Poor girl

Soon the girl was walking on the busy streets of the city, amidst other people walking on the brick made road. She had collected several apples from the forest area and had wrapped them up in a white colored cloth. There were several people, walking in different directions, minding there own business. She walked further ahead, smiling and greeting a few people.

"How is the snake bite now brother?" she looked at the feet of a young man, who was limping a bit, walking with a huge cutter in his hand.

"Better Gina sister. Your herb worked like magic. Thank you." The man smiled gratefully, as he sat down in one corner of the street, mending a few stone made footwears.

She further walked ahead and stopped near an old man, who was selling a few grapefruits. "Brother! Today if I sell these apples, I will buy a grapefruit fruit from you. Ok?" She smiled hopefully, looking at the weak old man.

"Haha! Don't worry about me daughter. Think about yourself and your father. I am fine like this." He patted Gina's head lovingly and Gina further walked ahead.

She further crossed several vegetable and fruit sellers, sitting at the edge of the road. Several people were selling fresh fish in the other corner, while many people used to come to this part of the city to buy them. Gina halted near a tiny door of an old and haggered small house and opened it. "Father! Father! I have brought apples from the forest." Gina looked inside the tiny house, which had two small wooden chairs in one corner, and a few colored mud utensils in the other corner.

She frowned a bit in confusion and slowly peeked inside the second room and gasped in shock. "Father! You are drinking this poison again." Her face grew red in anger as she quickly walked towards an old man, who was sitting on the floor lazily, drinking alcohol fro. a mud glass. His was just fourty five years old, but looked more than sixty. His white beard was extremely shabby, while he was completely bald.

He was wearing an old white colored cape, which had several stains on it. He turned his neck to look at his daughter and a sense of fear and anger engulfed his mind. "Why are you back so soon?" His red eyes and heavy voice clearly showed that he had been drinking alcohol from a very long time.

"I gave you money to buy food for house and you wasted it all on this poison." Gina picked up the old mud glass, and threw it off on the ground in much anger, breaking it into several tiny pieces. "SMAAAAASHHHHHHHH!!!!"

"You whore!!!" The man stood up in anger, his legs trembling in weakness.

"SLAPPPPPP!!!" He quickly walked upto Gina and thrusted a tight slap on her face. "Get out of my house! And don't come back till you don't get enough money to buy me my drunk!! Get out!!!!"
