Chapter 40

Jennie's POV

Since we got on the plane, Lisa never stops talking about the memories she had and how her face blindness gone. Im not sure how possible is that, i don't have any idea in the field of medicine.

"Baby will you forget me in a month?" Lisa suddenly asked out nowhere while her lips are pouting.

"No of course not. Why are you asking?" I squint my eyes at her.

"What about six months?" she asked before taking my hand and place a kiss at the top of it.

"What's wrong with you? I'll not forget about you ever. Okay?" i chuckle at her sudden drama.

"What about a year? or two?" her voice was so low but with a hint of sadness, is she okay? was something bothering her?

"I'll never forget you Lisa okay?! i raise my eyebrows emphasizing at every words. She nods his head before saying "knock knock."

"What? Are you serious? Just a few moments ago you're overly dramatic...and don't show me that pout, i kn....."

"Knock knock!!" she insists.

"Lisa it's not t...."

"Knock knock!!"

"Fine!! Who's there!"

Lisa's face fell with a disappointed look "See you already forget me."

"WHAT THE ACTUAL F..!!"

"Sssshhhh!" hissed two of the old men behind us.

"Sorry," Lisa whispers. She got some of her chocolate candies and handed it to them. "Here, you guys can have these."

The old man willingly accepted the candies from Lisa and went back to her little nap.

"Sorry.." Lisa mumbled before pulling my face closer and the next thing i knew were making out fifty thousand feet above the sea level.

Lisa deepened the kiss and i unconsciously moaned when i realize her hands were resting on my tigh. At the back of my head, i was hoping she will move her hands a little higher but then she pulled away from the kiss. Her cheeks were tomato red while her lips were a little swollen.

"sorry." she muttered.

After setting ourselves, our hands remained tangle as we went back to the topic earlier before her silly joke.

"I know why you're insisting that you're real."

"What?" Lisa asks in a softer tone.

"I know why you kept insisting that you were real," I repeated. "Whenever you dream, you don't know that you are dreaming, which is why you think it's real. Let's not forget about the fact that you don't even remember your dreams when you wake up. You were probably having those dreams the same time I was, which is the time you're under coma, that's why all you have now are flashbacks."

"You could totally replace that psychiatrist you had," Lisa muses. "You're so much better than her. She didn't even think I was real."

I chuckle whilst playing with her hair with my fingers. "I could take her job, huh? I experienced everything first hand. I should know better."

"It's absolutely insane that we share all these memories of things that didn't even actually happen," Lisa shakes her head in bewilderment. "It's almost as if we live in a fantasy world of some sort."

"I guess we underestimate life itself," I say. "It's been months and I still can't believe that actually happened to me."

"I still can't believe this happened to me," Lisa squeezes me tight. "I am enjoying every minute of it though."

We continue to talk during the rest of the flight while being told to shut up every five minutes. I just couldn't get enough of her. She was the most open-minded person I've ever spoken to. Whenever I would explain something to her, no matter how crazy it sounded, she would just sit and listen intently.

While getting off the plane, Lisa continued to tell me about her flashbacks and everything she had written for the story. She was starting to get all animated with her story when Taemin passed by her, dragging her suitcase behind.

He looks like he hasn't had any sleep on the plane. I don't blame him since he was beside Irene and Seulgi - two people who couldn't seem to stop talking to each other in a really cheesy and annoying way.

"I need some sleep and probably a good punch in the face," Taemin murmurs, pulling his sunglasses down to the bridge of his nose.

"You need coffee," Seulgi points out.

Taemin shoots back with an incredible amount of sass. "I need peace and quiet, not two people obviously flirting with each other while trying not to be obvious but still fails nonetheless."

"We weren't flirting!" Irene quickly says.

Seulgi looks Taemin and shrugs. "I was."

Irene turns beat red but doesn't say anything. "I have uh... to get going. Jay is picking me up."

"Oh," Seulgi's expression became sullen. "Okay."

"I had a great time with you guys," Irene gratefully smiles. "I can't thank you enough for taking me to New York."

Seulgi pulls her backpack up to her shoulder and lets out a deep sigh. "Yeah, we had a great time as well. Let's get going."

I held onto Lisa's hand as I walked alongside Seulgi and Irene.

"Anyway, you guys sharing a taxi with me?"

I gave Lisa a worried smile, "Let's go?"

**

Weeks have passed and we were actually getting somewhere with the story. Lisa has written more than half of it, unleashing all of her passion on the part where we went to . She said that fifty percent of the story will focus on that.

"This will be big!" Lisa hissed.

"That's really gutsy," I remarked. "But your confidence is sexy."

"I really, really try, Jennie," she says in a deeper voice. I could tell she was smirking.

"You seriously make me want to ditch work everyday," I groan. "See you tonight?"

"I'll see you love," she laughs.

When I turn around to go back to my desk, I find Seulgi standing in front of me with a mischievous smile on her face.

