Subjugation Part One

Mother and I set off on our quest, I was currently on Mothers back while she was flying as we searched for a place to land.

Although I had been practicing flying in the past month, I could still only hover over the ground for a minute or two. Though Mother tells me that when I finally evolve into an adult, my wings should finally be able to carry me and I should be able to fly not long after that with a little practice.

Fufufu looking at Mother, I am sure I will be massive powerful dragon with a gorgeous and mature human form like her kukuku… My thinking seems to have changed a bit since I have been reborn… Anyway, I am sure I shall be a being that all shall envy!

I took a look at my status board…

Thanks to my month of fighting the rather high-level ant monsters, I had boosted my stats and level really quickly. Being a powerful race from the get-go helps, but I was rather proud of my efforts.

It was tough getting past the combinations of different types that were fighting me together in the latter parts of my training. But I got through it and now I am quite close to being able to evolve past my baby form.

"Okayyyyy, there is the mountain that they have burrowed into and made their nest in, can you see the entrance they have made?"

As Mother said there was an entrance way built into the mountain side. It was rather large, I guess it was because some in their colony are as big as three storey buildings.

Outside of the entrance way you could see the ant monsters scurrying around. There were some Giant Ants and Warrior Ants patrolling the area and guarding the entrance to the nest.

There were a lot of them. A lot more than I have faced before, but that thought just excited me more.

"Although you may be excited at the thought of fighting an incredible number of enemies at once, it might be to soon to take on this many at once for you. But we shall discuss more about what we are going to do when we set down."

I was slightly disappointed when Mother said that, but I suppose she is a lot more experienced in that respect.

"Very well Mother, I suppose your age and wisdom will help us judge how to approach this then."

"Fufufu… my age huh? What have I told you about being sensitive when it comes to women's age my dear Alicia? I suppose you can make up for it with extra mother and daughter bonding time later… huhu…"

It was a strange sight, seeing a large, fierce looking, Dragon get lost in strange delusions. Though this was my Mother so I was a lot less surprised then an outsider would be.

"F-fine I am sorry Mother, but you need to stop drooling and getting distracted! We are in the middle of something important!"

"Hehe right, right. Okay let's set down on that ledge over there."

Mother flies over to a nearby ledge that lets us overlook the entrance to the nest. Once she lands, I hop off of her back and she transforms into her humanoid form.

"Okayyyy the strategy is simple; I kill a bunch of the ones stood outside the entrance and patrolling the forest areas. Then you mop up the remainders of the ones outside and head inside, then defeat everything inside. Big complicated strategies aren't really my style hehe"

She said seeming maybe slightly conscious that her plan seemed a bit to straightforward.

"I think it's a great plan Mother! Planning and stuff is boring anyway…"

"Uuuuuuu you truly are my child Alicia! Grandmother used always complain at me saying I needed to plan my battles more, but trust my adorable Alicia to truly understand me!" Mother picked me up and hugged me.

Mothers slight unease instantly vanished when she heard that I agreed with her. I mean planning isn't really a strong point for me either, I actually thought her plan was perfect for me… but it was nice to see Mother so happy as well.

Hmm, so I guess that Great-Grandmother is more of a responsible planner sort of person, unlike me and Mother. I wonder when I'll get to meet her.

Anyway, once Mother put me down we began to move into position. I dropped down from the ledge and moved through the forest and closer to the entrance of the nest.

Mother stayed on the ledge for a little bit and waited for me to get closer. She could tell my position because of her incredible eyesight as well being able to pick up my scent from a large distance away. She also has heat vision so she can see my body easily due to my incredibly warm body temperature.

Once I got close enough, I stopped and after a little while I began to hear the loud beating of wings overhead.

Mother let off an incredibly loud and intimidating roar before opening her mouth and letting out a large quantity of fire.

"REEE! REEEEEE!"

"REEEEEEEEEE!"

"REEEEE! REeeee…"

Within moments, my mother had incinerated the majority of the patrolling and guarding ants in the area of the entrance.

