Chapter 9

The ride home from the dating agency was quite very intense for Abraham Churchill who has been looking for real love in his life and someone to share his life and his future with for a very long time. Although he had encountered few heartaches in his life, he still remained optimistic that he would find that special someone who would bring sunshine in his life and made his heart pound faster whenever he would lay his eyes on her.

Now his eyes were set on the dating agency receptionist, Ms. Baily, whom he had just met even though he had spoken to her on the phone numerous times. And right through his journey home, his mind was set on her, now he started seeing her as the one he wanted to be in his life. Even though, it was one of the policies of the dating agency was for her and other staff members not to get involve with any of the clients using their services.

But he was very flattered by her and something in his heart, mind and soul and made him want to see more of her; and he had no intensions of allowing her to slip through any of his fingers after being engulfed by these feelings about her.

She had a beautiful smile, shiny brown eyes, a very curvy shape that any real man would kill for; and also a quite pleasant and friendly personality that made anyone wanted to be around her.

And as Abraham pulled up at the side of his house, he concluded that those qualities inhabited by Shirley Baily, were the same ones that had led the dating agency to have employed her.

It was just a little after six o'clock when he entered the house and decided, he was going to relax in front of the television for a while before cleansing himself and going to bed. But soon he was disturb by the ringing of the house phone and went to answer it.

"Hello, this is Abraham Churchill, may I help you?"

Abraham asked sternly.

"Hello Abraham, how are you doing?"

"I'm doing alright!"

Abraham responded in a more casual tone of voice.

"My name is Mitchell Farina, and I was given your number by the dating agency for me to call you, so we could meet and possible get to know each other. I get to understand that you are looking for a serious or long term relationship, and so am I!"

Mitchell Farina explained.

"Yes I am... yes I am, but...!"

Abraham spoke without being able to complete his sentence as thoughts of Shirley Baily flashed through his mind.

Pausing for moment to reflect upon Shirley Baily and if she would possible have him as her man, or her future husband, but filled with uncertainty if she would, he asked.

"So when can you and I meet?"

"Whatever time is good for you!"

Mitchell replied.

"Tomorrow is Sunday; is it that a good day for you or, is it your day of worshiping, and you have to make your rounds at one or more of the churches in the entire state?"

Abraham asked jokingly.

"Not really! I do visit the churches on Sunday sometimes, but I'm not design for churches every single Sunday; so we can go out and see, if we really like each other!"

Mitchell replied from a practical stand point.

He liked that she was being practical and upfront about the entire dating situation, because at least he knew now that she wasn't one set to play with his mind or dangle with his emotions. So they both decided on having their first date on Sunday which would be the following day after their initial phone conversation.

Since he was the one always choosing some fancy restaurant only to be disappointed, Abraham asked Mitchell to choose where she would like for them to meet on their date, and she had surprisingly chosen somewhere he had least expected.

"We could go the park, especially since the forecast predicted that it was going to be a very lovely day tomorrow! But you have to bring me something that you love eating and drinking. And I in return will do the same bring you something that I would like to share with you, that I like eating and drinking!"

Mitchell mentioned.

"This is different! I really like this idea!"

Abraham spoke enthusiastically.

But in the back of Abraham's mind, he thought something dreadful would have happened allowing the both of them to be in a squabble, breaking off their date, and eventually leading him back to focusing on Shirley Baily.

Searching his mind trying to recall the things he really enjoy eating Abraham told her there were many things that he really liked eating and one of those things were, corn beef sandwiches, mixed with sweet peppers and onions. Therefore, that was what he was going to make for her.

"Hmmm!!! I already can smell the aroma of freshly diced onions mixed in with sweet peppers and probably some ice-cold soda to wash that down! I'm really looking forward to having one or more of those sandwiches!"

Mitchell spoke teasingly.

"So what are you bringing at the park for me to have?"

Abraham asked laughingly.

"There is no way I'm telling you that... it's going to be a fantastic surprise; I promise!"

Mitchell responded with sweet chuckling echoing in his ear.

