know whether it was because of the pain I was feeling or if it was losing my supernatural abilities.

My mind was everywhere making me feel weak. I couldn't control my emotions and the pain running through my body was unbearable.

I picked up my necklace and rubbed it for some comfort.

Blue ice and snow began to come out of it and circle around me getting rid of all my blisters and pain I felt in my legs.

I stood up backing away but the ice began to approach my wrist where I was given the snowflake engraving. The engraving started to turn an icy blue and I felt energy pulsing through my body.

The adrenaline pumping though me was screaming at me to get out and run free. Ice began to form bellow my feet making me smile ear to ear.

I ran out of my cabin leaving the door open and jumped into pillars of ice my feet where forming beneath me.

Everything was happening so fast, one minute I was weak and now I feel incredibly empowered.

"You said that the necklace would give me power." I mumbled.

'You are smart my child.' The voice said.
