Talokta and Montava had honed in on the foreign craft that was gaining on the vulnerable Tremulus.

“Concentrate on the main drive, destroy them,” stated Talokta cooly, “keep them from their target at all costs…”

“Incoming…” yelled Montava.

A violent shudder went through their own ship as the enemy's fire hit their flank. Nerrod’s ship had a magnetic force field that allowed weapon fire to ‘bounce’off the hull. The IU ship did not get a second chance, as it attempted evasive maneuvers.

Montava’s return fire hit one of the IU drive’s auxiliary units on the belly, and the explosion split the hull open. It gaped open like a silent screaming mouth.

“Shalash…it is crashlanding….” reported Montava.

Talokta had already made his calculation and decision.

“Take us down…”