"Well I'm going to trust that you don't bring me anything to eat that I'm not able to swallow!"

Abraham said mockingly.

"I promise you, I'll do my very best that whatever I bring to the park will let you want more and more! And if it turns out that you don't like it, then you can eat your sandwiches! That's why I told you to bring something that you like very much! So if we are not fond of what we have brought for each other to the outing, then at least, we both have something in front of us that we both like enjoying!"

Mitchell explained.

"You are not only pretty, you are also very smart as well!"

Abraham mentioned with much enticement.

"Thank you, for thinking that about me! It was something I learnt from my father when I was growing up! It's nice if you like whatever I have brought to your table, but just in case you don't, you still have something of your own you can appreciate in front of you!"

Mitchell expressed with a vivid reflection of her childhood.

"I really thank you for sharing this with me! I must certainly try and keep it in the back of my mind. I honestly thank you for explaining this to me!"

Abraham spoke impressively.

"You are so very welcome, Mr. Churchill!"

Mitchell responded with much chuckle.

Trying to remove the seriousness of his tone from the conversation.

"So where are you living? If you don't mind me asking!"

Not quite sure if she would turn out to be a complete psycho and start anything crazy in his life or his community, Abraham became very hesitant about truthfully giving her full details of where he was exactly dwelling at the moment.

"I'm living on the western side of the Valley Creek!"

He responded when in actually he was living on the south side of Valley Creek.

"Do you know where that is?"

He went on to ask her.

"Sort of!"

She replied.

"I know I've seen the sign Valley Creek several times driving on the highway but I've never completely stop in the neighborhood or have any reasons to be there!"

Mitchell went on to explain.

"And you, where are you living?"

Abraham asked in return.

"I'm living in a little town called Hampton-Courts, going southeast of Georgia."

Mitchell replied.

"Do you know of it?"

Mitchell inquired.

"Actually I do! I did some work for one of the residence living there a while back!"

Abraham replied.

"Ho really! Where?"

Mitchell asked.

"I'm don't recall the exact address right now, but I do recall it was just a little way after crossing over the bridge Silverstone Bridge!"

Abraham explained, as he dig into his mind to visualize the place where he had dropped off the piece of furniture.

Mitchell had a clear idea of where he was talking because she wasn't living too far away from where the Silverstone Bridge was situated. However, just like him, she had no clue of what the outcome of their relationship would be like and if he was the kind who would be obsessive with her and be a stalker if she had rejected him.

Therefore, she told him, she was living at the opposite side of the Hampton-Courts Bridge while she was actually living on that same stretch of road as where the bridge was located in her community.

Curious, he had mentioned about doing some work for someone in the same vicinity as where she was living, Mitchell asked.

"What kind of work are you into?"

"I pretty much work for myself!"

"I run a small farm, but a farm nonetheless, and I also make and repair furniture! And I also do some metal work!"

Abraham explained.

"Okay, that is wonderful!"

Mitchell responded.

Not waiting for him to ask where she was working, Mitchell went on to reveal.

"I'm working at the rehab center over by Mount Kimble, doing the coordinating for the medical staff there and assisting with some occupational therapy there as well!"

"You are doing pretty well for yourself!"

Abraham remarked.

"Well, it pays the bills and put food on the table; plus I like what I do for a living!"

Mitchell responded earnestly.

"I'm very glad to know you are helping other persons in their times of need and you enjoy doing your job, because not many persons can really say such about themselves!"

Abraham stated pleasantly.

Hearing these information about her, Abraham concluded that she wasn't the crazy type to carry on with some bizarre scenarios at his doorsteps or on the streets, so he considered giving her a chance to be in a relationship with him and that's if, Shirley Baily refrain from going out on a date with him or being in his life permanently.

With that conclusion, Abraham reminded Mitchell, it was getting late and that they had a date tomorrow afternoon so they needed to start preparing the meals they planned on bringing with them, and also get some rest for the occasion. And with that spoken reminder, Mitchell told Abraham goodnight and that she was looking forward to seeing him at the park Sunday and she was also looking forward to chowing down into his corn beef sandwiches.

