My face hit the solid ground, scraping my knees against the little rocks. I bet it's going to leave a bruise.

Trying to catch my breath, I heard Circe's voice echo.

It's been a day. You have to camp somewhere.

"I know Circe, but we need a body of water."

Can you at least take a break? Let's have lunch. You are fatigued.

Sighing, I look for a large root to sit on. Even if my baggage where light as a feather, my legs still give out. Who knew a woman who doesn't participate in the Kingdom's pack run, has been walking for a day with few stops?

Looking at the pants I have been wearing, I've been lucky that it's still intact. I won't have wounds on my knees but bruises. The tree gave a perfect shelter from the heat, the cool wind blew providing fresh air, and it smelled like the leaves of pine trees.