Jongin's POV

I sat behind my desk as I blankly stared at my computer screen. On some days, I have to answer lots of emails too, which I hate. Most of the time, I would just make Bian answer them. I've trained her how to message them like as if she were me.

It's been less than a month since Jennie left to go back to Korea. It's been less than a month since I knew I would never get to focus on work - not until I see her again. I know we've spoken, but I still feel like there were so many words left unsaid.

I sigh. I needed to find a way to fix this - to fix myself.

"Bian." I say through the intercom. "Come to my office now."

She didn't even answer me back. She just popped in my office within seconds.

"Yes, Sir?" she says.

I get up from my chair and walk up to her. I wasn't very tall, but she was a little shorter than me. She used to wear these four-inch heels everyday and I told her to wear flats instead because the sound was irritating me. Now I wasn't so used to her being so short all of a sudden.

It was quite cute, to be honest.

"Do you always wear these?" I mutter, slowly pulling her glasses off and setting it on the table.

"Uh, I wear c-contacts when I go out," she stammers, looking down at the ground.

I shrug and walk closer to her. She takes two steps back until she was leaning against the wall.

"You don't think I notice the way you look at me everyday, Bian?" I smirk.

"W-what are you talking about, Sir?" her voice comes out soft and weak.

"The way you steal glances or blush whenever I say something nice - which is rare, but you get what I'm saying, do you?" I went on. "You don't have to deny it."

"Kai..." she stutters. "I mean, oh my god, I m-mean Sir K-Kim.."

"See?" I chuckle softly.

Her nervous aura suddenly lightens. "You're actually smiling," she remarks confidently.

I ignore her annoying remark and look at her straight in the eye. I almost scowl at her.

"Kiss me," I say.

Her cheeks automatically turn to a shade of pink as her eyes nearly pop out in surprise. "W-what??"

"Kiss me," I repeat with a slight growl.

Looking intimidated, she leans over and gives my lips a quick peck. I laugh and shake my head. "You call that a kiss?"

Before she could even answer, I pin her against the wall and press my lips against hers. At first she wasn't doing anything, but then once I roughly forced my tongue inside her mouth, her lips begins to move with mine.

My hands snake up to her neck, and then all the way up to her hair. I untie her bun, letting her wavy hair fall down to her shoulders.

I started to go down on her neck, finding her sweet spot. The moment I started to suck, she slowly pushed me off her. I was about to grab her arm when she ran all the way to the end of the room.

"What are you doing?" I managed to catch my breath.

She wiped the smudged lipstick off her face and nervously darted her eyes towards me. "You're just using me," she mumbles.

"What?"

"You're using me to get over Jennie," she says in a louder tone. "You know that I would greatly succumb to whatever you're trying to achieve. You know I'm weak. You see me as someone who's weak, someone you can control to your own advantage."

"Excuse me?" I shoot back. "Do you realize who you're talking to, Miss?"

"I do, Sir Kim." she slightly nods, her eyes gleaming in confidence and authority for once. "You finally have everything that you think you've always wanted, but none of what you really needed - which is love. You drive around the city in your flashy Mercedes, hold meetings with all these important people in fancy restaurants, receive a bountiful paycheck every month, but at the end of the day, when you go home to your penthouse big enough for five people, you're all alone. It's been months and you're still caught up in the fact that you lost the only girl you've ever loved in your life. You're trapped in the unrequited love you have for her, which is why you end up lashing out on everyone in your way. You think your fame has made you a better man, but the truth is it that it ruined you, and you know that. You secretly drown in self-pity and the clear bitterness is slowly eating you up inside."

I gape at her, shocked at the amount of words that just came out of her pretty little mouth. That's the most she has said to me since she was hired.

"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings..." she began.

"You didn't hurt my feelings," I growl, looking away from her.

"I'm still sorry anyway," she says. "I won't deny that you're a very handsome man, Sir Kim. I know for a fact that every girl would die to be in my place right now, but I don't want you to use me. I won't ever match up to Jennie. You're just going to be disappointed every time."

I sit back on my office chair and cross my arms behind my back. "You think you know me so well, don't you Bi?"

"I've been observant," she calmly replies.

"Good," I deadpan. "Then you should know that I'll be asking for my coffee in about ten minutes from now."

"That's it?" she lets out a frustrated chuckle. "That's all you're going to say?"

I look up from my phone and casually shrug. "No sugar."

"Okay, Sir," she huffs.

As she was about to leave the room, I purposely drop my phone on my desk, making her jump a little in fright.

"I didn't say you could leave yet," I scoffed.

She slowly walks back to me, looking as anxious as she did when she first came in.

I toss my passport towards her and shift my gaze back to my phone. "Set a quick meeting with my travel agent. I want tickets to South Korea as soon as possible."

"Tickets?" she repeats.

"Yes, two," I answered sternly. "I'm taking you with me."
