Sir Hyde tried to stifle a laugh. He shook his head. "How is it, Baldric, that one rapacious man with so much power can cause so much misery to many?"

Steward Baldric rose from behind the desk. "Milord, ye must be careful, the bishop may be all ye say, but he is still a bishop."
