Platform 9 3/4

After running through the wall of Platform 9 and 3/4 Alene felt a rush going through her body. At her side, her older brother James was already jumping with excitement while my mother looked like she was holding back tears. My father seemed to carry a sense of pride sending his children off to Hogwarts.

James placed his tabby owl and trunk on the ground and quickly gave mom a kiss on the cheek, dad a hug and picked his trunk up again already running into the train. Alene could only shake her head as she heard James scream, "Alene I will save you a spot don't worry!"

As far she could remember James was always like this, a big ball of excitement. I softly placed my trunk on the floor and laid my tabby cat Oppi on top of it. I walked up to my mother who was already crying, I wrapped my arms around her and said in a comforting voice "Mom don't worry I'll look after James" She brushed my hair and replied, "of course you will darling."

Giving her a kiss on the cheek I walked up to dad and hugged him as well. He hugged me tightly and said "Alene, remember to have fun and send us letters daily" I nodded and let go. I walked back to my truck and picked it up then I waved my parents off as I went on the Hogwarts express.

Feeling my trunk getting heavy on my arms she took out my wand. Although I knew I was not allowed to use magic outside of school I had read in the Hogwarts history book that the Hogwarts express was a grey area, the ministry mostly did not pay attention to the spells cast on the train since it was officially apart of Hogwarts.

After quickly casting a levitation spell, Alene went on a search to her brother. While looking around the different cabins when she suddenly heard an explosion. Immediately walking towards the cabin she saw her brother as she had expected. He looked like he had fallen on the ground with his trunk fallen open on his stomach. In the cabin, she saw a boy with neat black hair laughing so hard he was turning red, another boy who seemed to be quietly trying to hide his giggles and a boy with sandy blond hair and a scar behind his ear having tears in his eyes as he tried to stop himself from laughing.

James turned his head in her direction and immediately put a sloppy grin on his face as he screamed: "Alene you found me!" Now all boys seemed to turn to me but I only look at James with a raised eyebrow as I walked in.

I quietly lifted my trunk up and in a free spot above the left bench, then I turned to James and quietly took his trunk in my hands as I quickly folded his clothes back into his trunk, closed it and levitated it on another free spot for one's trunk. I then pulled James on his feet, sat him down and combed his hair with my hand which made the unruly hair look a little better.

"James, I literally left you for five minutes and you manage to already mess up your trunk and appearance" I signed, James was about to respond with a snarky remark but I shut him up with a hard candy that I made that summer. I sat down next to him and then started to introduce myself to the rest of the cabin.

"I apologize for not introducing myself earlier, I am Alene Potter, and this is James my twin." They all nodded then the boy with the neat black hair and silver-grey eyes gave me a happy grin as he excitedly introduced himself "Sirius Black, nice to meet you!" After him can the boy who tried to hold in his giggles earlier " I am Peter Pettigrew" the boy said in a soft-spoken voice. Then all eyes turned to the boy with the sandy blonde hair "I am Remus Lupin"

Immediately my eyes flashed with excitement if she was correct his father was Lyall Lupin. I could not help but ask "Is your father by any chance Lyall Lupin the head of the department for the Regulation and Control of Magical creatures, I heard he was called by the Minister of Magic herself to help aid the ministry to contain Dark creature in the First Wizarding War." My eyes shone with excitement, I heard a lot about Lyall Lupin from my grandfather, he said that Lyall Lupin helped considerably with his expertise on dark creatures.

James behind me started mimicking my words with a whiny voice, taking the attention off of Lupin who looked quite uncomfortable. I immediately gave James a shove sending him to the floor, again Sirius started laughing loudly long with giggling Peter.

I, on the other hand, was not so amused I picked up Oppi out of his cage and started stroking his fur looking outside the window. Oppi stretched his back and laid still in my lap. The boys started babbling all over each other until I heard the train flute. It could only mean one thing we are starting our journey to Hogwarts.
