Chapter 111: Mindfull Mischief Part 4

A few seconds later, the hedge loomed up like a dark shadowy guard. At this particular point it was six meters away from the Fortress’ walls and there was only a single, torch light. She looked down the wall towards the Grand Entrance. She judged the dozen or so guards on duty were too far away to spot her, especially with dim light. She stood a good chance, especially in common servant’s robes. Sure as hell her shiny one would stand out a mile.

Again, luck was on her side. Crawling on her belly under the hedge, she had no trouble squeezing through. To her, it stood two or three stories tall.

Within minutes she was deep in the gardens breathing in sweet smelling grass. She took a deep breath and exhaled. Ah, that sweet oxygen…
