Chapter 6

Side-by-side, Sheriff Warren Richards and Abraham Churchill drove back to Creek Valley without saying much until they came across a small donut shop thirty-five minutes from where they had left off. Pulling into the tiny shopping area with around four or five shops doing business there, Sheriff Richards turned to Abraham and ask if he wanted a two donuts and a cup of ice-cold coffee. But Abraham declined his offer.

Although he was starving for something to eat from off the streets, he just wasn't in the mood for eating at the moment. Because going back to town of Union and seeing Katharine, caused his blood to be boiling, and now he was absorb with anger after thinking about all the effort and money he spent for meeting and having a date with her.

Only to realize that she was a dude, and to make matters worse, he had him locked inside his apartment and wouldn't let him go free and then was cruel enough to call the police on him, presuming that he was his brother and he was mentally ill and attacking her. Eventually causing him to be out of life's normal circulation for the past three months. That was been locked away in prison for a crime that he hadn't committed.

It was just too hard a pill for him to swallow, but he would have to find a way to crush those pills and swallow them down with a whole lot of water; because he had suffered already... he underwent these traumatic experiences, and there was nothing he could do now to change what had already being done to him.

Sheriff Richards return to the car with extra bags of donuts, extra cups with coffee and mango juices, even though Abraham told him that he didn't care for anything to eat right now. Squeezing himself around the steering wheel, the Sheriff offered Abraham once again and once again Abraham rejected his offer.

Instead of being annoyed by his rejections; the lack of participation in the feast, the sheriff just placed the cups in the cup holders, the two remaining bags of donuts inside the arm-rest pocket of the car and then began eating what he desire for himself; as he mentioned to Abraham that he might just need them for lunch when he return to his house and was feeling much better.

But Abraham was being honest, something else was consuming his mind, he was thinking about the car and the huge amount of money he was going to have to pay to the car rental company, especially, if any damages had been done to it.

He had plucked out of his account over six-hundred dollars in less than a day over one woman, only to find out, that she was a he, and a very wicked and malicious he at that!

And the more he thought about what he had been through with him kissing all over his face, massaging his manhood, almost sucking his tongue out of his head and also fondling all his body-parts, was the more his stomach turn within, making him want to vomit!

The closer and closer he had gotten to his own house where he had spent so many time fantasying and daydreaming about this devil of a woman or how she had conned him and manipulated his feelings, was the worst Abraham felt.

He was feeling very hurt and now the pinch of emotions were acting up behind his eyes, and severely he wanted to start crying, but there was no way, he was going to let a little shed of tear drop from his eyes in front fatso sitting beside him. Knowing that his moment of weakness might encourage him to start touching him, leading him to start taking advantage of him. Plus, he knew at that moment, he had very little strength inside him to fight that heavy weight giant seated beside him.

So he bit into his fist very hard subduing the painful emotions that were bottled up inside him and now quickly arising within him to make their appearance as they come streaming down his face.

Pulling up exactly in front of Abraham's gate and parking the state own vehicle, Sheriff Richards exclaimed; "I got you home safely, Buddy!" while reaching into the hand-rest glove compartment to grab the donuts he had bought for Abraham so he could hand them over to him before he exited the car.

Turning his face towards the sheriff Abraham sincerely thanked him for bringing him back to his house safely, stating that he would see him around sometime soon but once again, he was rejecting the donuts and mango juice the sheriff had bought for him earlier on. But the sheriff wouldn't allow him to leave out of the car without taking them from his hands.

"Come on and take them from my hand! You might need them later on to eat when some of the trauma has spelt over and your energy starts returning to normal!"

Sheriff Warren advised him.

Hesitantly, Abraham pulled the bags of donuts and mango juice from the sheriff's hands, waved him a friendly good-bye and walked up to the steps of his house. Opening the door, he turned around and notice that the sheriff was stilled parked-up there and he was fondling with something inside his glove compartment below the dash-board of his car before driving away. And as he did, he looked towards Abraham's front door and tooted his horn before speeding off down Creek Valley Avenue.

And as soon as he entered the house and closed the door behind him, Abraham practically threw the bags of donuts on his dining table and placed the cup of drink in the middle of the kitchen sink with the intention of spilling it down the drain, but refrained from doing so, because the telephone started ringing.

In his state of blueness, he really wasn't in the mood to speak with anyone, but it was the good old sheriff calling to let him know that he had drove by the car rental company to enquire about the vehicle and it was there, however, the report was, they had received it with the tires slashed and the front windscreen broken.

