Traumatized Twinkle! Chapter 51

Looking back at Miriam, Otto blushed a little in frustration because she didnt understand what he just said. Yet this little girl still sent him a cute smile!

His father was right, white women could try such out your soul if you weren't careful!

Thinking of his father, the boy felt a little crestfallen at the thought of what had happened to him earlier today. He had almost drown! Why wasnt he taught how to swim? If that small fairy girl hadn't been in the forest for God knows what reason, he would of most certianly lost his little life today!

Surely he would seek justice for him...right?

That stupid servant actually listened to one of his fathers scheming wives and tried to dispose of him in a foreign country!

His mother surely wouldn't stand for this! She was his fathers favorite afterall. Surely his managomouis father would demand justice for him!

Miriam, completely oblivious to the volatile emotions surging through Otto, just smiled at him a little longer then walked while dragging him to the kitchen.

Lunch was just finished by now, and feeling extra brave, Miriam looked at its contents and nodded her head slightly.

Some fresh looking bread was being sliced by Kitty into small pieces making it easier for children to eat presumably.

Glancing around at her surroundings in the kitchen real quick, Miriam found that Beatrice walking quietly behind her with her gaze pointed towards the floor.

"Oh Beatrice, would you mind getting some of thd fruits I picked and some food I like for me and Otto? Oh! And don't forget to boil my well water before serving it to me!" Miriam askes of Beatrice who was obediently following behind her.

"Of course, I'll get right too it." Replied Beatrice rather curtly while raising her head to look at her little master.

While Beatrice had been promoted to Miriams nanny, the young woman often found herself bowing down to any demand the little girl made to her.

Miriam left then proceeded to leave the kitchen and walk out into the hall until she got to the bottom of the stairs that led to the second floor of the house.

Looking at how steep the stairs were, Otto frowned.

Bringing Otto along, Miriam looked at the steps carefully as she went up the stairs.

As she neared the top of the steps, she heard a faint squawking from presumably up in her room.

As she got to the top of the stairs, Miriam noticed the squawks and twee's were not coming from her room on the second floor, but instead from the opposite side of the second floor.

Traveling towards the noise, Miriam quiickly came to realize that the squawking was coming from Jeremies room.

Narrowing her eyes, she came to a stop outside her bedroom door. Did this little brat... do something to her bird?

If he did... although Miriam totally abhorred violence, she didn't mind beating up that little devil to teach him a good and proper life lesson. Which is, don't touch others things without permission!

Otto looked genuinely confused at the bedroom door that Miriam was currently narrowing her eyes at.

Afterall, who in their right mind would think loud chirping and tweeing of a bird in the house was normal?

Reaching with her free hand to the doorknob, she clasped it firmly and turned her wrist.

Opening the door to the boys room, she itmedaitely saw bird shit everywhere, and a few feathers here and there strewn about the room.

And perched on the windowsill of the the bedroom, was a quite frazzled looking bird.

A few of his flight feathers lay on the ground and there was a bit of blood on the boys bed.

Currently, it looked as though the ill mannered little demon boy of a child had ripped from feathers off of the poor bird.

Itmedaitely Miriam was already like a tea kettle that had been left on the stove much too long, and about to literally blow her top.

That feind hurt her bird! Well, perhaps temporarily her bird if she found the owner, but all in all, still her bird!

Seeing the bedraggled looking colorful bird, natutally Otto was first in awe, but eventually he noticed Miriams stormy facial expression.

Thunder and lightening could currently be heard in Miriams mind. This was war!

Quickly letting go of and shaking off Otto's hand, she hastily made her way over to the frightened bird.

Before the bird could utter a chirp of protest, Miriam had already fully scooped the bird up into her arms and into her warm and loving embrace.

Turning around to see a saddened Otto staring at her in displeasure, Miriam couldnt be bothered by the look he had just sent her way.

This was because this bird was her patient once again!

Walking at a break neck pace, at least one considering how small her little legs were, Miriam swiftly made her way to her current bedroom at this residence.

Once she had arrived at her bedroom door, Miriam unfortunately fumbled with the door handle for quite a few seconds. Then finally, she had managed to open it while holding a giant bundle of nervous feathers in her arms.

Coming into her bedroom, she was about to close the door behind her when a small figure slipped in behind her.

That figure of course, was Otto who did not really know what was going on, but still did not want to be left behind.

After Otto darted in after her, she firmly shut the door.

Going to her bedside, she set the bird down gentley and spoke to it in a calming and soothing voice.

"Shhh its okay, that little brat won't touch you again... your safe now Twinkle. Here, let me see your wings to check for boo boos." Miriam cooed at the bird while carefully begining to look it over for injuries.

Otto just came to a stop a few steps away from her, and watched her in puzzlement.

As she had suspected, it looked as if Jeremy that little brat had tried to pull out large flight feathers poor little Twinkles.

How dare he! Somehow... she would get her revenge for this. Poor Twinkle did nothing wrong.

Looking at Twinkle, it looked like Jeremy had successfully pulled out 4 large flight feathers and a few small handfuls of small feathers.

Luckily, it looked like most of the feathers didn't have any veins attached to them.

Only one or two small feathers looked like they did. Twinkle was no longer bleeding, but Miriams tiny heart still felt like it was pierced by a arrow when she saw him in this state.

This gross and malevolent conduct of Jeremys had clearly shaken Twinkle up very badly. He looked at the two small humans in front of him wearily now.

Mistrust and fear was practically palpable in the beautiful and exotic bird's little eyes.
