Ch 9 Part 2

The next day Nuvaro told Ren that he would be late because he was waiting for the midwife to come and check his wife. Ren was fine with it and headed out to make sure the troops were set to start their daily routine. Heck, with the condition Cedren was in, he did not mind if Nuvaro did not show up at all today. It was kind of important this time after all. A short time later the midwife showed up and was brought back to their room. She came in with a smile on her face happy that she had managed to help Cedren carry them all to this point. Walking up with some new teas for her to try she sat down on a cushion that had placed on the floor next to Cedren. Nuvaro came and sat beside his wife and awaited what the midwife had to say.

Midwife: "Well it seems that your mother in law is quite concerned about you. Asked me to come and look at you. Seems that you are having a hard time getting around now. Much more than usual."

Cedren: "Yes that is true. Was wondering your thoughts on me remaining in beast form for the duration of the pregnancy. I believe I can be more comfortable that way. What do you think?"

Nuvaro: "Yes, I was curious on your thoughts as well."

The midwife looked at both puzzled for a few moments before replying to them. After all it was not unusual to be asked so many questions especially her being the first female that could carry multiples that she has ever dealt with. She just was not prepared for how many were being thrown at her.

Midwife: "It never hurts to ask these questions. Especially when it involves mobility and comfortability. Since you are the first, I have dealt with that have more than one, I could not blame you in the least for wanting to be in your beast form to take the weight off."

Nuvaro: "So you are saying it is fine for her to be that way? There will be no issues then?"

Midwife: "I do not see why not, after all, I would want to be comfortable in this type of situation. Do not worry, I will see about making a supporting belly brace for you to help ease some burdens. Who knows, if it is really that comfortable, I may recommend it to future patients."

Cedren: "So then the idea is fine then? I hope I will not look to silly to everyone if I am walking around the home in my beast form."

Nuvaro: "Well they will just have to get past it now will they not? After all, they are not the ones walking around in such a state, now are they?"

Cedren: "I understand that my love, but your father is the worst about it. He takes every opportunity to tease me as it is, and I do not think I can handle him heckling me over having to be in beast form now."

Midwife: "Do not worry. I will make sure that Mai is there when I tell him that you need a more peaceful environment. She will most likely smack your father in the side of the head if he starts being an ass again."

Nuvaro: (Laughing loudly at the thought of his mother smacking his father in public yet again.) "You are right, mother would do that to him in public just to make him embarrassed. After all, Cedren is carrying their grandchildren and should set a better example and not be a jerk."

Cedren: "Would your mother actually do that? Well now that would be something to see. But for now, dinner and a bath before bed. I do appreciate you coming to the house today."

Midwife: "Not a problem. I will return when I have made the belly brace for your so, we can fit it, I will make sure to allow for your growing belly in these last two months."

Cedren: "Thank you for that."

Nuvaro: "Yes thank you. Now I will help her to the bath for the evening while you talk with father and mother about her. And we look forward to your next visit."

Smiling as she waved goodbye, she walked out toward the main hall where Nuvaro' s father and mother were waiting the news from her. Letting them know it would be fine for her to remain in beast form as it would be more comfortable on her in the long run. Giving Mai free reign to smack her husband if needed. While she was doing that, Nuvaro and Cedren had made their way to the baths for the evening to enjoy a good soak. As usual, the maids had laid out a new kimono for her to wear. After their bath they joined everyone in the dining hall. Mai and Ren helping once again with the table and chair set up that was designed for Cedren. They made idle chit chat as Mai pointed out in front of everyone present that Nuvo needed to keep his comments to himself and help create a calmer environment for Cedren.

All Ren and Nuvaro could do was sit by and snicker as his mother got on his father's case. As late evening approached, Nuvaro and Cedren retired to their room. Cedren kissed him once again before reverting to her beast form. The look of total and complete relief was apparent on Cedren' s face as she laid on the bed. Nuvaro just stared in surprise as she seemed to look so comfortable. He stared at her for a long time admiring her beast form. He loved the way her Leopard look mixed with albino tiger just spoke volumes to his blood. The slight hint of spots blending with the subtle stipes and almost mane line fur lightly draping around her neck as the lower part of her legs looked almost cuffed. He just sat in his bed placing his wife's head in his lap. She purred softly as he stroked her head. Thinking she may be more comfortable, he to reverted to his beast form and laid beside her. Strong and burly, his features were also that of leopard mixed with tiger. His fur tuffs almost mirroring that of Cerden's, except much thicker in its fullness and his coloration for the tiger stripes were almost a burned grey in look. Nuzzling her he proceeded to fall asleep next to her. The next day she would start her life for a short time in beast form only. It would be the only way to be comfortable during the last stage of her pregnancy. After all, no one wants to be uncomfortable. And so, she would willingly remain in her beast form, unless she was bathing or eating dinner, till the end of her pregnancy.