According to the car rental company receptionist; their insurance company was demanding that he pays an amount of five-hundred dollars to them before they would even consider sending anyone to collect the damage car where it was now located, and take it to the mechanics and having it fixed.

With all his experience and knowledge of the law, Sheriff Richards advised his friend that he should jump on it now because the price for having the car sitting there is surely adding up. And how the receptionist had stated to him that they have been calling his house continuously over the past two months so he could come and rectify the problem, but it seemed like no one was no longer living at the address he had given them.

Abraham now needed to forked out an additional eleven-hundred dollars from his pocket to cover this bill; five-hundred dollars for the insurance company deductible, two-hundred dollars for each month that the car had been sitting there on the parking lot of the company, and not bringing not even a red dime to the car service business.

Realizing the financial stress that his friend was presently under, Sheriff Richards decided to yank out one of his credit cards, paying the bill owed to the car rental company by his friend, not wanting to price to increase on him anymore, causing a tremendous drain to his pocket.

Abraham pleaded with him not to take such drastic actions on his behalf, but the sheriff insisted that he would, especially since he was already in the vicinity of the car rental company and had most of his credit cards inside his wallet.

However, this was no charity-club moment for Sheriff Richards, because he was certainly expecting for Abraham to pay him back as soon as possible for all that he was spending now to cover his bills with the car rental company. And he trusted that he would without any strife arising between the both of them.

Feeling just a little sense of relief, Abraham thank Sheriff Richards who he now saw as a very true friend before saying good-bye and hanging up the telephone. Still feeling hurt and depressed, he then went plopping his weak body down on one of the chairs in the living room, and seconds later, the tears began to flowing.

He just could phantom how something so drastic - so awful could have happened to him in just one day without any inclination that such was unfolding in front his very eyes. In his moment of tears he seriously thought about calling the dating service and give them a complaint about what their client had done to him but he wandered if anything positive would ever come of his report to them.

Certainly, he knew there was something that needed to be done to stop someone like Katharine or whatever his real name is from ever manipulating or taking advantage of someone like him ever again.

She had held him hostage, sent him to the mad-house so they could push psychotic drugs inside his body which weren't supposed to be there, damaged his property that was temporarily in his possession and now she had him pulling out money from his bank account and paying for all these flukes or acts of twisted fate.

He knew he couldn't let this kind of behavior slip, but right now, he was too frustrated, too upset, too angry, and there was no way he could conduct a straight conversation with anyone at the moment; so instead he went under the shower and from there, straight to bed he went with a heavy heart.

It was around ten o'clock in the night before Abraham's eyes were open resulting from the heavy rain drops on his roof. Resting on his back on the surface of his bed, he thought about the animals in the hangar and if they were mysteriously fed by his friend. Anxiously he aim at going outside to see about them but the downpour of rain was too much to make the trip, so he decided to flip through the television channels.

With the weight of his heavy heart subsiding, the dreadful pangs of hunger were becoming more imminent as the time went by. But what was inside his house that he could possible use to satisfy this hunger that was climbing upon him, actually making his head feel dizzy and belly kept on growling as though there was another living force dwelling inside of him.

Opening the door to his refrigerator, Abraham almost past out on the kitchen floor; all the foods inside it were badly spoil or stinking rotten to the core.

"Oh my god, this shit needs some serious cleaning!"

Abraham exclaimed with a twisted face and curled up nostrils while he held his breath for dear life. Slamming the fridge door shut, he haste to the kitchen sink to wash his hands and there he saw the large cup of mango juice that Sheriff Richards had bought for him.

Forgetting all about washing his hands, Abraham open the lid of the large plastic cup swallow down the mango juice which delicious taste had totally surprised him.

Shortly, he began heading towards the donuts on the dining table, opening the bags and biting huge chunks out of them repeatedly. He then started sucking out the soft red jelly substances and licking away the glazed sugar and chocolate from the top of them. Now he began making his way back to the kitchen sink to gobble down more of that sweet mango juice, but it was already gone from the first time the cup had touch his lips!

Nevertheless, Abraham was presently feeling much better and even some of the heaviness from his heart had been lifted. He was feeling alive, bright and optimistic again, and also ready to take on some of the challenges of the world once more.

Lying on his back with his feet elevated on the arms of the large grandmother couch, he thought about all that he was going to do as soon as it was day break and the would began turning in its normal order. And his first priority of the day was to get to the bank early, withdraw the sum of money owe to the Sheriff, a little spear change for his own pockets, and then made sure that he handed this money to the him - to his friend who had been more than good to him in one way or another, over the past five months.

