When age rules the country, it’s hard to be young.

Trey runs away from the youth reserve, sure he’s no more than spare parts for a father he barely remembers. The Council of Elders has its own questions about the him. When Trey find the Underground and joins the fight to give rights back to the Youngers, he starts a chain of events beyond anyone’s control.

Generation Gap

"What do you think you were doing?" Jimmy said in a hiss as soon as the door closed behind them. 


"We need him," Trey said. "He's the only link we have to find out if Councilor Molloy really is dirty."


"You as much as told him there were people watching him. What if he tries to trade that to Molloy? We don't need the Geris knowing about us."


"It's a sure thing they know we exist. We can put a team in the shelter to keep an eye on him. We need him alive and in place to get to Molloy."


"Damn, damn, damn," Jimmy said, "I don't like this."  He climbed into the van and threw himself into a seat. "We need to talk to the Chief."


"When this mission is done," Bert said, "we'll all be talking to the Chief." A beep sounded from the front of the van. "There's our cue. Lizzy is with the target. It's time to move."
