Chapter 143: Cosmic Messenger

The rising sun was visible for only a few seconds before slipping behind the clouds. It was the coldest day yet. So cold that Leah wasn't surprised when the snow began to fall. Tiny pellets pitter-pattered against sword, shield, helmet, and armor, creating a sound like many toy drums.

Leah stood with Olorus, Hook, Worth, Sif, and two thousand other soldiers on the front lines. She would have preferred to have been on steedback, but with fewer steeds than soldiers, all the fighters around her were on foot, and it was better to stand beside them than over them. She had lost count of how many troops she now commanded in Cervice, but she knew it was over nine thousand.
