Confess

Narrator's POV

The four members of the Former Reid Squad Blu, Yela, Grim, and Chae are all waiting right outside of the doors of the Inner Halls of Palace where the King is currently located. As the leader of the squad, Blu decided to have some words before they proceed with their plan.

"Guys, listen to me first." Blu broke the silence.

"Sure thing Blu."

"We are all here risking our career and our lives for the sake of our Leader and His Family."

"I mean, isn't that kind of obvious?"

"It is, which is why if you do not want to risk your life and your families' life, I suggest that you can back out. I can handle this myself."

The three were stunned with what their current leader said. Grimm and Yela then proceeded to laugh while Chae smiled.

"Wh-Why are you guys laughing?! This is not funny this is serious matters!" Blu asked as he was confused.

"Damn you sure know how to make us laugh Blu. You really think we are that dumb?" Grimm said.

"Wh-What?!"

"Grimm is right Blu. We are not dumb. We know that we are risking everything here, and we are ready for it. Isn't that what friends are for? Captain Reid is needing our help and we are willing to risk everything for him here. I am more worried if you do this alone! You really are so nervous right now! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Yela announced and Grimm also laughed with her.

Blu was dumbfounded. He was just blinded with fear but he then realized that he had friends with him in times of danger. He then proceeded to join their laughter.

"Ok, now that we are all clear let us proceed, and good luck to all of you!"

"Yes Sir!"

Blu's POV

After worrying about our future, I then ordered the start of our plans. With my announcement, Grimm and I then pushed the doors of the Inner Halls unveiling the insides of it. Everyone that was inside was of course really surprised.

"Wh-What are you, kids, doing here!!!!!"

"Guards!! Capture these invaders!"

"How dare you invade our meeting!"

Yes, our plan was to barge in the Meeting of the Highest Ranks of our Kingdom. It was a very flawed plan yet we took our chances. We believe we can execute this.

I scanned the entire room to see who was present. I see his Highness King Ebriz II at the edge of the long table. Right by his sides are our hot targets, Minister Mello Lasterson and General Raminoff Vaslish. The rest includes the Family Heads Marlosth Edicka, Ronrack Sanisols, and Eilish Ackerath. Looks like everything is going according to our predictions.

Some guards then approached us which I quickly responded.

"Grimm, Chae, block the incoming guards!"

"Roger!"

The heads were all mad and confused just as expected.

"What are you kids doing here?" The head of the Ackerath Family asked.

"I am Blu and this is my squad. We are soldiers of the Army."

"Army? What are your boys doing here Raminoff!!!" The Edicka Family head asked.

General Raminoff is noticeably mad.

"I was about to ask that. What are you soldiers doing here!!!" The general shouted as his voice echoed throughout the halls.

"Your Highness, me, and my squadmates are here to tell you that we are going to clean the name of the Habsber Family!" I announced.

"You insolent fool! What are you trying to do!" General asked but he was stopped by the King.

"Be quiet General. We need to handle this with a calm mind. Minister, how do you think should we handle this?"

Damn! The king asked the Minister! He will surely deny us! I need to act now!"

"Your Highne-!!"

"We should hear what they say My Liege."

What?

Did the minister just accept us?

Why did he do that?

"Alright then. Guards stop the fighting and we should hear what these soldiers have to say." The king announced as the guards quickly stopped attacking my friends.

"Th-Thank you, sire!"

"Hurry up before I throw you out. What do you have to say?"

Yes! Now I can prove to them everything!

"My King, Like I said earlier we are here to clean the Habser's name."

"Right, and how are you going to do that?"

"I am going to tell you that the incident a month ago was falsely investigated and the culprits are not the Habsbers!"

Everyone inside the room was shocked like expected. General Raminoff was particularly shocked.

"Blu! So you are saying that the Minister and I did an awful job?"

"Yes sir and I am here to prove it to you with evidence!" I replied.

The King was intrigued by my statements.

"Bold Words young man. You are fighting against the two highest-ranking officials of the country besides myself." The King spoke.

Minister Mello is surprisingly silent which worries me but I still need to proceed.

"Yela call your uncle in!"

"Ok!"

After a minute of waiting, Warden Isac entered the room with a bow to the King.

"Your Highness."

"Warden Isac, what brings you here?"

"I came here to prepare the evidence sire."

"Alright then proceed young man." The King ordered.

"Ehem. Everyone! Before I tell you the truth, you first need to see the evidence that we have prepared."

Sir Isac and Grimm then brought the culprits in after I signaled them which made the crowd very interested.

"Let me tell you who these people are. These bodies are Gace and Predo. The two culprits of the incidents that made the Habsber Family traitors. What if I tell you that they are not from the Habsbers and I have evidence?"

"Are you sure about that boy?" Sir Ronrack asked.

"Yes, and it is this!" I shouted as I point on the necks of the culprit.

"This is the Special Mark of the Vaslish Family which means that the culprit behind all of this is no other than General Raminoff! But not only him! He also was helped by the Minister Lasterson!"

Everyone in the room was shocked, especially the King. They were all stunned except for one. General Raminoff was laughing.

"HAHAHA HAHAHA! So it is me? How dare you Blu! So you are saying a mere mark that may or may not be true is the evidence? HAHAHAHAHA!"

Everyone in the room was convinced by the General's words. This is bad. I was expecting him to be caught off-guard and confess but he seems prepared as if he knew.

"What are you going to do now Blu?" General asked.

I was silent. All of us were. We do not know what to do. We are screwed if no acts, but suddenly an unfathomable event occurred.

*SLAM*

"I am going to confess."

Suddenly, Minister Lasterson slammed the table and stood up. Don't tell me he is going to help us?

"Your Highness, what this young man speaks are all facts, General Raminoff and I are the masterminds behind all of the incidents last month."