Before I end up standing in awe of Mothers power forever, I tear my attention away from Mothers actions and get moving towards the entrance.

As I run, I see that most of the ants are basically cinders by this point. But there were a few who were injured but still moving. Unlike the ones that I fought near home, these ones did not try to escape even though they were quite grievously injured.

They advanced towards me and I began my attack.

There were around 30 of them left, 5 giant ones and 25 warrior ones. That is more than I have faced still, but all of them were injured by this point. It shouldn't take to much power to take these down, then I can save the majority of my power for those inside the nest.

"Kukuku you guys can be my warmup. [Fireball]!"

I begin by launching a bunch of fireballs towards the advancing small army. Through my training I can launch the fireballs one after the more quickly and for longer periods of time.

"REEEEEE!"

The fireballs, and the explosions they created, quickly decimated about half of them, including two of the highly injured Giant Ants.

I then quickly strengthened my body with [Body Strengthening] and ran towards another Giant Ant. I slam my tail into the leg of the Giant which snaps its leg where it hits. It collapses and lands on 5 more of the smaller Warrior Ants, killing them.

Then just as I was about to take on the other ones, Mother came back around and launched another huge fire breath attack on them. They were fried not long after Mothers breath touched them.

"NO FAIR MOTHER! YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE MY OPPONENTS!" I shout up at Mother who flies in place as she answers me.

"Hehe you need to be quicker Alicia I was getting bored just flying around waiting, so I decided to help you out a bit."

"Uuuuuu, it still isn't fair! Hmph, you can't follow me inside and take my opponents in there though okay?"

"Of course, I wasn't going to in the first place you know?" Mother says with a gentle voice, which doesn't really match with the hellish scenes around us as the trees and ground surrounding the entrance have been thoroughly burnt.

"Okay good! Right I am going in Mother, so I shall see you when I return victorious!"

"Hehe yes, yes but do be careful Alicia. Remember everything you have learnt in the past few months and you shall be fine."

I nod and turn to head inside of the nest. I felt excitement well up inside of me as I head in.

WHAT IS GOING ON!

When I first entered the cave, there quite a few enemies that came to attack me.

The walls had holes in and sort of looked the way beehive might. At first the ant monsters popped out of these holes and came at me. Warrior Ants and Worker Ants teamed up in an attempt to get rid of me with there burrowing and close combat attacks synching up quite well.

These ones teamwork was a lot better than the ones from my training. I was beginning to think it was because they were closer to the nest and their Queen.

These guys were better than the ones in training, I was having a really good time fighting them. Eventually I defeated them and moved on expecting more and more enemies to pop up as I got further in.

But after a while…

WHY IS NO ONE COMING TO FIGHT ME NOW!

I had wondered in these tunnels for a while now without anyone attacking me. They had just stopped trying to stop me.

Its not completely disappointing though, I feel like I am getting closer to the main chamber.

I can feel a strong presence coming from nearby, it must be the Queen!

Eventually I arrive at the door.

How strange. I never expected to find a door in an insect nest. Kukuku but this must mean that whatever is in here is important. The Queen is definitely here.

I couldn't contain my excitement any longer and charged at the door with all my might.

"HYAHHHHH Huh WAIT AHHH!"

To my surprise just as I was about to charge through the door, it opened by itself.

I couldn't stop myself and I went flying through the open door, doing several rolls before finally stopping. It was rather embarrassing.

As I looked up, I noticed that I was in a large central room. It kind of looked like a throne room… So that must mean.

I looked over to the end of the room.

There stood a beautiful fluorescent bluey purple ant. It was a bit bigger than a Warrior Ant, its carapace looked really strong and its two front limbs looked like large sharp swords. Its long legs didn't look fragile at all, which was the case with all the other ants that I had faced. I don't how this was possible for an ant but it gave off a rather dignified aura.

Thus the battle with Ant Queen begins.
