"I'm impressed that you were able to kill my slaves," he said, "but you are incomplete. Even with all your strength, you are weak. Come to me and I will complete the change. We will rule the world together."

The dreams were easy to ignore. Medea smelled of blood even in my dreams. I had no interest in his offer.

"Just push him out of your head," Bubba said, "don't let him get to you."

"We have to finish this war," I said, "I'm sure that the reason you haven't had to chase any vampires all week is that he is holding them back for another attack. Maybe he thinks that if you're gone that he will be able to leave the swamp."