"You can count on me to be there with my sandwiches and I hope you will enjoy them!"

Abraham spoke, before saying goodnight and good-bye to her, and then resting the phone on the receiver.

Now that plans were in place for him to be on the date with Mitchell Farina, Abraham put his shoes back on his feet, rush to his truck and back on the streets. He needed to get to the food store before they were closed so he could purchase the items he needed to make his corn beef sandwiches and to also purchase some drinks for his date with Mitchell which was on the following day.

There was no time to waste and little over an hour later he was back at his house and began dicing onions and chopping up peppers to in the mixture of his corn beef sandwiches. But during making the mixture for his corn beef sandwiches Abraham mind was thinking about Shirley Baily and hoping that she was the one he was going to be on a date with instead of Mitchell Farina. One of the female who had signed up with the dating agency hoping to find her mister right there.

Just after making his sandwiches and wrapping them in cellophane paper, putting them in large zip lock bags and then placing them in the refrigerator, along with the large bottle of fruit punches and the two bottles of two liter Pepsi he had bought for the trip at the park.

Feeling satisfied with that accomplishment, Abraham went for the shower to wash away the scent of spices from his body, knowing that there was no way he could ever go to sleep with all that stench on his body. And just after ten-thirty in the night, he fluffed her pillows, placed his head on it and went straight to sleep with Shirley Baily and not Mitchell Farina, still on his mind.

It was a long and peaceful rest and in his moment of very deep sleep, Abraham dreamt of being on a date with Shirley and even making love to her! The subconscious moment felt so utter real and good to him that he was actually aroused with a very stiff cock, spew all his little ones on the sheets and had his bed soaking wet!

He was now awaken almost six and a half hours later, drench in his own sperm and uttering.

"Shirley, look what you have done to me!"

While raising himself from the edge of the bed and making his way to the bathroom to clean away the nightly pleasures that had gotten him soaking and creamy wet!

Making an effort to remove the messy bed sheets and placed them in the washed, Abraham heard a banging on his front door and when he opened it, it was one of the neighbors who had accused him of being gay standing in front of his door.

The reminder of them ambushing Roxanna and wanting to hurt her that morning after she had slept by his house overnight flashed into his mind and he angrily asked.

"What the hell do you want?"

"I just want to apologize for what happen a couple months back with you and everyone!"

The young man spoke.

"Isn't it too late for that now?"

Abraham asked vexingly.

Still standing there staring at him without any response, Abraham asked again; trying hard to hold his tongue from using any serious explicit languages!

"What do you really want... what are you bloody doing here?"

Nervously the young man spoke from an honest place.

"I'm in a working project at the college and I'm wondering if I can borrow one of your wood saw because mine is broken and my mom, can't afford to replace it at the moment."

The young man revealed with twisting hands and guilty conscience.

"No, I'm not lending my tools to any of you around here! What if I lend it to you and you broke or come back and tell me, you are unable to find it? What should I do then? How do I know, you are not here to fuck me head or to cause trouble?"

Abraham lashed out angrily.

"You can ask my Mom, she can vogue that I'm telling you the truth!"

The young man expressed.

"Okay then, I'll come by your house, speak to your mother about it and hear what she has to say about what you're asking me!"

Abraham spoke angrily with much aggression written all over and in is his body language.

Soon, he was flashing his right hand backwards directing the young man to get off his front porch and return home to his parent. With the young man making his way off his front steps and through his gate, Abraham slammed his front door shut and returned to putting his soil sheets into the wash. Feeling that touch of hostility that had befallen him couple months ago, he angrily began mumbling about the names they had called and how he could have lost his life by the hands of his own neighbors, because of something he wasn't guilty of.

With the sheets on the clothing line awaiting to be dried, Abraham hurryingly pulled on a t-shirt over his head, dragged on a pair of slippers on his feet and then made his way across the streets and then down the road to his neighbor's house. Because he anxiously wanted to speak with the mother of this young man who had just shown up on his doorsteps bright and early in the morning, asking to borrow one of his working tools.

