Leaving... Something Behind?

"Darling, how much you were standing there?" Kate asked him as nothing happened.

"I arrived the moment you told Mijail that you knew a little secret between me and Lev," Mark's face was dark.

"Haha, you heard that..." Kate was laughing nervously.

"Forget it, Mijail go and meet your father. Also, gave him our greetings," Mijail's father looked at him with a kind face.

Suddenly, Mijail remembered something.

"Oh, right. I have something to tell you, my engagement with Felicia has been canceled," Mijail told them with a smile.

"Ah, well, his father called us today in the morning after you arrived. So there's no problem," Kate smiled, but then, Mijail noticed that his father was in a strange position. He guessed that maybe his mother got to know the real agreement.

Mijail thought about going abroad and gave his answer.

"I'll go. Father, I need some help with the school's documents," Mijail decided. He still was in a mess with his feelings, so he thought it could be a good idea to leave for some time and think in a different environment.

Mark smiled and went together with Mijail to the school. Once they arrived, they talked with the principal and Mijail's teacher. Everything was in order and the university at Derlang had a similar program.

Now it was the 30th of December and Mijail finished packing everything he needed. He called Megan and Aetos to meet him at the airport.

"Well, I'm leaving today. We will meet again in three years," Mijail told his friends with a light smile.

Megan had tears in her beautiful eyes and hugged him, "You must keep contact."

"Of course I'll try my best!" Mijail hugged her back. Aetos looked at them and smiled while nodding.

His siblings looked at him and hugged him.

"Please take care of yourself," Heller told him.

Frieda was crying and Hackett hugged him in silence.

Now it was the turn for his parents to bade farewell. Kate was crying but she also was smiling. She was happy that the little baby that she took care of so long was finally able to meet his biological father. Mark also was happy, but not just for Mijial, but his good friend Lev. Mark knew more about the problems Lev was having with his family during the first three years of Mijail. He understood why Lev didn't want to take Mijail with him when he had the chance.

Mijail hugged his mother tightly and shook hands with his father.

"Passengers of flight 28, please proceed to the boarding area," a female voice called the passengers of the flight Mijail was in.

"Well, it's time. I'll call you the moment I arrive," Mijail said while waving his hand while having his luggage on the other one.

With those words, Mijail boarded the plane and traveled for twelve hours.

Kenneth woke up at 8:30 in the morning and went to look for Mijail.

However, he found that his mother was already awake and was having some coffee.

"Good morning Kenneth, hope you had a good sleep," Gloria greeted his son with a warm smile, "If you are looking for Mijail, he already left. Also, he had a confused look."

After hearing the news, Kenneth got stunned for some minutes. His face showed a complex expression, something unusual for Kenneth. His mother smiled even more after seeing that that boy named Mijail could make his son very expressive. 'Badly he left in a hurry, he is a good boy' she thought for herself.

"I'll go to his house," Kenneth returned to his usual cold self, but his mother stopped him.

"You don't have time for that, you need to help your father with some business after the 'news' that you gave him at the party in front of everyone," Gloria didn't really want to stop his child, but it was true that their family was in a precarious situation after ending connections with Judith's family.

Kenneth listened to his mother carefully and agreed with her.

He went straight to his father's office, where Gustav was already checking and signing some documents.

"I came to help you," Kenneth simply said and his father pointed at some documents which Kenneth could already sign with his name.

Five hours passed like that. Kenneth and his father finished everything they needed and could do.

"Kenneth, I need you to come with me to some business at Waldland. We are going for some vacations too and passed the New Year there," Gustav told his son with a serious face. They needed to make Judith's family pay for the lie they told them.

Kenneth obviously didn't want to go, but he also was worried about his family.

After that, the Lewis family prepare their things and packed everything they would use at Waldland. Kenneth called Dave and Josh to tell them that he was going to be out of the country for some time, he even might lose a week of school. Dave told him that there was no problem and that he would tell the teacher if he didn't return by the start of school activities.

Kenneth also wanted to return before school started just to start his plan of making Mijail fall in love with him.

After ending the call, Dave received one from his girlfriend Megan.

"Yes, my love?" Dave began with his flirting tone.

"Sorry for calling you, but I have some news that Kenneth needs to know about Mijail," Megan began saying.

"What news? Don't tell me that something happened to Mijail? Wait, how do you know that Kenneth is interested in Mijail's condition?" Dave asked with some confusion.

"Really? He is obvious. Before you came to our table at school, the first time we met, Kenneth was looking deeply at Mijail," Megan told Dave, "We are changing topics, the reason I call you is for you to tell Kenneth that Mijail has left the country to meet his biological father, about that, it is a long story, but the important matter at hand is that Mijail will not return for three years," Megan finished saying everything.

"That's bad, but I can't call him right now, he just boarded a plane to Waldland. He will not be reachable for five to six hours," Dave was desperate. He could imagine the changes Kenneth would have after knowing the news.

"Well, if that's the case, better call him the moment he lands. That's everything, I love you!" Megan ended the call after saying those words.

Like that, Kenneth left the country without knowing that he would not see again Mijail for some time.