Upon his return from the bank and picking up some feed for his animals, Abraham intended on calling the dating agency and reporting to them the experience he had with Katharine Chapman, the client who they had provided for him to go out with on a date. Because he seriously thought that she should be stopped or at least, others should be aware of her devious behavior towards the men using the dating service.

But was there something anyone could really do about Katharine Chapman and her scamming and shamming conduct towards those defenseless clients using the dating service?

Or, was it going to take some anonymous force to handle her real good serving on her plate the same evil she had dished out to others with her viciousness and her scheming ways?

Abraham reflected, as his overwork mind had gotten tired, causing him to suddenly fall asleep once again, but only this time, on the large antique sofa chair situated inside his living room.

Just after nine in the morning at the full burst of the sunlight, he woke up from his slumber, hastily made him way to see about the animals in the shed out back. For the most part, they were all doing very good, but their surrounds needed some serious cleaning up so he jumped at it right away. He could definite tell that his mysterious helper hadn't been there, probably for two days, so he began filling their containers with water, hay and also some grains of pebbles.

Feeling exhausted and tired, Abraham made his way back to main house and went straight under the shower to clean off some of the stench from inside the barn that was still lingering on him and his clothing. Two hours already had gone since he came back inside the house, change out of his rags, had taken his shower; and also gotten himself dress and ready for the road.

As he was making his truck parked at the side of the house, there came two of the neighborhood girls gazing at him, and even though he thought they were quite cute, he ignored them and let the past by without acknowledging their stares or their waves.

Had he put an X on anyone who said or shown itself to be a woman?

No, he had not!

Did he find those girls who had just waved their hands at him to be despicable?

He did not!

Presently, he was more at odds with men than women, because of his disgusting and disgraceful experience he had with Katharine Chapman. What she had done to him just couldn't escape from his mental faculties - his memory that easily. And neither would his mental abilities allow him to forget about it either.

Now he was in a limbo where dating was concern, and so he jumped into his old beat up truck and made his way to the bank to make the withdrawals necessary to clear off the debt he owe to his friend.

Standing in the bank-line minding his own damn business and there came someone holding onto his elbow and brushing against him. And after turning his head to look, he noticed that it was a tall gorgeous beauty who had just touch him. Her soft beautiful skin felt wonderful against his body and she was smelt quite marvelous also. A fragrance rich and strong that was compelling him to lean against her body, kissed her, just after saying hello to her!

But Abraham let the sensation of her touch vanished from his mind as quickly as it had entered it. Because as far as he was concern, she could be a bloody man dressed up under all that prettiness, glamor and beauty waiting to ship him off to the mad-house!

So he held his head, straight as an arrow in front of him, and waited for the bank teller to signal for him to come up by the counter and be attended to.

Abraham was called to the counter next, he soon began giving his account details to the bank teller when a group of women enter the bank and joined the line to be severed at the counter. He could clearly hear one after the other said, "Hello Tracy!" as the joined the line behind her.

Upon hearing such, Abraham conclude that she was a female and was now thinking of introducing himself to her when he was done at the counter.

He thought about waiting for her out in the parking lot of the bank so he could inquire from her, her status, possibly name and phone number. And as soon as Abraham was done with the teller and he was done counting his money, he started making his way towards her as he made his way out of the bank. So he stopped for a brief moment in front of her, looked her in the eyes, nodded his head at her and smiled, and she smiled back.

There in the parking lot he waited for her over twenty minutes, and as soon as she exited the doors of the bank, he positioned himself to say hello to her; but his first two attempts to get her attention were ignored. And after he said his hello a little louder the third-time around, she turned around at him and smiled.

"You must have dropped from heaven, you are so beautiful!"

Was Abraham's pick-up line.

"And that's why you want to pick me up in the bank's parking lot?"

She replied humorously causing Abraham to chuckle with laughter.

"You have a good sense of humor, that's lovely!"

Abraham complimented.

"Thank you!"

She responded.

"May I have your name and also your phone number, if you don't mind?"

Abraham asked politely.

"And if I give you my name where am I going to get another and if I give you my phone number, how will I receive my calls?"

She said teasingly.

"So you got me again!"

Abraham said laughingly.

"What is your name and what is your telephone number, if you don't mind telling me?"

Abraham restructured his questions to her.

"My name is Tracy Hepburn, and my phone number I'll give you after you have given me yours!"

The young woman responded.