It was a family that he knew very well but since the false accusation has been spreading about him throughout the neighborhood, they both had stopped exchanging hellos and howdy dos; because they too believed the story to be true!

Angrily wrapping on the front door of Ms. Johanna's house, she opened it and without saying a word, she reached out and hugged him as tears began dwindling down her fleshy cheeks!

Releasing from their embrace and his hands between hers, she asked with a worryingly look on her face.

"Abraham, how are you doing?"

"It's a long time since we have spoken... say hello or anything!"

Ms. Johanna spoke sadly as she rubbed Abraham's hand between hers.

"I'm doing just great!"

He replied briskly.

"And you, how are you doing?"

Abraham asked in returned.

"I'm doing alright, but my son really needs your help!

Ms. Johanna unveiled.

"Yes, he told me about the saw, but are you in a position to replace it, if something should happens to it at his school?"

Abraham asked bluntly.

"He only needs it for one week... only one week!"

Ms. Johanna responded.

"Ms. Johanna, I didn't ask you how long he needed it for! What I ask you was how you intend on paying me for it if something should ever happen to it at his school?"

Releasing her hands from between his, Ms. Johanna placed them at her cheeks and shook her head as she replied.

"To be honest with you, I really don't know how I would ever pay you back for that saw Abraham, but I'm pleading with you Sir, to please lend it to my son for me, because he needs it for his end of term exams at the collage!"

Ms. Johanna pleaded.

Reflecting on all that they in the community had put him through, Abraham bluntly told her, he wasn't going to lend her son his brand new saw, however, there is an old saw that he has that needs some oiling, he could let him have it for his exams at the school. But he or she would have to buy the oil needed to have it loosen between the chains and the engine and used it for the exams, however, when he was done using it for his examinations, it should be returned to him at his front door.

Soon Johanna was calling her son Joey to the front porch and have Abraham revealed to him what he had just told her. And again, Abraham explained himself and even gave more details of why he wanted the old saw back; because if anything should happen to the new one, then he could easily use parts from the old one to get it working again.

With that act of generosity extended, Abraham bid farewell to Ms. Johanna while Joey hastily followed behind him to pick up the saw, have it greased by the hardware store and then bring it to his school to partake in his woodwork examinations.

Minutes later, they were at the house in the shed moving away old pieces of furniture, pieces of upholstering materials and pieces of woods he had bought and had them stock up there for later use so he could eventually get to the old saw machine. And when Abraham finally found it, he handed it to Joey and reminded him once more to remember its address whenever he was done with it; because he simply did not want another altercation with any of them in the neighborhood.

Very grateful to have the usage of the woodwork machine, Joey thanked Abraham for lending it to him and nodding promising the lender that he would certainly return the saw to him as soon as the examines at his college was over and done with.

Looking into his eyes Abraham announce once more for him to take care of him and he would see as soon as the exams were done. And just as Joey was about to walk away, return to his house, Abraham looked at the pile of stuff they both had just remove from their positions. And so Abraham called him, motioning him to help him replaced them as they were before. And soon after they were done doing so, Abraham closed back up his working shed and return to the inside of the house where he began getting himself ready for his date with Mitchell Farina.

Not having a nice picnic basket to place the corn beef sandwiches into, Abraham stuffed them into one of the shopping bags he had brought from the store on one of his shopping trips. And minutes later he was going through the front door, into his pickup truck and excitingly making his way to the Constant Spring Garden Park to meet Mitchell Farina for their very first date.

Reaching at the park, he saw her!

He could tell that it was her from the color of her hair!

She was kneeling on the grass, spreading out her large red blanket for the moment they had planned together.

She was looking good from behind and seeing her in that position immediately excited him!

Parking his vehicle he walked over to her and called her by her name!

"Hello, Mitchell, I'm Abraham! How are you doing?"

Abraham asked as he stretched his hand to greet her.

Smiling she stated.

