I step out onto the snow, it crunches softly under my feet, the sun shines overhead, and I embrace the warmth on my face, snow lazily drifts down from the endless blue sky, some clouds drifting here and there. I look around and decide to walk left down the sidewalk. I continue walking till I reach a park, there are a few different species there with their kids from semi human arctic fox's to werewolves. 'Interesting, so it's not just beast men and women but demi humans as well.' Beast men lean more towards the more beast side of the spectrum like tabaxis while demi humans are more towards the human side like cat girls.
I walk towards the playground and see that the snow is a lot deeper here, so deep in fact you can burrow through it. I look over to see a demi human arctic fox pop out of the snow in front of it's mother, scaring her and then they both start laughing. I smile inwardly at them, enjoying the nice atmosphere here.
I see a few kids and people glance at me, and some even wave, but none talk to me. I continue to walk till I'm out of the park and I take a left into a very lively part of town. People are chatting, some are shopping in tents and booth and stores. 'If it's this lively in the winter, I can't imagine during the summer.' I continue walking till I see something that catches my eye, I see a store with a sign hung outside of it, it has a symbol of a sword and mace hitting a shield. I look at it to see a glass display with a few swords, shields, maces, axes, in all different forms.
'I came here for a reason and that reason was to see if weapons I make rival others.' I walk into an alleyway and use shadow manipulation to create a small dagger. It takes a few tries but it eventually comes out as how I imagined. It has small wisps of black coming off of the tip. I take it and shove it into the black pocket and zip it up. 'This is getting easier, creating weapons. But I'm still surprised that me being a mechanic in my past life gives me the ability to design weapons. I would be better off designing a car. But why can I design weapons?'
I think as I walk in, the door creaks and a bell is rung as I enter. "Hello there kid, what you doing here?" I look over to see a female orc in her twenties, with black hair and brown eyes, her face looks smooth yet has a strong jawline. She leans on the counter, smiling.
I look at her and smile back. "I'm just looking at the weapons." She stifles a laugh, "Sorry kid, none of the weapons here can be sold to you if your under the age of 15." 'Another aspiring adventurer.' She thinks to herself. I browse the weapons for a while. Some have runes glowing on them, many have a magical aura, and others are just plain weapons but none of the weapons are under 10 gold. I eventually walk over and set the box down silently and she looks at me with a strange look.
"I actually came to get a weapon looked at." She raises an eyebrow, "Oh really now?" I ignore her remark and open up the zipper and pull out the dagger quickly before zipping it back up. I hand her the dagger and ask, "So what do you think?" She gently grabs the dagger and starts swinging it around behind the counter, her movements fluid, the smoke leaving trails behind it. 'She is good with a dagger.'
She looks at me suspiciously after wielding the dagger. "Kid, where did you get a weapon like this?"
I look at her, and I scratch the back of my head sheepishly, "I found it in an old house that I was exploring in." 'I hope that works as a cover story.'
She looks at me for a bit longer before looking away. "This dagger is the first one I have ever seen of it's kind before, I'll buy this dagger off of you kid, six gold."
'That was quick.' I think to myself while in reality, I just nod. "Alright." She pulls out six gold and hands it to me. Along with a little leather bag. "That's for you to hold your money, take it as an extra thank you for the dagger."
I take out the rest of my money and put it all in my new bag. 'I currently have 8 gold and 5 silver. I could make this into a business if all else goes down hill. Anyway I need to figure out the worth of these if I'm to live in this world.' I smile at her and put the box back on and start to walk out the door. "Wait." I look over to see her looking at the box on my back.
"What is that?" I look at her and then at the box and realize I made a large mistake. I zipped the zipper, just not the whole way, so now part of the scythe's handle is sticking out. I quickly take the box off and zip up the zipper the whole way after shoving the scythe back in. I look at her, then at my watch, "Shoot! I'm late for my cleaning job! This is my cleaning equipment by the way." I say while I point at the box on my back and bolt out the door. "Have a good day!" I yell out before the door shuts. "You...too." She says squinting. "But I could of sworn that was a weapon hilt. And I meant the slime." She whispers.
Meanwhile, I'm jogging down the street, and I see a store that has a sign that has fruits, vegetables, and meats on it. I walk in to see another female behind the checkout counter while a male restocks the bins. I walk over to what I assume to be apples and grab two, I then walk over to the lady behind the counter, "Can I buy two of these?" She looks at me and crosses her arms, looking me up and down.
"Your a new face. How has your day been young man?"
'Flattering.' I think to myself while I answer aloud. "Pretty good."
"Okay, these apples will be two silver." I pull out the bag and hand her the two silver, which she puts in a bag on the other side of the counter.
I wave at her and leave as she says, "Have a good day!"
I then look around for a bookstore. 'Need something more interesting to read than textbooks and theories all day.' After searching for a while and asking some people, I find a blue tent, I enter to see all types of items strewn against the walls from swords to eggs and a kobald in it reading a book. "My, my, someone new has entered my shop. "Hello there, what can I help you with?" He says as he stands upright again. "Hi, I was wondering if you had any books?" I ask him, he looks back at me. "Books..books...books." He says while looking around behind his desk.
He eventually pulls out a few books. I look at them and see that one is about magic creatures, one is about magic circles, and the other is about fighting with different weapons. "How much for them?" I ask, he looks at me, a sparkle in his eye, "They are usually 6 gold total but I'll give them to ya for 3 gold." I immediately take the gold out and hand it to him in which, he stuffs it into his pocket soundlessly. I walk around the tent and look at a few of the other items till I get to the eggs. "What are these?" I ask with curiosity. "Those are creature eggs, each one is two gold each."
I look over at him, "Do you know what type of creature will come out of them?"
He shakes his head, "Your guess is as good as mine." I look back at the eggs, "Do you mind if I pick one up?" He shakes his head,
"No I do not, but you break it you by it." I look over the three eggs, one has emerald colors with blue lines on it, one has what appears to be red and blue droplets staining it, and the last one is white with gold symbols on it.
'Which one?'
