Subjugation Part Two

Ant Queen POV:

I thought I had made a mistake in moving my colony here to this mountain.

But it turns out this was the best decision I have ever made.

It started when I sent a large amount of my army to go and scout out an old city that looked completely abandoned. However, it turns out that it was not abandoned.

My army was completely destroyed by a Dragon and a highly evolved one at that. Even a Dragon that had evolved once is an incredibly dangerous being that could easily wipe out colonies like mine.

Therefore, when I discovered that I had in fact sent an army into a Dragons territory I was immediately regretting my decision and began to plan a way to move the colony yet again.

Just when I was about to finalise my plans to move on, I heard a devastatingly loud roar.

"What is going on out there!" I shouted to no one in particular, not like any of these dumb monsters would answer me anyway.

I use one of my skills to let me see through one of my minion's eyes.

[Shared Vision]

My vision switched to one of the few living minions that was outside, all I could see was utter chaos. The surroundings around the entrance were utterly burnt, all of the minions were either dead or incredibly injured.

But then I saw it. While the monstrous being in the sky flew over, destroying everything its flaming breath touched. There was something else fighting against my soldiers.

A tiny red Dragon that looked like it was small even for a fledgling. It had piercing golden eyes and unbelievably fluffy red fur that went half way down its back and on the tip of its tail.

It was…

It wasss…

SO CUTE!

"That is it! I must have that tiny little Dragon all to myself! Haahhhh…"

What is going on? I have never felt like this before. But that little Dragon seems to have awakened something within me.

"I MUST have it!"

Before I noticed, the small Dragon had already made its way inside of the nest. It was currently fighting against a few of my Worker Ants and Warrior Ants. It seemed to be dealing with them quite easily, hmm I wonder if they are the reason I have seen quite a few of my minions go missing.

Hang on…. What if my stupid minions hurt the little Dragon!

A sudden horrible thought flashed through my head, I send a communication to all the ants left in the nest. I tell them to not approach the Dragon at all and let her come to the main chamber.

Fufufu I shall let it come to me, that should ensure that it does not get needlessly hurt. I cannot let its cuteness be tarnished even slightly by those idiots. I am the only one who can be trusted to handle it.

"Haaaah, hurry up and get here little Dragon." I say as I stare longingly through the eyes of one of my minions hiding in the walls of the tunnels, monitoring its progress to get to my position.

Eventually, it managed to get to the door that leads into my main chamber. It had looked quite frustrated when it was making its way here, but that just added to how cute it looked.

Hmmm I know, I shall open the doors up for it. Perhaps if I am nice enough it might join me willingly, it does not look that old so maybe I can confuse it into coming with me.

So I order the Warrior Ants by the door to open them up.

Just as they were opening them, I heard a little shout from the other side of the doors.

Then all of a sudden, the Dragon came flying though the open doors. Doing several rolls before finally stopping in the centre of the room.

SO CUTE.

I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT ITTTTTT!

It seemed initially dizzy at first, not surprising after the amount of rolls it just did as it entered. It then looked like it realised that I was here and turned towards me.

Its eyes seem to light up as it looked at me.

UUUUUU ITS SO CUTEEEEEEEE

It then got up and walked closer to me and opened its mouth to say…

"%$^**(*&)%$$!"

It shouted something that I could not understand…

BUT ITS VOICE THOUGHHHHH

It had remarkably cute voice that was quite high pitched and childish, so it was hard to tell if it was a male or female baby Dragon.

Fufufu doesn't matter to me though, cute is cute.

As I was admiring the Dragon it got into a pose as if to say it was going to fight me.

Oh? So it isn't going to just give up and become mine is it not? Fufufu that is fine, it would be not be as fun if it was that easy.

"I see you wish to fight me tiny one! Very well then, but there is only one way this is going to end… with you becoming MY little Dragon!"

I advance towards my future adorable little Dragon, with fire in my eyes!

POV Alicia:

I snapped myself out of looking at the Ant Queen with awe and begin to get a little bit closer so I can challenge her.

There were enemies I had fought before such as the Warrior and Worker Ants in the room, but I had fought and beaten plenty of them by this point. I was only interested in taking on this Ant Queen as she was the only one who I had not fought and defeated yet.

So I walked a bit closer then stopped, leaving a bit of distance between us. Then I shouted…

"Heyyy! I am the Great Dragon Alicia! I have come to challenge you to a battle for you shall be a stepping stone on my path to getting revenge on Mother by stroking…. I mean by becoming stronger then her!"

I stuttered a bit, but I most definitely got my point across.

However, the Ant Queen just stood there for a bit, not moving. It kind of reminded me of when I first talked in front of Mother.

After a little bit life began to return to her as she was shaking a bit… and that dangerous light in her eyes, they sort of remind me of someone…

Anyway, as she seems to have returned to her senses, I suppose I shall take a battle stance and prepare for battle.

