Cemel was more relieved than his second in command could imagine. He was successful. He would never take this risk again, as this exercise could have equally destroyed the delicate human mind he had opened. She could have rejected him and Talokta would have to spend even more time in his body convincing her. And the ceremony would have to be postponed again or worst, cancelled. The repercussions were enormous, besides all the embarrassment, he would lose face and be the laughing stock.


More importantly, he could not get over the fact that if her powers were any more developed, she would have seen through his manipulation. She only needed her powers to be released and he shuddered to think what could happen, as all trust would be gone