"I'm doing fine!"

But instead of extending her hand to touch his, she threw herself at him and hugged him instead.

Now her voluptuous breast were rubbing against his chest and he began feeling very excited being near here!

Freeing her grip from around his shoulders she invited him to sit on her blanket while his eyes travelled to her breast and made him want to see more of her... want to see her naked.

"Gosh!!!"

"You are beautiful!"

Abraham exclaimed as his eyes moved up and down site-seeing on the cleavages of her body.

"You are pretty fine looking yourself!"

She complimented.

"I try my best to look my best!"

Abraham replied laughingly.

"And you are doing, very well at it!"

Mitchell responded.

"Thank you! It means a lot coming from someone as gorgeous as you are!"

Abraham ricocheted back at her.

She wasn't hiding ounce of gorgeousness about her and so she recoiled.

"I'm glad that you find me to be that way, and I hope couple months or couple years down the road, you'll be whispering these very same words in my ears!"

"Of course I will, if you look like this, after having my babies!"

Abraham spoke teasingly.

"Well I'll make every effort to look like this, after I'm done pushing out Junior and Melody Churchill!"

Mitchell spoke jokingly.

From the little time he had seen her and spent with her, he found her to be quite amusing and much fun to be around her and so he wanted to know much more about her. Without any delay, she told him all that he needed and wanted to know about her, and now it seems like she was taking first place of Shirley Baily.

And soon after their first hour of dialogue on a thick red blanket, Abraham reached into his back and pulled out one of the bags of sandwiches, he had brought for her and handed it over to her.

Smilingly, she took it from his hands and pulled the bag apart and bite into one of the corn beef sandwiches and then game him a thumbs up, indicating that it was very good!

"I'm glad you liked it!"

He announced, before leaning over towards her and softly kissing her on her cheeks.

"Sorry, I probably shouldn't have done that but I just couldn't resist from kissing you!"

Abraham began apologizing.

Gazing into his eyes with a blazing stare, she leaned over to him and said.

"This is what we are here for; to find out if we really like each other and if what we fell for each other actually make any sense!"

Uttering those words, she leaned over and kissed him back.

She then went into her picnic basket, began pulling out tiny rolls of what appears to be boneless chicken stuffed with vegetables and breadcrumbs and soon she began feeding them to him while asking him smilingly.

"Do you like it?"

"Do I like... I love it!"

Abraham exclaimed.

"Where on earth did you learn to cook like this?"

He asked while gaping more and more of the tiny chicken rolls that were well spiced and quite juicy and very tasty.

"Well we women pick things up along the way, especially in the areas where food, fashion and facial products are concern!"

She spoke laughingly.

"Mitchell you are such a delight!"

Abraham spoke looking into her brown eyes and smiling at her.

"And you are such a delightful treat Mr. Churchill!"

Mitchell rebounded. And seconds later, she was leaning against his chest with his hands wrapped around her curvy waist.

For hours, they sat there, on her red blanket at the Constant Spring Garden Park, chatting away, mooching at each other's lips and munching on whatever food they had brought there to share with each other. At the very end of their lovely date, they both concluded that they both had a very wonderful time and would like to do this again and again; and Abraham felt confident that she was the right woman for him.

She was smart, witty, funny and kind and there was noting that he would have changed about her if he could. But Abraham questioned himself if Shirley Baily could do any better than this and was he going too fast with Mitchell Farina.

He just couldn't get it out of his mind the way Shirley Baily had made him feel, the day he had gone by the dating agency and seen her there behind the desk. It was a feeling of magic and he wanted to relive it over and over again with her. But right now, Mitchell was giving him something different and he was enjoying every moment of it.

Before leaving the park, he helped her folded her blanket and back away whatever she was taking back home with her, and whatever they hadn't fully consumed they threw out to the stray animals and birds lingering around the park.

Abraham then walked her to her brand new vehicle, and in that moment, Mitchell told him that she wanted to know where he was living and would follow behind him on their way from the park to his house.

How could he say now to her?

