Reunion Incoming

It had been two months since the fight with Georg.

"Hyaaaaaah!"

The fight had been an overwhelming victory for Alicia that had allowed her to test out her full strength without holding back.

"Quick! Restrict her movement!" "I'm on it!"

She have to think about the fact that Georg might be trying to lead her into a trap, he was no where near smart enough for that. It was just a head on collision between two creatures whose specialty was brute force. The Mad Chief Georg was utterly defeated. And executed for his cruelty.

"Haha! Way too slow you guys!"

Hmm? What's happening right now? Alicia is doing what she enjoys the most. Fighting.

"Ignis! Vera! Ya both need to get a lot stronger if you are going to get anywhere close to beating me in a sparring match, and even stronger then that if you want to beat me while we can use skills."

Alicia had just finished her morning sparring with both Ignis and Vera which had become a usual occurrence in the courtyard of the castle as of late. She had gotten permission from Terre to spar, as long as she did not use her skills, use her Dragon form or damage anything.

"Grrrr but we are not as battle crazy as you are Alicia! Plus, your race basically has a cheat when it comes to fighting, it's just not fair!" Shouted Ignis, the Three Tailed Fire Kitsune that had a few months ago become the first knight of this troublesome Dragon Princess.

She had been trying hard as of late to get strong enough to be able to protect…. or at very least fight along side and not get in the way of Alicia. She did not need much protecting after all with her power level.

Alicia was currently stood at the opposite end of the courtyard to Ignis and Vera, who were now on the floor, exhausted from another morning of intense sparring. Exhausting for them anyway…

"Hahaha! Oh Ignis you are a bitter loser! You just have to try even harder then you are now then I am sure you can entertain me a little bit more hahaha!" Alicia shouted across the courtyard to her, a smug smile painted across her face and tiny little fangs showing as she laughed at them.

"Grrr… *sigh* why does such a cute girl have to have such a out of this world personality." Ignis sighs, resigning herself to defeat and the knowing that she would not hear the end of this all day.

"You shall just have to accept it Ignis, this is just how our lady is I am afraid." Ignis looked up to see a tall girl with jet black hair. This person was Vera.

Not long after Vera had woken up two months ago, she too pledged her allegiance to Alicia. After seeing how she helped her Brother and the rest of her clan, who had been forced around by Georg for so long.

After the words of allegiance came out of Vera's mouth, she started to glow intensely. This did not surprise Alicia of course as she had seen this a few times by this point, but it did give Noa a bit of a fright as he was not prepared for the bright glow even though it had happened to him not that long before.

Now, Vera has the appearance of an extremely beautiful young woman. As previously mentioned, she has jet black hair, the piercing green eyes she always had and a fairly serious looking face that did not seem like it would often show lots of emotion. It was the sort of face that made her popular with both guys and girls. She also had fluffy wolf ears and a super fluffy tail near her butt which made her another target of Alicia to try and fluff. Her body was also healthy and toned, as you would expect from a creature who had experienced a lot of fighting, as well as covered in scars as she had previously when she had a wolf form. She gave off an ice queen sort of vibe, but she is always friendly with everyone she interacts with, which only increased her popularity.

Once she evolved she was then offered a position as one of Alicia's knights, which led her to meet and become friends with Ignis.

"In any case, my opinion is that her sometimes childish attitude only adds to her cute charm… Just makes me want to mess with her when I have the opportunity…" Vera says, her words seeming to be going to a weird place as a very slight blush appears on her face.

"Vera… Your real thoughts are spilling out again…" Ignis squints at her usually quiet and gallant looking friend, which seemed to break Vera out of her increasingly worrying chain of thought.

When she realised what she said out loud she became slightly embarrassed, which is again something only a few around her had seen.

"Ahem… sorry about that Ignis. You must know what I mean though, our Lady is very small and cute even though she is a mature Dragon." Vera says, turning and looking at Ignis who had just about recovered from the fight.

They both turn and look at Alicia, who is still stood at the other side of the courtyard, hands on hips laughing about her "Great Victory" with a tinge of arrogance and childishness within her voice.

"*Sigh* I guess I get it, but does she really need to brag for this long about it…" Ignis agrees, but at the same time complains at the prolonged outburst of arrogance and joy coming from their master.

"Haha I guess you are right, lets see if we can get her moving towards the guild. Miss Terre said she wanted to discuss a few things with Lady Alicia before HER arrival…"

"Hmmm very true, I wonder what she is like. Alicia talks about her so much that I really am beginning to think she is a..."

"Don't say it… if she hears you even mention the word you know she is going to throw a tantrum that will take us a while to appease her. Remember last time you mentioned it… she made us spar with her for hours on end until she finally tired herself out and forgot why she was angry in the first place." Vera says while quickly covering Ignis' mouth, reminding her of that rather traumatic day.

