Chapter 95: Homecoming (Part 1)

It was late at night as they approached, unarmed, on foot, their hands at their sides. They flew no flags of peace, but they walked in the middle of the road, clear of any cover, and for all to see: Leah, Olorus, Hook, and Worth.

The light of double moons illuminated the sentries atop the walls of Cervice watching their approach. The main gate's doors were closed-very odd. In the days of her grandfather's youth, barbarians attempted to pillage some of the outlying neighborhoods. Citizens were pulled back to the interior of the city while the army was dispatched against the raiders. To her knowledge, that was the last time those gates had been closed.
