Calming herself and clearing her mind, she let in and out a few deep breaths as she initiated the bond. Her whole body began to heat up slightly, her eyes shining brightly, ("Good thing I have covered my head up." As she thought to herself.) As she focused all her energy to thoughts of her mate. It was her first time to use the link up at such a distance. But there was no other choice. Her body seemed to feel light as a feather as her spirit seemingly soared the skies. Finally, she located her mate. He stopped abruptly upon his horse, as his head jolted up and eyes shined like fire as his body heated up as well. His men seemed to panic momentarily till they realized his eyes were aglow. Half the troops in the front just stood there, mouths agape at the sight. They were seeing the true power of the soul bond firsthand, and it fascinated them more than anything. There was no doubt to the forward soldiers anymore on the potential power that lied in the future chiefs' abilities.
Nuvaro: "Is that you my love? I hope this isn't going to be to be tiring on you."
Cedren: "Yes it's me. I did not want to do this connection, but the information was to vital not to. We are on the outskirts of the slave market city now. We have stopped, they appear to be waiting for the rest of their party before heading to the auction house in the middle."
Nuvaro: "The rest of their party won't be coming. They are all dead. As you have probably figured. And the traitor girl, she there with you as well?"
Cedren: "Yes, she is in the cage with me. Do not worry, I made sure they were all sleeping before attempting this link up. She is under the delusion that you are on your way here to save her."
Nuvaro: "That is good. And wow, she has lost her mind, where it has gone, I do not even want to think about it. How long did you travel during your projection, anyway?"
Cedren: "Roughly two or three hours. I will not be able to keep the link up much longer, but you are closer than I thought. I did follow the road the entire time."
Nuvaro: "Well that's something. So, I stay on the road and keep going. I have been following your scent thus far. And it has gotten stronger. Please rest now, I will be there soon. I have taken over the other wagon the caravan possessed. I am going to try and make us look like we are there to purchase."
Cedren: "Oh, so do be careful, they have been on the lookout for the others since we arrived here. Please take precautions to conceal yourselves somehow."
Nuvaro: "I understand. Please get some rest now my love. This link duration is far more than you and I have ever done before. I will see you soon love."
Cedren: "I understand. I wait your arrival. Please be cautious my love. I fear her mind has left its senses long ago, love."
Nuvaro: "Do not worry my love, as you have already told her, she will be left as punishment to the fate of the slave trade. I would never rescue someone who sold us out. Rest now my love."
I broke the link with my love and looked around for a moment, feeling sad at the lost feel of him. I closed my eyes tucking myself into the corner of the cage. (My love was right, that was the most exhausting link up yet.) Now all she could do is try to go to sleep. Meanwhile, back with Nuvaro' s party, he turned to look at all his men. Though he was certainly tired from the link up, he addressed his men anyway to let them know what she had said fully.
Nuvaro: "My mate has just contacted me through soul connection. And she has let me know where they are currently. They are roughly a few hours up the road. We are nearing the city known as Slave Market. Thankfully riding hard helped us catch up quickly."
The soldier's gasps were that of awe. They had never actually seen what the soul connection could do. To them, it was the ultimate sign of his leadership. After such a verified show in front of them, it could not be denied. With a determination in his voice he ordered his men to march onward toward the upcoming city, despite how tired he had become from the soul link up. They would reach the city by around five in the morning. Cedren would be waiting no matter what. And Nuvaro was just as determined to find her. Only time would tell how getting her back would play out. All he could think about was the fact that his wife was sitting in the back end of a damn cage, despite her eyes and markings. The thought alone made him so angry, the tired feeling did not seem to reach him at all.

Chapter 4:
As Cedren, leaned in the corner of the cage, she fell back against the corner totally exhausted from using the soul connection. She breathed a sigh of relief and slowly closed her eyes as she fell asleep. A slight smile on her face, knowing he would be there soon enough. All she could do at this point was wait and try her best not to let her eyes be seen little as possible. Meanwhile, the slavers had no idea what was going to go down. As they slept, Nuvaro' s party was approaching the city outskirts. With them nearing the town, he stopped his men long enough to order his men to dress their gear down some. He wanted to make themselves look as though they were there to buy. Being cautious was going to be part of the infiltration plan. Stopping in a clearing just on the outskirts, they made their preparations. After about an hour or so they were ready to head into the city's main outskirts. He made himself up to look the part of a legitimate buyer. With the help of the slavers very own wagon, he was sure to have his plan be successful. Making sure to put the slavers head just under the seat for now. All that was on Nuvaro' s mind was just keep a level head and continue to track his mates' scent. As they neared the city his heart seemed to beat even harder and faster, her presence was becoming clearer to him now. Still driving the cart, with his soldiers alongside, he continued forward. As Cedren slept, she awoke with a start, sensing her mate was drawing near. She leaned up and stretched her head to look out the tiny window.
Closing her eyes, she emitted her scent as strongly as she could to try and give Nuvaro an idea of the area, she was in. With luck on her side this night, a nice wind was blowing. It did not matter which direction it was blowing in, the simple fact that it was blowing alone was good enough. Her excitement was also rising, but she had to do her best to keep it in check so no one would wonder. By this time, dawn of the fourth day was breaking and a lot of the local people were starting to stir even more as a new day in the city began. She hoped he would show soon before too many people came looking in the cage out of curiosity.
