Diamond City Trilogy

It was a simple thing for Fresco to open up and find Daniel and follow the trail back to him. It was quite another to soothe the trio when he led Garris into their hiding place. The old Genvieve probably would have killed him on the spot. This new and fragile version, however, just stared with a broken expression, her pain so raw and open Fresco felt like he betrayed her.


"We think we have a plan." Fresco gestured to Garris. "We found out what was on the disk."


Daniel didn't move, but his anger was clear and he looked like he wanted to leave the room.


"I can't believe you brought him here." He refused to look at Garris, just stared at his brother, eyes cold. You can't tell them. Not now. It's too much, Fres.


"Please, listen." Fresco sat down and was grateful when the others did, too. And despite Daniel's continued attempts to quiet him, Fresco told them everything, about the kill switch and Medley's plan. Genvieve looked fearful then skeptical, but Strom started nodding.
