Chapter 2

After walking for a few minutes we arrived at the park.
" let's sit over there, sweetie. " I said to Ruby as I walk to a nearby bench.
**cute baby sound** " yes, yes ." I said with a slight chuckles
" Are you sure she's adopted, cuz you two don't seem like you guys just met this morning. " Anna asks in a suspicious tone."
" Of course, I mean I'm still….you know... " I said
" Right, you're still a vir- " I stop her before she could finish that word " don't you dare finish that word. "
" Anyway back to the topic, I've been wondering about that too. " I pause look at Ruby and continue " she seems to be calm, and I haven't heard her cry again after I pick her up. Instead, she seems .... how should I put this. "

"very positive."
"Yeah, that's right. Ruby seems very positive. it's like she's happy when I'm with her all the time. When I play with her, she plays and laughs with me. When I work she didn't bother me, When she hungry or need poop and pee, she would make some sound to let me know, but she didn't cry. "
" I can see that. " Anna said "well, that's a good thing, right. so how are your preparations? "
'???' " prepare for what? "
"for taking care of Ruby."
" Oh... I prepare a little bit, like her diaper, her baby bottle, and her baby formula.... etc. " I said as I look at Ruby with a gentle smile on my face " And I plan on asking my parents for some advice, you know they have more exp in this. "
"oh, that's a good idea." she says " wait, have you tell your parents about Ruby yet? "
"ah right, I haven't told them yet. Maybe I'll tell them tomorrow. And I need to buy some clothes for Ruby too, might as well do everything tomorrow."

After a bit of silence. Anna asks me with a relaxed tone " So, being a father for the first time, huh. how do you feel? "

" you shouldn't make her laugh too much. I heard that if a baby laughs too in the day, they'll at night."
" Ok, but I can't help it. she's too cute. " I said in a doting tone.
" I get what you mean. " Anna said with a chuckle.
we relax and play with Ruby for a while and decided to head home.
when we get home Ruby got hungry so I go make her formula and feed her.
After I'm done feeding her, I get Ruby to take a bath.
" Alright, it's bath time!! " when Ruby hears that she became very excited and shaking around.
**chuckles**" oh, look who's excited to take a bath. " I said as I prepare the water.
When it's ready I took Ruby into the tub and begin washing her. Ruby thrashing around playfully. She seems very exciting when she plays with the water.
" You really like water, huh. "I said as I look at Ruby playing.
After 15 minutes or so I finish bathing Ruby then dress her up and go to the living room to watch some TV.
We watched TV until 8:00 PM. Ruby look sleepy, so I decided it's time for Ruby to go to bed.
" come on sweetie, it's time for bed. " I said as I took her to bed. I search for bedtimes stories on the internet and decide on 'snow white and the seven dwarfs'
" Let papa read you a bedtime story 'snow white and the seven dwarfs' ."
" Once upon a time, a princess named Snow White lived in a castle with her father, the King, and her stepmother, the Queen."
"Her father had always said to his daughter that she must be fair to everyone at court. Said he, 'People come here to the castle when they have a problem. They need the ruler to make a fair decision. Nothing is more important than to be fair.' "
"The Queen, Snow White's stepmother, knew how much this meant to her husband. At the first chance, she went to her magic mirror. 'Mirror, mirror, on the wall," said the Queen. "Who is the fairest of them all?' "
" 'What?!' yelled the Queen. 'No one is fairer than I! The Queen must have the best of everything - everyone knows that. What could be fairer than that?' "
" 'Snow White is the fairest of them all!' repeated the Magic Mirror."
" 'What do you know – you're a mirror!' roared the Queen. And she stormed off. "
"Still, the Queen was bothered. So bothered was she that the Queen decided to be rid of the girl, once and for all."
" 'I cannot wait another day!' she declared. The Queen called for her servant, a huntsman. 'Find a reason to take Snow White deep into the woods,' she said, pointing her long finger at the servant. 'Then kill her.' "
" The huntsman was shocked! But she was the Queen and what could he do? The next day he took Snow White into the woods. As he drew his knife to slay her, Snow White turned around."
As I read until here Ruby was Already sound asleep. I look at her with a gentle gaze and whisper with a smile.
" We'll continue the story tomorrow than. " I said as I leaned in to kiss her forehead and whisper gently " Good night and sweet dream my sweet little angle. "
