Leah decided to marvel at the Trimadian’s genius later. Right now, her little charade against the Trimadian scourge was finally beginning.

Xarva halted in his tracks and turned to her, his dark eyes burned into hers. “Did I, did we—kiss?”

She smiled and nodded gently, “Ahh you do remember. Yes, we were getting—well, intimate, we had some fun. When you went to stand, you lost your balance, fell against the tree and I didn’t have the strength to move you until you came around just now.”

He shook his head in bewilderment. “But, how did we get here?”

Leah found it so amusing—such a cold, hard and disciplined warrior had now all but lost his power. She had all the power now.

“You were escorting me to my room after the feast and I needed some fresh air. You suggested a brief walk in the gardens, which was an excellent idea.”
