First Stop

The people that are going to join me in this journey will be myself, Laur, Kirth, King, Wright, Craw Squad, Iman Squad, Indro Squad, and Bubba and his subordinate Noar. Craig is also with us since he is part of the Craw Squad. Grano is in charge of the Village while I am away and Exel will be the head of security. We estimated that we will be away for about 2 weeks so I hope that the village will be fine without me. We brought a lot of products and items from the village and Norman Town.

Just as planned, we first head towards the direction of the town of the Minotaurs. Bubba told me that the name of the town is Baugan. Our journey is slower compared to our travels in Norman town since there are no roads and we have a lot of things we carry. We also have elves that are not experienced with traveling and Wright is also here who is the only one not capable of fighting in our team. We brought him here as a member of the Council and as a blacksmith and carpenter.

We settled in for the night here right at the edge of the Northern part of the Crimson Woods. We expect to arrive at Baugan tomorrow.

It is now the next day and we have now arrived outside of the Crimson Forest. Just like Norman Town, we see a huge plain. We continued our travel until we can spot a settlement. Everyone was so happy about it until Bubba told us that the town we are seeing in the town of the Orcs, which is named Gaorus. Bubba told us to go towards the right side and we will eventually arrive at Baugan. Many were of course dismayed since they are having a hard time dealing with this long period of travel and are tired of riding elks. We are by the way using the elks to carry the products we brought through a caravan.

It is now the afternoon of the second day of travel and we can now spot Baugan. So it takes One and 3/4 days to reach this place. We really need to create roads for that. Anyways as soon as we reach the gates, we were quickly stopped by Minotaur Guards with wooden spears.

"Who are you? What is your purpose of coming to our town?"

"We are traveling merchants and we are here to sell you some products you will need. Here have some of our products."

I gave the two guards some purple apple juice that was created by the cooking squad. I was impressed by the taste so I am sure this will work. The guards were impressed by the juice. They were happy but are clearly still trying to be a pro.

"Ahem, anyway. Are you sure all of you are merchants and not spies?'

"Of course these are all my servants and my guards and this lovely lady is my wife sir."

I of course had all of us disguise as merchants using the clothes created by the seamstress.

"Ok. I will let you all pass but if you do ever trouble our town you will all surely be kicked out."

"Yes sir!"

We were all then allowed to go inside. That was easy. As soon as we all went to the gates, we then all saw Baugan Town. Just like Bubba described, this town is less developed compared to Norman Town. The houses were outdated, some roads were still made of dirt, and wood is the most common material on everything. I know wood is good but the wood here looks so old and rotten and I never saw a single item made out of iron here. But what I was not expecting is the fact that this town is bigger than what I expected. I think this is bigger than Norman Town. There is also a lot of farmlands which make them self-reliant. I can see a lot of potential in this town.

Now that we are in, we quickly went to a spot that can attract a lot of attention. We set up a mini shop and we will be selling some food. Meatballs on sticks to be exact. The meat we are using is cow meat and deer meat that is from the village. The meat was already prepared and is only needed to be grilled. We of course seasoned it using salt and soy sauce. I already know that this town uses the same currency as Norman Town. I and Laur are the main cooks and Kirth is the main salesman. The first batch is done and we displayed it. I hope that the minotaurs can smell the aroma of the meat. One minotaur went to Kirth and asked.

"How much is this, Young beastman?"

"It would be 5 coppers sir," Kirth replied.

"Five Coppers? That is way too expensive. No way I am buying that!"

I then intervened.

"My dear sir. Since you will be our first customer, we will let you eat these meatballs for free and we will let you judge if the taste is worth its price."

"Fine then."

Then the minotaur took a bite. I was of course nervous because what if this taste does not fit with the minotaurs? But my fear was quickly disapproved.

"AMAZING!!!!! This is so tasty!!"

A huge crowd then piled up right in front of us.

"Really?"

"If it is tasty then we will buy it too!"

"I will try it too!"

All of them had the same reaction as the first customer. Many more customers have arrived in our mini-store. I ordered the elf guards to maintain peace and make them fall in line.

The business is going well, but this is not what I am waiting for. I am still waiting for something to happen.

Wright, who was our cashier, told me that the earnings now have reached a thousand copper coins which are 10 gold coins. We sure earned a lot in a short amount of time but I am still waiting for something until Craig approached me.

"Sir Wreck! A group of minotaur guards is finding the leader of this group, which is you, sir."

"Ok. Come with me then."

I and Craig now went to the location of about 8 guards.

"Are you the leader of the traveling merchants?"

"Yes. What is it?"

"I am here to tell you that you do not have a permit to sell your products so you need to come with us to our town hall."

Now, this is what I have been waiting for!