Furthermore, he told himself that he didn't have anything hiding so there weren't much reason now for him to hide anything from her. So he invited her to come along to see where he was living and when she had gotten there she loved every moment of it.

"It's quite nice over here... quite peaceful and spacious, lot of land!"

She stated to him.

"Yes, I like it here too!"

Abraham replied.

"This land has been in my family for ages, and now it's all up to me to make sure that it remain preserve and handed down to my children whenever they come along!"

Abraham spoke sternly.

"That's interesting to hear!"

Mitchell expressed.

Minutes later he was opening the front door to his house and inviting her to have a seat while he went and attended to the animals in the barn.

"Please, make yourself at home!"

Abraham told her, while he threw on his overalls and headed on out through the backdoor to attend to the live stocks in the hangar. He was in the barn for the next forty-five minutes feeding and pouring water for the animals and when he returned, he was shock to see a leg leaning up against his couch!

It was a prosthetic leg with a shoes and stockings attached to it!

Abraham almost had a heart attack seeing the prosthetic leg there leaning up against his leaving room chair!

He had to quickly lean himself against the refrigerator just to prevent himself from collapsing onto the floors!

Soon he began screaming!

"Mitchell!!! Mitchell!! Mitchell where are you?"

He shouted repeatedly.

"I'm in the shower, would you like to come and join me!"

She responded flirtatiously.

For a very good five minutes, he just stood there, afraid to speak, shimmering in silence as he stared at the large pale foot leaned up against the edge of the large living room couch!

"What in the world is this?"

He asked himself.

He began thinking that she probably was playing a prank on him!

The he finally spoke and he stood there, just to see her exiting from the bathroom!

Few minutes later, she came out with a towel wrapped across her breast and her hair slid back showing her to be even more beautiful without any make-up on her face.

But Abraham was afraid to look down at her feet but he knew that he had to see for himself that she only had one foot!

She was now standing in the corridor and needed to reach to the chair where the prosthetic leg was leaning against the chair and so she began hopping around on one foot to get there giving him no other choice, but to look down and see that she only had one leg!

Shocked, speechless and shaken-up were his emotions and all he could do was just stand there and watch her as she secretly try teasing him as she refolded the towel over her breast time and time again.

"Why didn't you tell me about your leg being missing?"

Abraham finally spoke with bulging eyes as the shock of seeing such a site for the very first time still penetrated his mind, had his entire countenance numbed and had him gasping for air as he asked the question.

"Cancer of the bone, so the doctors had to chop it off!"

She spoke casually.

"Sorry if I hadn't told you about before, but to be honest with you, sometimes I don't even remember that it's missing until moments like these when I have to get in the shower or get myself dress!"

Mitchell went on to explain.

"Is it a problem... dose this means that you don't want to date me anymore?"

Mitchell firmly asked.

"I have never dated a person with one leg before!"

Abraham spoke with a sound of hesitancy in his voice.

"You don't have to worry about the leg being missing because I do everything for myself; I drive, I do my job well, I swim, I dance and do everything that persons with both their legs can do and even more!"

Mitchell explained.

"I can definitely see that about you!"

Abraham responded.

She could absolutely tell, he wasn't so comfortable with seeing her prosthetic leg leaning against his furniture, and so she told him that she would be leaving his humble abode, as soon as she was done getting dress. And as soon as she was done doing so, and attaching the false leg to the stump on her body, she stood up, faced him and then proudly stated to him.

"It was very nice meeting you Abraham! And if you change your mind about us being together, please give me a call! Because I really like you and would love to know you much better than this!"

And with those words, she walk towards his front door of his house while he confusingly followed behind her, and kept on apologizing for his actions towards her. Because he was just too taken aback by this suddenness of her prosthetic leg leaning against his furniture. While she made her way down the front-steps of his house, into her shiny ford explorer vehicle and began tooting the horn, as she drove away from the scene of Abraham's little farm house.

Still standing there on his front porch, he lifted his hand and began waving good-bye to her, as he wondered, if he should ever call her again!