"My name is Abraham Churchill, and I don't have a cellphone number to give you, however, I'll give you the only number that I have which is my house number."

Abraham informed her.

Soon she was writing down his name and phone number on one of the extra bank-slips she had in her hands while displaying a very playful mood; causing him to feel more attracted to her.

Briefly his mind began wondering and he started envisioning her inside his house in that same playful mood and him loving on her as she let herself lay wildly in his arms.

Now she was done writing and playfully she burst out.

"Okay Buddy, I'll give you a call!"

"I thought you said when I give you my number, you will give me yours?"

Abraham asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"Whenever I give you a ring, you will get it; it will show up on your phone!"

Tracy Hepburn responded, once again in a playful and nonchalant manner.

Her tone of voice in which she said 'Whenever' told Abraham that she would never ever call his phone number, however, he found the courage to convince her to call him, and reassuringly promise him that she would. On his way back to his truck, he began saying a little payer asking the heavenly host to nudge her so she would make that phone call to him.

Hopping into his truck, Abraham drove out of the bank's parking lot tooting his horn at her, and then went about his business buying feeding products for his animals living on his farm and dwelling in the barn.

No longer after pulling up at his yard gate and parking his truck at the side of the house, his heavy-set friend came along, parking his car right behind his truck and then stepped out to share a friendly greeting to him. And just after saying hello, Abraham handed the sheriff the fat white envelope with the eleven-hundred dollars he owed him for the bill at the car rental company. And once again, Abraham expressed to him gratefulness, much appreciation for all his wonderful help.

With his outstanding bill all paid up, Abraham began hauling the bags of feeding for his animal inside the barn, so he could safely stock them up on the shelves for use later on, but sheriff Richard wouldn't let him do it alone and so he too began lifting and carrying the fifty-pounds bags of feeding to the animal shelter.

It was just after lifting the twenty-four bags containing the animal feeds that Abraham began feeding his hunger pain jolting at his empty stomach and realized that his belly needed food right away. He wanted to cook himself something good and healthy, but the moment he was too weak, tired and hungry to take on such a task right now. He needed to rest for a while and catch himself before tackling anything else. And as much as he didn't want to stuff his face with the sheriff's donuts, he was glad to have as his first meal of the day and to fill the gap of hunger that was nagging at his empty stomach.

And just where Abraham sat, stuffing his face with the donuts which he found to be quite tasty, along with the cream cheese and the ice-cold latte, he fell asleep. But little after an hour later, he was wide awake and amaze to find his friend, Sheriff Richards, cleaning all the gung out of his refrigerator, whipping it down with bleach and soapy water, and also had all the stale left-overs packed away in garbage bags.

"You didn't have to do that, you know!"

Abraham exclaimed shamefully.

"I know that I didn't have to but I wanted to so, I did!"

Abraham's friend responded.

"Seriously, I mean it! You don't have to be cleaning out all this mess, you have done too much for me already, so let the rest of it rest for now!"

Abraham commented sternly.

"You don't worry about what I'm doing, just relax and let me help you out!"

Sheriff Richards interjected.

But, Abraham wouldn't relax, and got up from where he was seated and began lifting all the bags with the waste food and bringing them to the city container out on the street. And just as Sheriff Richards was making his last wipe on the refrigerator, Abraham told him to remove his truck because he needed to go by the store and get some food shopping done for his house so he could return to maintaining his healthy and regular diet.

With such being requested of him, Sheriff Richards pulled his pants over his big gut, high-five his friend and went about his business while pulling out a donut from his clove compartment and stuffing it to his mouth.

Thankful that he was now out of his way, Abraham reverse his truck from the side of the house onto the streets, and soon he was making his way to food store to pick up some groceries. But soon the thought of Tracy Hepburn suddenly flash through his mind. He had almost forgotten all about her, and the thought of her jolted back to his memory his intension of calling the dating agency and report to them his dreadful experience he had with one of their client.

Now his mind was flooded with thoughts about the woman who he had met at the bank today and dreams of having her into his life and his journey into the future. The scent of her perfume was now back and lock inside his memory and so he began thinking, how she is definitely the one for him, even though, he hadn't gotten all the full details about her personal life.

Was she single?

Was she already seeing someone?

Where was she originally from and where was she living currently?

Were some of the personal questions, Abraham wanted to find out from her, so he could determine where he stood with here.

And in the quiet and silent spaces of his heart, he desperately hope and pray that she would be available to him as he pushed his food trolley through the narrow aisles of the supermarket.

