Sun turned to Archer, elated. They made it!
"All clear," she smiled at him. He smiled back, still tightly controlled, though Sun could tell he was just as happy.
"Great job," he told her for the second time. She thrilled at the compliment.
Her panel beeped at her urgently. Sun spun back to it, trying to keep her focus and not panic, especially after they made it safely away.
"Something's wrong," she frowned, trying to understand. It wasn't anything to do with the function of the ship. It looked more like a localized issue. Archer stood over her shoulder before she knew he moved.
"Internal sensor," he said. His voice was so grim she spun to look at him. "It appears we have a stowaway."
"What?" That could only mean one thing. And the possibility terrified her.