Ignis' face paled as she imagined what could have happened if she had continued her sentence. Their mornings practice had been more intense than usual because Alicia was so excited, she did not think she would be able to make it through another few hours of sparring like that.

"You're right… you really saved me there Vera…"

"Saved you from what?"

"AHHH!" Ignis almost jumped out of her skin and fur from surprise.

The voice that sounded from right behind her was of course Alicia. Apparently, she has finally calmed herself down a little bit and had gotten curious as to what Ignis and Vera were whispering about together.

Now she has her had face super close to her Knights as she turned around. Ignis was not prepared for Alicia's cute face to be so close, she could clearly see her reflection in her beautiful golden eyes that were filled with a wanting to know what was going on.

"Nnnn-Nohing awt awlll!" Ignis stammered out having bit her tongue when she jumped back slightly.

"Hmmmmm really? But I could clearly see you two whispering about something…" Alicia looks at the two suspiciously, her eyes demanding someone to tell her the truth.

"Yes Lady Alicia, nothing important we were just discussing how excited we are to meet your Mother…" Vera quickly said in order to placate her.

All of a sudden, Alicia's suspicious gaze turned into one of pure joy as her attention was drawn to the "HER" that Ignis and Vera were discussing earlier. Alicia's mother Petra. A day earlier they had received a letter brought by the same bird that came before, Galthea, from Mother that said she would be returning on the night the next day.

"Hehe nonsense Vera, talking about Mother is definitely something important! In fact, I can't believe you did not invite me over before starting HAHAHA!" Alicia laughed loudly, clearly having her mood skyrocketed by the mention that her Mother would be returning today.

Seeing that the attention had been took off her, Ignis turned to Vera, while Alicia was in her own world thinking about her reunion, and gave her big thumbs up and mouthed the word "Thank you" in absolute relief.

Vera just gave her strained knowing smile and turned her attention back to her master, they had to get her to go see Terre very soon. They had no time to savour the relief that they have just escaped a few hours of hellish training.

"To change to topic Lady Alicia, we do have to meet up with Miss Terre soon so we have to set off towards the Adventurers Guild as soon as we can..."

"Vera! I told you, you should just call me Alicia!" She then runs up to the stoic woman, stands up on her tip toes so her face gets as close as she can to the very tall Vera and starts poking her in the cheek.

"Come ooooooon. Say it with me A. LI. CI. A." The small Dragon Princess says teasingly.

"sooo close…" Vera whispers with a tense face, trying to hold herself together.

"You really are helpless when it comes to Alicia, Vera." Ignis resigns herself to having to wait around for a while longer and sits cross legged on the floor, watching Vera get poked in the cheek while she struggles to keep her dignified appearance.

That is until…

"Your Highness Alicia, it is time for your meeting with Lady Terre." Says a voice in a very respect filled tone.

"Hmmm? Ah Haila, have you come to play as well?" Alicia looks to the direction of the voice and says.

The voice belonged to Haila, who is an evolved humanoid version of a warrior ant. Body shape wise, she was similar to Terre with her four arms and mandibles that came round the side of her head and round to just below her chin. Her skin tone was also brown, though her eyes were entirely silver unlike Terre's golden ones.

Like Terre she had an extremely beautiful face, but at the same time it was very serious and business like all the time Alicia had seen her. She had short hair, that did not reach shoulders and was shaved at the sides and longer on top where it was swept back.

She was carrying a large spear for her weapon, which she turned out to be most proficient with, and some iron armour made specifically for her races humanoid warriors.

Haila has been assigned as the commander of the castle walls due to her military prowess and commanding ability. Alicia always wanted to spar against her, though she always declines saying that she is too busy.

"I am afraid not your Highness. As I said, it almost time for your meeting with Lady Terre and she asked me to make sure you arrive at the guild on time… to discuss the celebration for the Queen's arrival…"

"Ahhhhh! That's true we need to talk about the party for when she gets here! Why didn't you guys tell me earlier!" Alicia shouted back to Vera and Ignis.

"But we tried…" "But we did…"

"No excuses! Let's go, go, gooooo!" Alicia then began to charge out the gate to go to her meeting with Terre, forcing Vera and Ignis to play catch up with her.

"Urghhh why is she soo…" Ignis mumbled as she runs for the gates and after Alicia.

"Haha, thanks Haila. Not sure how long it would have taken us to get there if you didn't come along." Vera stops to thank Haila with another strained smile, before she too begins the pursuit of Alicia, but does so while doing a jog on the spot to let her know she cannot stick around.

"Think nothing of its Lady Vera, now I shall not keep you waiting. I need to get back to my duties of patrolling the walls and the perimeter around the castle…" Haila says and beckons Vera to begin chasing after the other two.

Vera then nods back and begins sprinting after Ignis and Alicia, hoping that her long legs can help her catch up with other two who are smaller.

"*sigh* it's going to be a busy day..." Vera says to herself.

Thus begins the countdown to the reunion.
