Chapter 41

Lisa's POV

We're currently at Seoul since we need to make things done soon. Rosé came back after her two hours meeting at the company. Were now arranging the process of turning over the company on to my care. I begged Rosé that I want to go atleast to meet the shareholders but she told me it'll be no surprises if i showed up.

"So what happened?" I asked looking at Rosé who is scrolling something on her ipad.

"Here." She handed it to me. I glance at it and saw the minutes.

"So we'll be doing the event at the end of the February. So we have like almost three months to prepare. I already called for press and media since it will be a big news. We also had the papers regarding your name change and the company was already named after you. There will be a lot of queries but we managed to settle them all. Now, all you have to do is review all those things that I've sent you, it was everything you need to know regarding the company and were all good." she explained as i scroll to the notes.

"Do i have to give a speech?" I asked hesitantly, i don't think im ready for a big event.

Rosé leans forward resting her elbow on her knee. "As much as we don't want to, you have to."

"I'll help you with that." Jennie suddenly spoke, she was just beside me but she only listen to what were talking.

"You sure?" i asked while staring at her beautiful catlike eyes.

"Yeah" Jennie nods as she wraps her arms around my waist earning a smirk from Rosé.

"thank you" I smile, turning on my side to face her again.

"Okay I'll leave you two there. I forgot something on my car." Rosé glare that made us chuckle.

"You're too clingy" I whispered as she rest her head on my shoulder.

"uhm Lisa, it's almost Christmas, and I was wondering how we could celebrate it with both of our families. Well I'll introduce you to my parents maybe soon but You want me to meet the rest of yours too, right?"

"Of course I want to. I'd love ." I pinch her nose and kiss her cheek.  "How about we spend Christmas Eve at your family's place in Daegu and then we fly to Bangkok right on Christmas Day?" I suggest.

Jennie pauses. Her cheeks suddenly turn red as she buried her face on my sleeve.

"Why, what are you thinking?" I chuckled.

"Well... remember when you said you wanted to take things slow?" she teasingly smiles. "I don't feel anything slow about this..."

"Jennie..." I breathe out. "I've been meaning to tell you - "

My sentence was interrupted when Rosé burst back into the room looking like she was in a state of annoyance. "Jennie, you've got visitors."

Jennie's POV

I felt my throat dry up when I saw Bian standing in the middle of the room... along with Kai.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, focusing my gaze at Kai, who happened to be mindlessly looking around the place.

Lisa lets out a deep sigh as she hid her hands behind her back. I could see her fists curling up.

"We came for a visit," Kai shrugs. "Didn't you miss me?"

"I think you should leave," I shot him a glare. I could see the look in his eyes. He was up to no good.

Kai chuckles as he walks from the corner of the room passing by at us and stop at the couch. He sits on it while staring at each one of us. "You think I'm trouble? I came here to talk things out."

I opened my mouth to speak, but Lisa placed her hand in front of me, motioning me to stop. "There's nothing to talk about," she said firmly.

"I wanted to talk to you as well, Lisa," Kai looks up at her then to Rosé who is standing still at the near kitchen "Uhm Miss thank you for letting me in." he smile at her.

"You sure your mouth will do the talking or will it be your fist all over again?" Lisa clenched her jaw. "I honestly have no time for your shit, Kai."

"How do you even know that you'll be getting shit from me?" Kai shot back.

I threw my hands up in frustration and rolled my eyes. "That's all we've been getting from you lately!"

"Jennie... Lisa... I'm really sorry for showing up unannounced," Bian politely interrupts. "We just came here to make a proposal to the future CEO of Manoban's Company"

"What?!!" my eyes widen at her statement.

"What's what Jen? We all knew that this Lisa is the daughter of late Marco Manoban, when everyone thought that she died together with her sister, she was standing here alive and who knows, f*cking??" How did he knew. "It wasn't that hard to know who she is, she has no records and did amazing job in hiding." he answered before i could ask.

"What do you want?" Lisa firmly ask pulling me behind her.

"I told you we're here for a proposal."

"A proposal?" I raise one eyebrow up. This was stressing me out by the second.

"How'd you even know where we were?" Lisa accusingly asks.

"Sources," Bian shrugs.

Lisa snickers. "Look, I don't trust you two, okay? I don't even want to hear what you're about to say." She takes my hand and turns her back against Kai. I froze, not really knowing what to do.

"I think you just need to hear me out," Kai called after her. "It has something to do with your story."

I gulped. How did he find out about Lisa's story?! What the fuck is he some sort of psychic?!!