The Queen walks forwards and something happens that I did not expect…

"$^*&$^%^£^&&%&%%$^$^$$££££*&&^!"

Well, the good thing is that I at least know that this Queen is intelligent enough to communicate which shows she is a much higher level then the other ants.

However, I had forgotten that my only knowledge of language was the ancient Dragon language!

WAIT…. That also mean that she did not understand what I said…. UUUUUUU! I said all those super cool and serious lines thinking they would understand, how embarrassing…

I had no time to further sit there thinking about my embarrassing mishap. For the Ant Queen was now coming towards me with a dangerous fire I her eyes…. They definitely look familiar… hmmm.

Back to the battle, it seems that the only I will be fighting is the Queen herself, maybe she loves to battle as much as I do?

That thought got me excited, thinking this Queen was my kindred spirit, like Mother is.

"Hyaaahh [Fireball]!"

I start like I usually do, launching multiple fireballs at my opponent. Unexpectedly just as I thought they were going to make a direct hit something happened…

"An earth wall!"

As the smoke from my fireballs explosion cleared, I noticed a large earth wall was now between me and the Queen.

"%$^%%£" The Ant Queen says… though I have no idea what she is saying.

We carry on our battle. She continued to surprise me by using various earthen element magic attacks that backed me into a corner a few times.

At one point, the ground seemed to try and swallow me up by making me sink into it or she tried to seal me in a cage or ball made out of earth… it feels like she is trying to capture me rather than fight me… and she still has that weird look in her eyes… but that can't be true, I mean we are having such a great fight. I can practically hear her heavy breathing out of excitement!

Anywayyy, I easily escaped these attempts to restrain me by using my [Body Strengthening]. But although I could escape her attacks, my attacks seem to be doing nothing at all to her. Whenever I try to attack her, that earthen wall seems to get in the way. I need to think of a way to get around it.

I scan the area for anything that could help me gain an advantage.

Just then I spot the pillars that were helping to support this room. They were huge…

Ah! Let's try it!

"Kyuuuuu!" I give a determined shout.

I started running at the pillars, the Queen tried to stop me by using her sinking ground skill. I briefly got caught and I thought that I could easily just use my skill to rip myself free again. But the Queen seemed to switch up her tactics, she charged straight for me, opening up her arms to try and grab me.

I didn't have time to try and rip myself free, so I launched a fireball at the ground to destroy what was restraining me. The queen was surprised by this and jumped back.

What I do next will surprise you even more, I thought.

I finally reach one of the giant pillars, used my body strengthening skill and… tackled straight into it as hard as I could.

The tackle sent debris from the pillar down towards the Ant Queen, she managed to block that but next came…

"Haha don't lose your focus on the enemy in battle! [Flame Beam]!"

Because the Queen was blocking the debris, she did not have time to block my massive flame beam attack and was hit square on.

The Queen was sent flying across the room taking a lot of damage. It looks like she broke a few limbs and was a bit burnt, but she was alive still. She could no longer battle in that state though.

"Victory!" I shouted.

Though that thought was short lived.

*CRACK*

I turned around hearing a sudden loud noise. The pillar I tackled was starting to fall. And that would… take the whole chamber down with it.

Shit! I have to get out now!

I start heading towards the doorway, but then I remember… the Queen was still alive right?

I look over to see that the Queen was struggling to move to try and escape, and all the other ants that were so loyally fighting for her before were now trying to flee themselves without helping her.

Hmmmm she gave me the best fight I have had since I got into this world, and she seems like she has a lot more intelligence then just an average monster. Plus, I would feel bad just leaving her here…

As I was deciding whether to help her out or not, a large piece of debris came falling from the ceiling towards her.

"Damn it!"

I strengthen my body and dived at the debris, going straight through it and shattering it into pieces.

I flip the flailing Queen onto my back, bit onto one of her sword like arms and dragged her as quickly as I could towards the exit. I occasionally had to let go of the arm and fire some fireballs at falling debris but I was making progress.

*Boom*

But a large piece of debris broke off from the ceiling and landed in front of the doorway.

"AHHHH GOD DAMN IT! ME AND MY STUPID IDEAS! [Flame Beam]!"

I am incredibly frustrated that I put myself in this situation. But I need to make it right!

I put a lot of mana into one big [Flame Beam] and blasted it at the debris blocking the way.

And it worked!

"Awesome! Now I have to…. Urgh... I used up all my mana.."

I used up the last of my mana trying to get through the rubble in the way of the door. I couldn't move.

Damn, I was so close… Ah…

As I thought this could be it for a second time, I was forcefully picked and was now travelling towards the door.

I looked up to find the Ant Queen was carrying me the last little distance.

*Boom*

We made it through the door just in time.

"Just… in time… thank you…"

Then just as I was about to pass out. I heard a voice…

*Race Evolution Conditions Met.*

*Commencing Race Evolution.*

"…Cool…"

I then passed out.
