Delighted, if not a Little Cruel

Back in the inn, ZhiYi had put AhXin away in his dwelling before he started arranging their belongings. He was getting everything ready to leave the city the next day.

MingYu watched him for a while before he tossed his outer robes aside and climbed on the bed like a scolded child. He hated this, hated how ZhiYi could act so nonchalantly when everything was going wrong in this city. He was packing up as if their vacation was over, and it was time to leave Wupei. Come hell or high water, there was no way MingYu would leave this city without a solution to everything!

ZhiYi could sense the reluctance and defiance emitting from him in waves, and even as they settled down to bed and sleep, MingYu pouted at him and turned his back to the man.

ZhiYi poked him in the back, fishing out a little grunt as a response. "Are you mad at me?"

"No." MingYu was already past that state. He was seething!