Lisa sighed and turned back around to face Kai. "Everything you said was top secret. How'd you find out about it?"

"It doesn't matter," Kai says. "But I can help you. Look, I know you don't trust me, but I came here to fix things. You probably won't believe me, but that's the truth. I know I've been unreasonable – "

"Unreasonable?" Lisa scoffs. "That's an understatement."

"I know," Kai admits. "You can call me whatever you want. I just want you guys to know that I'm really sorry."

"How are you even going to help us?" I ask.

"I can be your sponsor to turn Lisa's story into a novel book.." he proposes. "Just make sure that my name and our company will be in the credits and list of sponsors. That's it." Wait, so it means it will be printed?

"What's the catch?" Lisa questions.

"There's no catch," Kai simply answered.

"Bullshit," Lisa shakes his head.

I stared at Kai in disbelief. "Really? You came all the way to Korea to tell us that you're helping out financially to publish her story?"

"This is not just about money," Kai mutters.

"We know a lot of big names in the media," Bian pitches. She took out her iPhone and started scrolling down the screen. "We've got connections from All South Korea's famous Magazines as well as international such as People Magazine, Seventeen, Entertainment Tonight... the list goes on. We can make this big for you."

"There's nothing to lose," Kai smirks, crossing his arms below his chest. "All you have to do is help us by letting us help you."

"I don't know, Kai..." I stammer, wrapping my hand around Lisa's.

"Well, you guys can think about it," Kai says, getting up from his seat. "Bian and I will be staying at The Nari Hotel until Sunday. You can just ring us anytime for a meeting over dinner or whatever."

To my surprise, he walks up to Bian and wraps his arm around her shoulder. "Shall we go?" he leans close to her ear. The way his hand was firmly groping her bare arms made me think twice.

"Uh, yes," she sputters. "We have a meeting with a client in an hour."

"Great," he smiles at her. He looks at us and gives us a quick nod. "I hope to see you again soon."

When he was gone, Rosé walks out of the kitchen with a puzzled look on her face. "I'm not even going to deny that I've been eavesdropping. What the hell was that all about?"

"You know what Chaeng?" Lisa sigh, helplessly leaning against my arm. "I've got no freaking idea. "

"Im sorry." i mumbled.  I know Kai has changed a lot, but what if he was harmless this time? I know the real Kai. I know he's capable of going back to his old self if he only tried. Maybe I just had to give him another chance to prove his worth – at least as a friend who wants to help out.

And not mentioning that Lisa's family has a quite attention in business, surely Hollywood is bigger.

After that unexpected meeting with Kai, we head back to Busan, Rosé went home at Ulsan while Lisa decided to stay at my apartment.

"Are you still thinking about your ex?" Lisa asked as we sat on the small couch. My head was resting on her chest while she gently brush my hair using her finger.

"Hmmm. Haven't you thought of publishing your books?" I knew that Lisa did the story for entertainment purpose only but it received a lot of recognition from the blogsite and no wonder it will be a catch if she publish it.

Lisa stops from brusing my hair. I felt her deep sigh "To be honest, it was a good idea. I don't think im ready yet to own a book but i know you will help me if i do so, right?"

I nod in agreement.

"So let's work on publishing it?"

"Yeah. I have a Project Manager assistant in here so im sure you know all the aspect ot if."

"Not really." I chuckled. "so are we going to accept Kai's offer? Its not bad though."

"Let me think of that first is it okay?" she ask and i nod scooting closer to her.

Having spent a good while here, Lisa pull me up and kiss me full on the lips. Her hand cups my cheeks as our lips move in sync.

Realizing that we seem to be in a compromising position facing each other side by side, i settle back in the seat, fold my arms over my chest so that the fingers on my left hand can caress your left chest casually since she have leaned in and are now resting her head on mine.

It suddenly got warm making my breathing heavy. I  pay attention to her chest gently heaving under her printed shirt-top, held in place by padded bra cups. Unconsciously, my right hand reaches forward, almost in slow motion and cup her right breast with my fingers while my thumb tries to locate her. She gently close her eyes and her breath gets caught in a small gasp as she enjoy the sensation and let out a slow sigh.

Just then a phone rings and I realise it is mine. I scramble up in a hurry and locate my phone to answer while Lisa also sit up giggling at the sudden interruption.

"What?!" I hissed as soon as i picked up.

"Oh? Why you're mad?" Seulgi asked.

Oh hey im in make out session with Lisa and then yoi called, what a nice timing Kang! Of course i didn't say that.

"Why? I'm going to kill you if it wasn't important Kang Seulgi!"
