Christmas Party (Part 2)

Gustav and Gloria were stunned by the sudden declaration of their daughter. They didn't know how to react.

The woman called Renata was red-haired with honey-color eyes. She was taller than Felicia and more mature, but her expression was polite and warm when she was looking at Felicia, her eyes have a hint of caring and love. However, there was a problem with that person, she wasn't someone of an important family, even for a family they have heard off like the Mo family.

In other words, at least, Gustav, her father, didn't approve of his daughter's relationship with an outsider.

Her parents were right. Renata was from a low-middle class family, while Mijail was from a middle-high family. She was a beautiful lady, but her background was something the Lewis family didn't like nor approve. Felicia knew that that was going to be her parent's reaction, so she was reluctant to present her. She even had the thought of running away with Renata, but Renata told her that that was incorrect and that her family would be sad if she disappeared just like that. After giving a second thought, Felicia agreed with Renata.

"Felicia, she is an outsider. It is for the best if you marry Mijail. You seem to enjoy the time you have with him," her father told her.

"Your father is right Felicia, you might not be happy with her after some time," her mother tried to convinced her.

"You don't understand, I love her and she loves me. We will be happy together," Felicia was on the verge of crying.

Renata noticed and hugged her. Felicia covered her face with Renata's shoulder. The guests that were closer to them looked in their direction and began to whisper.

Like that, Felicia calmed herself and faced her parents one more time.

"You told me if I like or love someone, I could marry that person," Felicia was firm with her conviction and love. Her parents would not change her mind.

Suddenly, Dayana appeared next to Mijail.

"Mijail, lift me," she said while raising her to little arms up. She had a sleepy face.

Mijail looked down at her and smiled, but when he was going to lift her, Renata told him to wait.

"Dayana, Mijail seems a bit tired, what do you think if I lift you?" Renata smiled at the little girl that was next to Mijail.

Dayana first felt suspicious, but she looked at Mijail and noticed that what Renata said was true and she forgot that Mijail was injured two days ago. He still had the bandage around his arm.

Dayana let Renata lift her and began to fell asleep. For some reason, Dayana felt comfortable in Renata's arms.

Gloria watched her child's attitude and began to consider Renata's behavior and character.

"Felicia-" her father was going to say something more but Kenneth stopped him.

"Father, we are having a party and the guests have begun to whisper between them, I think we can continue this conversation in a more private place, however, that might be rude to your guests. I recommend to let go for now Felicia and her partner, and enjoy the party," Kenneth said calmly.

His mother, Gloria, was amazed by the way Kenneth stopped his father and she agreed with him giving no choice to Gustav to let go of the matter for time being.

Felicia was happy with her brother. She felt that it was indeed a good idea to ask him for help during the presentation. Now, she had the time to be with Renata without worrying about her parents' thoughts.

Mijail looked at the happy couple and began to wonder when he could experience the same.

Renata looked over with a smile, thankful for the help he and Kenneth provided. Felicia took her to Dayana's room to leave the asleep girl in her bedroom.

"They made a good pair, you know?" a female voice rang behind Mijail: it was Ruby and Katie that approached them after everything was settled.

"Yes, I hope they can be happy," Mijail smiled lightly.

"Everyone wants to have a happy ending, but sometimes reality is harsh," Katie simply said with her pretty smile.

Kenneth felt he was ignored. It was the first time he felt like that.

"Ehm!" he cleared his mouth and the three people looked at him.

Mijail was scared because he completely forgot that Kenneth was with them. Katie and Ruby looked at him and their smiles became brighter.

"Prince Lewis, long time no see," they greeted each other. Mijail felt that all the attention was switched to Kenneth.

"Yes, I see you are enjoying yourselves tonight," Kenneth said to the two girls. For some reason, Mijail felt that the atmosphere was becoming tense.

"Haha, you are right. We just met this wonderful guy. He is handsome and well-mannered," Ruby said excitedly while hugging Mijail from the side.

Dave and Josh were looking at where the four people were talking and noticed that when Ruby hugged Mijail, Kenneth's aura became colder and grim.

"Those ladies are socially dead," Josh said with a serious face.

"I think the same," Dave nodded confirming Josh's sentence.

"Thank you for the compliment," Mijail felt his face blushed and smiled shyly.

Kenneth was furious. He didn't want Mijail to smile to other people like that. He wanted everything of Mijail for him.

"Excuse me, but I have some things to talk with..." Felicia suddenly grabbed her brother's arm, leaving his words floating in the air.

Mijail, Ruby, and Katie looked at them speechless.

Felicia took Kenneth where she and Renata were chatting.

"What do you want Felicia?" Kenneth was disgusted with the sudden action of Felicia.

"I have something to tell you about Mijail," Felicia looked directly at her brother's eyes.

Kenneth rise his eyebrow and wait for Felicia to continue.

Renata stood behind Felicia giving her the support to tell what she needed to tell her brother.

"Mijail has someone he likes, or at least he is still confused," Felicia began saying.

"Did he tell you who?" Kenneth was breaking apart with the sudden news, but he didn't show it, he just wait for his sister to answer the question that was now bothering him.

"He didn't, but he told me that he had an accident with that person in a haunted house that his friend's class organized. He told me that he kissed that person and felt his heart racing and his face blush, then he apologized and ran away," Felicia narrated everything she talked with Mijail.

When Kenneth heard the story, his lips curled up and went straight where Mijail was still having a chat with those two wretches. Felicia was confused with her brother's reaction.

Mijail felt that someone was looking at him, and saw that Kenneth was getting closer and closer. Kenneth's parents too saw him got closer to Mijail with a smile they have long forgotten.

Mijail first thought was that Kenneth's smile was dazzling and then he began to wonder why he was approaching.

Finally, Kenneth got in front of him, "Kenn-"

Kenneth embraced Mijail and gave him a profound long kiss.
