Chapter 89: Kaminski's Men

Kaminski walked into Sickbay to visit her wounded pilots. She started with Corporal Collins who was in recovery loudly singing and laughing with his squad who had brought the party to him. There was one obvious absence. Major Bruce Kipling would normally be the loudest baritone in the chorus. To not hear it left a definite void. As she entered the room, they all stopped and stood at attention. "Relax boys, sounds like a great party. I'm surprised these navy docs are letting you get away with such a ruckus."

One of the men spoke up. "Collins here is a hero Ma'am they know it. He took out five of those albes himself. We have to give him his wing. He's now a triple ace. Top of the crew. Hurrah!"

"Hurrah!" the rest of the group yelled.

Kaminski could not help but smile a moment as it was a joy to see her men in such high spirits. "Good man Collins. Keep that up, and you just might make officer someday."
