8.Training

[A/N: It should be demonic power instead of devil magic, but I have a massive headache to edit. So I will do it later(hopefully). There are a ton of errors in this chapter, so forgive me in advance for that. At least it gets better from ch. 11]

Walking inside the Mansion I stopped mid-track and found Layla humming a song. But I didn't stop because of her humming, it was because of the attire she was wearing.

"Umm… Layla. What exactly are you wearing?" I ask looking at the girl who was wearing a frilly black and white dress that didn't even reach her knees with thigh-high stockings and her hair tied in a bun. The dress made her already great figure look even more curvy not to mention the cleavage that was visible because of the dress.

"Oh, this? I saw this once in a movie from the human world where the young master ordered the maids to wear this dress. So I bought it thinking you will like it." She said flashing an innocent smile.

'Yep. She is an airhead. But no point thinking about it now.' Shaking my head I replied. "Yeah, it looks good on you. By the way, have you seen my father?"

"Oh, I totally forgot! Lord Seere told me to tell you that he will be waiting for you at the peerage training hall. I am sorry for not telling you earlier." She said with a perfect ninety-degree bow.

"Sigh It's alright. I will just tell my father that I got busy with something. Don't worry about it."

"Thank you, young master." She said, still maintaining the pose.

"You don't have to do that when there is no one around, Layla. You already know that I am not comfortable with these things."

"I see, young master. I will keep that in mind."

"Alright now, I should not keep father waiting any longer. See you around, Layla."

"Have a good time, young master."

"Hn."

[Peerage Training Ground]

Looking at my father patiently waiting on the training ground, I feel slightly bad to keep him waiting. But nothing can be done now.

Walking down the stairs I greet my father. "Hello father, I apologize for being late. I got busy with my studies."

"It's alright. I got here only a few minutes ago." He said before taking out a feather from his pocket. "So I will be starting your devil magic training from today." He said smiling.

"So I will start with the basics that is demonic power. After that I want you to cast demonic spells."

(A/N: Demonic power is the term used to describe Devil magic. I have mixed the word at many places, but please overlook it for now. I will edit this later)

Furrowing my eyebrows I ask him. "Casting spells, how? I don't even know how to access demonic power."

"What is devil magic based on?" He answers my question with another question.

My eyes instantly widen at that as I remember the basic principle of Devil magic. "Imagination." The word came out of my mouth even without me realizing.

His lips curved up at and said. "Indeed it is imagination. And I didn't say that we will start with spells right off the bat. Firstly, I will teach you how to draw demonic power."

He sighed and said, "Then we will move onto our Bloodline skill."

Yes 'Bloodline skills', just like in my previous world where bloodline limits existed, the existence of skills exclusive to specific clans or pillars is not rare in this world either. Every devil pillar has a specific ability exclusive to their bloodline that allows them to use it on various occasions.

The Bael got their 'power of destruction.'

The Sitri has the ability to manipulate water.

Phenex has its immortality and flames.

Belial has 'worthless' which allows them to nullify any magical ability.

Similarly, our Pillar has the ability to teleport and sense treasures. Which might not seem that great compared to the previously mentioned pillars, because every devil has the ability to teleport. But this is where the twist occurs. Unlike other devils, which requires their pillar crest to teleport along with the countless restrictions placed over the said teleportation, Seere teleportation doesn't suffer from any of those. The only time we use our pillar crest during teleportation is when there is a formal event as we need to show our status using the crest teleportation method. But when we use our bloodline ability we can teleport to anywhere within a fraction of a second, even the places with seals that prevent teleportation. This allows Seere members to teleport rapidly without any restrictions. As for treasure sense, it is an ability that allows us to find precious items. As long as we can imagine how the item looks, we can pinpoint the exact location, where the item is kept. Added the teleportation skill, this is a very deadly ability.

The first time I heard about the Seere pillar ability made me think of a certain S-rank Space and Time Jutsu, [Hiraishin no Jutsu/Flying Thunder God Jutsu]. Similarly to the Hiraishin, our Pillar ability allows us to teleport to places continuously without consuming much time. But in a way our ability is even better than the [Hiraishin no Jutsu] as unlike Hiraishin which requires the user to previously mark the location to teleport, we can teleport to the location as long as we can imagine it and it exists. Which is totally an overpowered skill.

And this made me ask my father one question.

"Is it possible for a devil of the Seere pillar to teleport objects other than ourselves?"

My father replied with a nod, "It is indeed possible to teleport other beings and objects using our teleportation magic, but other than your dead great grandfather, no other devil has been successful in doing so. Even I am only able to teleport myself and objects as small as a table at max using my magic."

This made me both happy and a bit concerned. Happy that it was possible and concerned that other than my grandfather no other devil was successful in doing so. Did the ability to die alongside my grandfather? Or is it because no other devil was able to figure out the mechanism of it? 'Something to think about later.' I said under my breath.

"But we will talk about our bloodline ability later. Are you ready to learn about demonic power?" He asked me with a serious look on his face. And without wasting a second I replied. "Yes."
