Chapter 14 - Goodbye! & Senses!

He knew that in this path, he would end up making a lot of enemies. He was not too worried about an enemy that could possibly appear in the future, as he already had a lot on his plate at the moment with Duke White.

However, at this moment, he had another concern and a query deep in his mind, he was not sure how to say it.

After a while, he finally managed to say something, and he nervously asked: "Can we meet again?" This was the first interaction with someone who had been friendly to him.

After hearing about the behaviour of most people, he felt like it would be hard to find someone else readily. He had also faced a lot of adversity here, and the voice was supportive throughout this ordeal. So he did not want to break this bond, if possible.

"Yes we can, but not anytime soon, we met now since there was a connection formed because of the link between those gifts that are at your soul with the artefact I have. Thus we could talk, now that you have integrated with the gifts we can no longer maintain this connection."

"However, when you reach the 8th level of Cultivation in both of your cultivation methods. We can talk again as there will be another link between the artefact and the things in your soul."

At this point, both of them did not want this to end, but it had to.

"Before you leave, let me loosen up the seals of energy laws that are in your soul, so they can start to assimilate with you."

Suddenly an energy came close to him and examined him. With an excited voice filled with relief, the voice said, "You are lucky, that one of the laws you received is soul-based. So, when I loosen it will help heal the cracks on the surface of your soul. This will also strengthen your soul and aid you in taking over the body."

Then a small strand of energy entered the three circles of energy laws that had formed in Aile's soul. This energy just disappeared after it entering the energy law circles, and nothing happened for a while. Followed by an itching and a mild stinging pain around the areas of the energy laws.

The circles of energy laws were releasing unique energies that assimilated with the soul.

The circles of energy law on the left was giving off a soothing aura. Once the energy integrated with the soul, it started to heal the cracks on its surface at a slow rate. Aile had worked out that this one should be the law dealing with souls. Observing the process of healing, Aile started to understand how souls function, get injured and healed.

Then it clicked with him. That this is the comprehension of the laws. If anyone had seen Aile, a newborn who can easily learn and comprehend an energy law, they would have been surprised at his genius. They would try to recruit him immediately.

Normally, most people take decades just to understand the basics of the laws, let alone gain comprehension.

With the help of the soul seeds, Aile had learned something that others take years to understand.

His enlightenment ended after gaining some comprehension about his soul and healing for the energy law.

After the voice loosened the seals, the energy law in the right side of the soul resembling a barn of yarn with multiple colours was sending energy to a specific location of the soul. This energy was gathering, accumulating and condensing there, forming a bead.

As the multi-coloured energy came into contact with the soul, a discomfort akin to an itch formed in the soul's surface. Aile having gained some comprehension of the soul law. He wanted to also comprehend this law, but to his disappointment, he failed to succeed after many attempts.

The energy law at the centre comprising two circles resembling a Venn diagram was sending energy to the surface of the soul and slowly forming a coating or cover around the soul.

This energy was accumulating at a very slow pace. Since Aile knew that it would not be detrimental to him, he was not worried. He was excited at the prospect of what he will gain, once the energy forms the surrounding barrier. Aile tried his luck once again and wanted to gain some comprehension from this law, but he failed.

He hypothesized that the best time to gain comprehension would be during the time the laws make a specific action, like healing.

As observing them in their resting/unexcited phase would not allow for comprehension.

At this time, there was a soft pulling force that was trying to move Aile.

He knew that the ever-increasing pulling force was the cue before to exit this place and he had a very short time remaining here.

Then he heard the familial and parental voice that he had developed complicated feelings toward, "Here, carry this with you."

Then a small dot sized sphere was formed in front of the soul. Aile pulled the small dot and placed it on the surface of his soul. He was not sure how to react in such a situation and how to say goodbye.

At this point, the pulling force had increased radically, and he could no longer resist it. Aile muttered in a low tone, "goodbye!"

After saying his goodbye with a complicated expression, he disappeared and reappearing in the comfortable place he lives: inside the body of the little boy.

Here he felt like he had returned home from a lengthy trip.

He had come back with a better mindset and was calmer.

This calm was because most of his questions and curiosity about himself had been answered. Now he could fully concentrate on what is ahead of him.

He sensed his surroundings in his soul form and noticed that he is still in the cave with Duke White, Hunter, and Marcus.

Seeing them in a similar position as he left them, he confirmed that what the voice had told was indeed true. He had spent days in that location, but here only a little bit of time had passed.

Aile had only anchored his soul in this body and had not fully integrated, to gain full control of the body.

He had not done this because the duration of integration would take time, and he would need to get accustomed to his senses, once it succeeds.

He only felt safe enough now to fully integrate with the body and commence his takeover.

Aile's soul turned into tentacles and attached to the brain.

The soul of the boy tried to resist, but the seal that Duke White placed on him prevented him from putting up a fight.

After 30 minutes, Aile had successfully embedded in the body, and he had succeeded in the first stage of the takeover. Slowly his soul gained control of the brain and senses.

Time passed, and Aile started to understand his new body. He first gained the ability to feel.

He noticed that his upper body had a nice comforting feeling, and his lower body felt chilly and in a state where it felt cold and ready to shiver.

He had not gained his sight yet if he had, he would have noticed that his upper body was under the sunlight that had shone through the crack in the cave, while his lower body was under the shade.

This ability to feel was very unique to him, he only sensed energy in soul form. Thus, this was an interesting new intake of the world.

Then he had a weird sensation on his tongue, he felt the watery feeling of saliva and a little sweet taste mix with that.

For the next few times, he tried to swallow the saliva as soon as it was formed.

The ability to taste, especially something sweet, had really surprised him for the better.

He took his time and started to get used to these unique experiences.

After a while, he started to get sensitivity and an itch in his eyes. He knew that his sight was coming next.

He opened his eyes and what he saw was a blinding light. The intensity of the light coming from the slit above the cave was high.

Aile with a quick natural reaction closed his eyes, and he felt stinging pain from directly looking at bright things.

His curiosity did not die down, he tried again and again and finally; he saw everything.

The first thing that caught his attention was the light coming from the ceiling of the cave.

He noticed that the greenery around the crack; which allowed the light to enter. The coppery colour of the cave walls along with the bright green from the greenery made a superb contrast.

Seeing the unique colours for the first time had really surprised Aile and made him seem like a kid at a candy store.

Although, he could differentiate colours and energies on his soul form, but to experience them firsthand with his eyes, which highlighted them, made for a unique experience.
