Chapter Forty-Nine

"I still say you shouldn't have let him go," Captain Raffin said. "You have no idea if any of the stuff he told you is going to check out."

"If I need him, I know where to find him," Captain Banner didn't like being questioned and opposed on everything. Technically he was the senior officer, but Raffin argued about everything.

"So we just go looking for a drug dealer in the reserve and he's going to give up Rivers?"

"Joe is cousin to this dealer -"

"All the more reason not to trust him. These people hold to family come hell or high water."

"Not when their actions are getting your kids killed," Banner said. "Creeley is going to do a sweep through the reserve tonight. Joe told me the places his cousin usually hangs out. If he isn't there, I'll get Aspen to do a sweep through the community for him."

"She's a loose cannon," Raffin shook his head.

"She knows this kind of work," Banner frowned. "She did this kind of thing in Afghanistan several times. She'll keep it professional."
