Magic Mentors

It had been one year since Circe had used magic in her training for the first time. And, just like Circe thought, she was never given reprieve from the 20x training. Eventually, when she used magic, Athena wouldn't let her use magic to heal herself from fatigue for a few days. That was when it became torture to train with the goddess.

Sadly, Circe could not say that the goddess was useless. After all, she had nearly become the goddess' match in this year, and she knew that she was probably second to only the goddess when it came to using swords.

Athena and Circe were in the training grounds saying goodbye. After all, Circe's training with Athena was over. Circe, who was now nine due to 2 birthdays having past in the 15 month training, hugged the taller goddess.

Athena simply smiled at the hug and pat the girl on the back.

Circe hugged her, as she had gotten rather close with Athena. The training may have been torture, but it was also the most time she ever spent with a person, and she loved the conversations the two would have whilst training.

"It was nice having such a talented apprentice. I hope we meet again one day, maybe you will be my equal by then."

Circe simply gave the goddess a slight smile and nod. Then, the goddess walked off as Ouranos walked onto the training ground.

Circe observed her famila's god, waiting for him to tell her what they were gonna do next. After all, she knew that this wouldn't be the end of her training. She had learned what she had deemed a secondary skill. Now, her real training would begin. Magic Training

Ouranos opened his mouth to begin speaking. "Circe, as you know, you've finished your preliminary training. Now, it's time to start your real training. I've got three gods of magic going to train you. The first will train you until you've learned everything he has to teach. Then, the next will train you for 2 years, if you do not learn everything, then you will miss out of a bit of training. The final will follow the rules of the first. Odin, your first teacher, will be arriving shortly, please be patient."

Circe gave a nod, surprising Ouranos as he usually had to ask the demigod twice. He supposed her training with Athena may have given her a reason to respect the gods finally. Then, he left the training ground and Athena began to stand there like a statue, waiting for her teacher to arrive.

---Time Skip: 1 Hour---

Circe was sitting in front of Odin who was making his introduction. There was now a table and a few chairs in the training yard. Somehow, when Odin arrived, he summoned a miniature library as well.

Odin reminded Circe of Ouranos because of the fact that they were both immortal gods and yet they both somehow were able to age until they looked like they should be in a home.

"So, my apprentice, Circe, I am Odin. I will be teaching you the basics of Mana control. Then, we will slowly work our way up until you are a master of all things Mana control. Then, once that is done, we will move onto Runes."

Circe simply gave a nod to the old god. Then, once Odin got confirmation, he instantly began his teachings for the young child of Hecate

---Time Skip: 1 Week---

Circe was currently manipulating her Mana so that there was only a single unit in ever square inch. Odin said that this was going to increase her control by an insane amount. Of course, she instantly knew how to do it from watching Odin do it, but that didn't mean she instantly had the skill to achieve the feat.

So, now the entire training ground was dotted in Circe's mana. She had barely scratched the surface of her mana pool, but that was as much as Odin had said to do, so she didn't let any of her mana escape the training grounds.

As she was doing this, Odin was currently making a massive runic array for Circe's next lesson in Mana Control.

---Time Skip: 2 Weeks---

Circe had finally finished the first step of Odin's training. To anyone other than Circe, they probably would have taken years to complete this task, but as it was Circe, it had only taken her a few weeks.

Many was thick in the air. It was constantly moving, always leaving a one centimeter gap between another piece of mana, yet they were moving at a speed a level 5 adventurer would feel envy for.

"Apprentice Circe, I see that you have completed the task. Congratulations, this is ages before I thought anyone could achieve this level of control. I suppose I shouldn't expect any less from a child of Hecate. Anyway, your next exercise is to circulate your mana through this runic array. If you hit any of the walls, you will feel a painful shock. You will continue doing this until you are better than myself at this maze."

Circe could only smile at this challenge in magic. If it were the same type of thing in swordsmanship, she no doubt would have been scared of what would happen when she failed, but with this, she was using magic, her element, she knew she would succeed quickly and flawlessly.

---Time Skip: 2 Weeks---

Circe was currently running her magic through the maze. She hadn't failed it once, but she was just trying to get faster. Of course, every time she ran her magic through it, the maze changed so she couldn't just memorize it to get quicker at it. She had to have extreme speed with her mana, yet not lose a single bit of control with it.

---Time Skip: 1 Month---

Circe was currently running her magic through the maze at a speed that Hermes himself would wish he could achieve.

As she was doing this, Odin walked up behind her.

"Apprentice Circe, I believe that you have completed your Magic Control training. Now it is time to move onto Runes." As Odin said this, Circe stopped using her magic and began to listen to what the god had to say. " I'm going to teach you how to craft with runes, aswell as use them in battle. But you must remember, Runes are a dangerous art. If you were to make even a single mistake with a craft or in battle, you could have extreme consequences, so you must listen carefully."
