Chapter 84

Charlotte cleared her throat. "My gift fer ye, Odo, is bestowed unto ye through these words and in this pyxis. It is my invocation to ye to accept this gift, and with persistence, may ye dwell upon these words and heed my precept ~ fer gift lays within. Gift is my legacy. Blessed be to yer. Odo nodded. "I see it now."

"And what do we do with this?" Charlotte held the vellum up. "Cathal?"

"I cannot influence yer; this is yer decision and choice, Odo."

"Do we inform the Templars? Charlotte asked.

"I think we should," Odo replied slowly, but it does not mean they will have it, but it is only fair to tell them we have what they seek so they can stop looking fer it. It is wrong to hide this from them. What happens afterwards depends on what they say and do."

Cathal smiled. "Ye are a proper and just man, Odo."

Odo grimaced at the acknowledgement. "We need to hide and keep it safe." He scratched at his head. "I have an idea."
