INTER-KINGDOM TOURNAMENT
PRESENT DAY
Back at the grand colosseum, the spectators started to settle down. As the quarter-finals was starting soon, four true vampires took up stage.
"Lords and ladies! I hope you have enjoyed our splendidly prepared refreshments for you! Now before we introduce the combatants back here, these four judges will erect a shield dome around the stage! This barrier will allow the combatants to unleash everything they've got, so no worries about collateral damage! Sit back and enjoy the show!" The announcer signaled the start of the quarter-finals.
Eric and seven others were back underneath the stage. This time it was quieter but the atmosphere was much tenser. Everyone was doing their own stuff, but only Nivelet was constantly staring at Evagoras.
"You alright buddy? Don't look so well there." Eric approached Nivelet.
"Heh... Just a little bit nervous, don't mind me." Nivelet anxiously rubbed his hands together, his nerves jittering inside his body.
"All the best then, I hope you can put up a good fight."
As Eric finished his sentence, the ceiling opened out and they were once again transported up onto the main stage.
The first match was Eric against the dark elf. The fight lasted no more than five minutes, and it resulted in a one-sided beatdown. Wiping off blood from his knuckles, Eric headed straight to the spectator's seat for combatants.
'Well, that was terribly disappointing, I was hoping more of a challenge. At least now I can spectate Nivelet's match.' Taking out popcorn out of thin air, he started munching away. The rich smell of popcorn drifted into the other combatant's noses, making them eye the popcorn with evil intent. Sensing their gazes, Eric hid the popcorn further into his body and narrowed his gaze, daring them to make a move. Settling comfortably in his seat, Eric propped up his legs and enjoyed the show.
"AND NOW, A MUCH ANTICIPATED MATCH THAT YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! THE BATTLE BETWEEN TWO PRINCES, WHO WILL EMERGE VICTORIOUS!"
Eric scanned the two combatants.

"Little elf, have you learned anything from last year?" Evagoras asked, twirling his war axe in his hands.
"Bloodsucker, I have improved from last year, you better not let your guard down or i'll crush what little manhood you have." Nivelet replied with a cheeky grin, giving a pointed glance at Evagoras's lower half.
Eric was expecting Nivelet to take out a weapon, but as the match started, there was no indication that he was going to.
'Huh, why is he not bringing out a weapon...' Eric wondered.
As if reading his thoughts, a voice next to him replied.
"He might not look like much, but he's one of the best unarmed fighter in our kingdom. People often underestimate him because of that."
Eric turned his head and found Aerin chomping on some popcorn, in her hands were even more popcorn.
"When did you... Nevermind." Eric made an 'I'm watching you' motion with his hands. Aerin whistled nonchalantly as if she did nothing wrong. "But if he's going to fight with his hands, won't a pair of gauntlet improve his battle prowess?"
"Just keep watching, then you'll see why," Aerin replied with a mysterious smile.
A loud thud brought their attention back to the stage. Evagoras had dropped his great axe onto the ground and was walking towards Nivelet.
"Let's start with a little warm-up, those pest from before barely worked me up." Evagoras said.
"I guess i have no choice but to comply, but you better not regret it," Nivelet replied, shrugging his shoulders.
As both of them picked up speed, they clashed in the middle resulting in a shockwave that sent up dust. With a wide grin on his face, Evagoras started exchanging blows with Nivelet.
Although Nivelet was the one who was superior in unarmed combat, he was currently on the defense. Weaving in and out of Evagoras's punches, Nivelet studied the speed, angle and distance of the punches.
Every since Nivelet started learning unarmed combat, he developed a keen eye for things. Picking up details and movements from his opponents' fight style, and calculating his next move to counter them was one of the main reason why Nivelet excelled in winning fights.
When he started out, his opponents were all using fists, but has time went on, his opponents got more powerful and weapons were introduced. Adapting to the new change, Nivelet got even more proficient in his combat skills. Beating all his peers, he got bored and looked towards finding better opponents, that was how he ended up competing in the Inter-Kingdom Tournament.
After coming up with several counter-attacks in his mind, Nivelet started to go on the offensive. Dodging a punch from Evagoras, he returned a quick jab crushing Evagoras's throat, he then delivered an uppercut, lifting him a few feet above ground.
With his throat crushed, Evagoras lost his breath causing him to wheeze. Not letting the opportunity go by, Nivelet then let loose a couple of combos, aiming at all his weak areas.
During combat lessons, Nivelet had learned about his own races' weakness and to prepare for the tournament, he also learned the weak spots of a few other races.
After managing to hit a few weak spots, Evagoras's throat had rebuilt itself. He put his arms up to block further attacks, but that didn't stop Nivelet. As he had been attacked only around his upper-body, Evagoras put his guard up, not expecting Nivelet to go for his lower body.
With a sweeping low kick from Nivelet, Evagoras's world suddenly tilted and his legs gave up from underneath him. Releasing his guard position to catch his fall, Evagoras's defense faltered. Seeing the new opening just has he planned, Nivelet placed him in an Arm-Triangle-Choke.
With his forearm pressed into Evagoras's throat, he applied pressure to seal of his air passage. The next thing he did was to lock his legs. With no room to move, and little air to breath, Evagoras was infuriated. He bared his fangs at him, and his eyes screamed death.
"Fang-boy, what happened? I expected better, come on now." Nivelet smirked deeply.
"ENOUGH!" Evagoras shouted, his eyes glowed blood-red.
Cloud suddenly appeared above them.
Seeing what was going to happen, Nivelet immediately jumped away from him.
KRAKAKOOOOOOOM!!!
The spot where he used to be was charred black with lightning burns. Evagoras was already on his feet, his arm outstretched.
Behind him, his war axe started trembling, and broke free from the ground. Levitating in the air for a moment, it then flew into Evagoras's waiting hand.
"Enough," he repeated once more. "No more playing around."