Upon returning from his food shopping, Abraham unloaded his truck, stacked away all the food products he had purchase from the food store into the pantry down the hallway and refrigerator. Since there weren't much food given to the all livestock in the barn earlier on in the day, he went checking on them and pack their trollies with whatever food that was needed to sustain them throughout the night and also for early in the morning.

With much food available to all the animals, Abraham returned to his house and made another trip under the shower to freshen up himself a bit, when he was done, he returned to relaxing in his large chair in front the television. While seated there he once again began fantasying about Tracy Hepburn, and her sharing a life with him in the near future. And when his mind was overly consumed with the thoughts of her, the scent of her body, and her long beautiful brown hair swaying over her shoulders, he went to his bedroom, and then began releasing himself all over his sheets while constantly uttering out her name with great excitement in his voice.

He wanted to devour her body; lay her down and make love to her!

He wanted to taste her body, feel her smooth skin rubbing against his while he looked her in her fiery red brown eyes and tell her that he adores her!

He wanted to kiss her passionately and smell her sweet childish breath breathing up against his face!

But, it was only his fantasy, because she hadn't even call him as yet, and he wasn't sure if she ever would!

Feeling elated how he had just release himself with the woman of his dreams penetrating his mind, Abraham disappointedly uncover his bedding, then had it redone for rest while he stretched himself out on his back, wondering if she would ever give him that long awaited call.

Two days had passed with no such luck of hearing from the stranger he had met in the bank parking lot and was smitten by her beauty. He thought he should start forgetting about her, especially since he had no contacts of her and neither did he have anyway of obtaining such either. Therefore, he called it a lost, hope that someone just as pretty, would come his way soon and bring him the happiness and stability he was seeking after with what only a woman could give to him.

But Abraham's luck was soon about to change three days after him visiting his bank. His telephone wrong, the person at the other end introduced herself as Tracy Hepburn and then mentioned to him, she was the comical figure who he had met in the bank parking lot few days ago.

He was so overjoyed and excited to hear from her and seconds later, he was searching for pen and paper so he could write down her phone number and remain in contact with her. As soon as he was done writing down her phone number, Abraham began questioning her, like he was conducting a job interview and seeking for the wittiest potential employee for the job.

And so he started asking her one question after the other.

"So Tracy, tell me, where are you presently living?"

"Right now I'm living over at Ducking-field!"

Tracy replied.

"Are you seeing anyone at the moment?"

"No, not really! I recently split from my boyfriend."

She responded in a sad voice.

"Have you ever been married before?"

"Never!"

Tracy answered giggling.

"Where are you originally from?"

"My parents are from India, so that's where I'm originated from; I would say!"

Tracy stated proudly.

"Do you have any children?"

"None whatsoever!"

She spoke unenthused.

"So when it's a good time for you and me to go out on a date?"

"I really can't say now, but if I should guess, I would say on one of those weekends when I'm off from work!"

Tracy answered with an air of uncertainty in her voice.

None of his questions were wooing her, encouraging her to become love-struck or even become a little infatuated by him... he was just dashing the questions at her like a drill sergeant!

However, talking with Tracy Hepburn, Abraham began building a little more stamina in his confidence once again concerning women and making that move of being out on a date with them. Since he couldn't completely forget all about the malicious deeds the heart-twisting transvestite had done to him.

He still hadn't come up with the courage to call the dating agency, make a report to them about how she had betrayed him; held him hostage in her apartment for over four hours. And then she still had the nerves to falsified information about her, telling the police and paramedics that he was a lunatic, causing them to hold him in the mental institution for the past three months and seven days.

But he had not called the dating agency because he was still filled with embarrassment; consumed with shameful thoughts of himself and what she had done to him inside her apartment. At the moment he just did not want to repeat any of such happenings from his lips because simply talking about it, just reopen the wounds and caused the festering pain to be felt even deeper and harsher in his soul.

He was still dumbfounded about the whole entire fiasco which had occurred to him on that fateful Friday night, when he took, what he thought was a very beautiful, well-spoken and honest woman out on date; just wanting to know her better so he could start thinking about creating a life with her. Instead, found himself in the crazy-den because of her evil trickeries. But he still had every intention of letting the dating agency know that he had been duked by her, and he would like to have a refund of a portion of the money he had submitted to the agency for setting him up with what was supposed to be a wonderful date.

Nevertheless, with Tracy Hepburn presently tickling Abraham's fancy and fantasy, he was feeling quite optimistic that everything will work out well, between the both of them. And now he and she were planning to have their very first date on the weekend.
