The last wave. It seemed so far away, but the time has come. Only one week until the last wave arrives and I'm starting to get sad at the thought of leaving this world. I'm mainly sad to leave the beautiful scenery behind. The people have been less than kind and those that I love are coming with me.
Sophia's parents talk with her regularly on the phone so they know that she will be traveling with me. They wanted to spend some time with her, so after the turtle was dealt with, she headed back home and will be staying there until we leave.
I can't have an internal world that people can live in because anything inside me is considered food by my innate and devoured. Same rule applies to the gate, that's why people can only stay in it for a certain time and I must focus on keeping them safe. Wait! I just had a brilliant idea!
While I can't have an internal world, that doesn't mean I can't request for them to live in someone else's internal world. I don't want them to be in danger so creating a separate space is out because strong enough gods can just brute force their way in. That only leaves using the pendant of the zinogre. With it I can hop over and ask for a place of my own that I can sleep in while traveling and keep family of those I love safe.
I just gotta build the courage to ask a big-shot god for residency. Whelp here goes!

Well that was nerve racking. You know how most people use their instincts for sensing danger? I usually use my instincts for whatever I want, but I can still sense danger with them, and I felt the strength of every creature in the kingdom at the same time. I had to fight back the urge to run away. My will wouldn't let me back down no matter how scared I was, so I was kind of forced to continue with my decision and just own it.
On the bright side I got a nice big area to build my own space and met with the owner of the kingdom. He said that since I helped him out when he was just starting out, he would do the same. Really nice guy and he has a certain charm to him, but I couldn't really relax because of my instincts screaming how I could be dead at any moment.
I build some stuff with materials from my gate and made a nice empty village that I can bring those I meet to live in. It was eerie with how empty it was, but some of the other residents asked if they could move in, because they noticed I just arrived, and they could help with adjusting.
So now any people I bring won't have to live in a ghost town.
I invited Sophia's parents and got necklaces for Sophia and Fitoria to visit the place. Now all that's left is the last wave.
====================time skip======================
This is the last wave. I can feel it with my instincts that this will be the fiercest yet. At the same time, it will be the easiest because of how prepared we are.
The bow hero and sword hero were essential for the last wave since it would be concentrating all the monsters into one tear. I didn't want to give the two idiots back the legendary weapons when they never respected them nor were they willing to learn how to use them, so I decided to give the bow and sword forms of Sophia's soul weapon an upgrade.
First, I took the legendary weapons and two copies of the magic storing ability and used synthesis to modify them. I wanted to make her weapon special, so I was going to have it absorb different magic to gain new forms, instead of absorbing materials. Next, Sophia split her bow into the dual sword form for me to synthesize the legendary sword into. Finally, it was put back together in its bow form for synthesizing with the legendary bow.
Enough thinking about what happened because it's time for the last wave.
The timer hit zero and we're teleported to a dense forest somewhere in the Melromarc kingdom. Spear hero and his new party are to my right, shield hero and his party are to my left, and my companions are right behind me. The heroes and I may not have started out close when we met, but I've seen them grow in strength and as a person.
Shield hero is starting us off on this battle, he lifts his shield and creates a box around the entire horde of monsters. Thousands are pouring out of the gate into the trap shield hero expertly created.
Next is spear hero, he lifts his spear and uses a technique he created himself along with his strongest skill to wipe out a tenth of the monsters. I have my senses spread out to stuff the corpses into the gate for later because these are all raid boss level monsters.
Sophia is next with her latest example of why she is a genius when it comes to anything you praise her for. I praised her for her skills in sword and bow combat and she managed to combine the two for more praise. She steps up and pulls back her empty bowstring as a softly glowing sword materializes in it. She was able to create a magic to project an energy sword and a magic to project an energy arrow, then she used the mod mixing option of the legendary weapon after absorbing both magics to create a sword arrow that can cause devastation to anything in its path.
She lets fly the sword and half of the original number of monsters are cut in half horizontally. She could add a fireball spell into the mix to vaporize them, but she knows I want to collect them, which I do.
Now it's my turn, I wait for the box to fill up with monsters while I prepare. Pulling out a massive warship from my gate I place my gauntlets on it and activate one of the features that I wished for. My gauntlets sink into the hull of the ship before the entire thing starts to flow into them like water flowing down the drain. I put my fangs on the gem of the right gauntlet and drop some of my venom onto it. I activate the mod mixing option and both gauntlets turn into a dark green colored arm cannon ready for firing. I take aim at the crowd that has doubled during my preparations and finish them off with one shot from each gauntlets.
