Chapter 103 - Talking with Fiona

Aile felt a bit better after this talk, he had seen the way Emily behaved and was worried that she would leave. He was now relieved as one of his concerns was solved. Emily had kept every one of her promises to him. Thus, now he was no longer worried about her leaving, as she promised to stay with him until the agreed time.

However, Aile was curious about tomorrow's reveal and was wondering what Emily would say. Something that has made Emily act distant must be serious, so he was preparing mentally for all sort of dilemmas.

After Emily was gone, Aile got back to connecting with the energy channels; he wanted to solve this problem as soon as possible. Soon it was night time, and Fiona came to the room. Aile knew that she would be leaving soon, so he was going to cherish his time with her.

She was not cheerful like the usual and said, "Hey Aile!"

Aile smiled back, "Fiona, hey!"

"Are you not going to train?"

"No, I want to spend some time with you."

Fiona's face lighted up, and she had a beautiful smile on her face. She eagerly started a conversation. They talked, and before they knew it, Fiona laughed and smiled with Aile for hours.

Fiona then asked, "Is Emily fine?"

"She is, just a bit flustered about something."

"That is good!" Fiona then had a crafty smile on her face and said, "I thought you kept her for another reason." She then winked at Aile.

"What are you thinking about?" Aile said as he moved closer towards her. Fiona scooched in too and placed her head on his shoulder. Aile put his hand around her and rested his head on hers.

"Nothing, you two seem very close."

Aile feigned ignorance, "Is something wrong with that?" But he held her closer and rested his hand on her waist.

Fiona said with an annoyed tone, "No, nothing is wrong with that." She had a complicated feeling, Aile gave her the wrong answer, but he held her closer. This mixed message made her confused, and she was not sure what to say.

She tried a different approach, "Marquis Andrew proposed to me again."

Marquis Andrew was the representative of the royal clan in Port Kiar. Aile was not worried, but he was annoyed by everyone trying to poach his people. He was thinking of how to punish this marquis, he had been seeking every opportunity trying to take the people around him, especially the beauties.

Fiona was annoyed that Aile did not respond. But when she saw his somewhat of an angry expression, she was elated. The little movement of her head brought Aile back from his thoughts, and in the process, he met her eyes, and he smiled at her. Only to be ignored with a snort.

They were getting more comfortable snuggling, then Fiona said in somewhat of an anxious tone, "Can I ask you something, Aile?"

Aile nodded, which resulted in a gentle massage between his face and her beautiful silver hair. She noticed his acknowledgement and said, "I am worried..."

Aile embraced her closer and said, "What is it? And how can I help? If you are uncomfortable going to Fort Bot, I will cancel it."

"No, not about that. I am worried about us."

"We would still be meeting often."

"No not that either, I want to know what you think of me."

Aile curiously looked at her.

Fiona continued with a downcasted tone, "I know you have Laila and Leia and then you are close with so many more people. I want to know where I stand. I know that I am older, I had a marriage, and I do not deserve a high position. But I want to know, now that we will be far apart... I am worried that with everyone else here you will forget me... So, can you tell me... am I just your businessperson."

Aile ordinarily joked with Fiona about a lot of things, and she was always cheerful. Seeing her like this made Aile worried about her. He never expected her to have such low self-esteem regarding this. She always seemed very confident, and Aile never imagined her to be like this. He, however, appreciated her straightforward approach.

She had her face pointed towards the floor, as she looked up at Aile, waiting for his answer.

Aile used his hand that was already round her to pull her closer and kiss her thin red lips. Her eyes were wide open from Aile's action. After savouring her lips for a while, she too responded enthusiastically. Aile ran his hand through her back and spine, making her more proactive in the kissing. Aile's hands started to move around, expanding the parameters between them. After a few seconds, Fiona broke the kiss and said, "So you accept me as a concubine?"

Aile had a surprised expression once again. Aile wanted to get her confidence up. He wanted her to return back to the Fiona that did not settle for anything but the top. He was surprised by her question.

Fiona gritted her teeth after seeing Aile's surprised reaction. She then said with a resolute expression said, "If you want me to be just a mistress, I can accept that too."

Aile knew that she was willing to make so many concessions, just to be with him. For a proud person like Fiona who always strives to get the best opportunity, to settle down for a one of the lowest was very surprising. From all her effort this time and her current reaction Aile knew that she was indeed prepared to give up everything for him.

Aile picked Fiona up and placed her in his lap and said, "Why are you only asking for such distant positions from me. Do you not like me enough?"

Fiona snorted playfully, "What should I ask for? The head of your harem or the wife positions." She, however, visibly relaxed and found a more comfortable position into his lap and moved her hand to his back for support.

Aile smiled at her and nodded in affirmation.

"You are crazy, I was asking for too much when I said I wanted to be a concubine. I had married already. I can not cheat you."

Aile caressed her face and continued to stroke and brush her hair with his other hand, "Do you want any of those positions."

Fiona was tempted, but she pursed her lips and shook her head.

Aile sighed and muttered, "I guess you do not like me that much then."

Fiona gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and said, "If people find out about my history, it will lower your status. So, I do not want that."

Aile said, "I do not care about people anyways. Those that are with us will not care. Those that care or mostly our enemy or they do not matter."

Fiona's face was joyous, and then she was curiously looking at Aile, hoping that all of this was real.

"So, what do you say?" said Aile.

Fiona had a very complicated expression, she was not sure what to say. She felt like she was cheating him, but then saw his smile and noticed his hands pulling her closer and lovingly holding on to her. His love for her was visible, and Fiona had remembered his time with her. Never once did he look down on her, so she gathered up some courage and nodded.

Aile then whispered close to her ear, "Well, there is a condition."

Fiona anxiously looked at Aile to continue.

"I have to get another kiss to make it official."

Fiona realized that Aile was playing with her now. She rolled her eyes and returned to her playful nature. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and said, "Now it is done."

Fiona had got a new glow. She was more excited, and she talked with Aile energetically. After some more talking, Fiona was serious again, she said, "Aile, I have made a decision for you without asking for your opinion. It will not be detrimental to you. I just want to apologize about it."

Aile smiled back at her and said, "That is fine, I trust you with all decisions with the business anyway. As long as it does not negatively impact us, it will be fine."

She then initiated another long kiss. Aile was enjoying it as he did not kiss anyone apart from Laila and Hazel. Thus, it was his first time experiencing it with someone apart from them. It was yet different again, and he was enjoying it. After a minute, she quickly escaped afterwards saying: "You better not bring more girls when I am not here."

Aile replied cheekily, "Ok, I will wait for you to come back then."

Fiona snorted and left. She wanted to spend more time with him, but she had already distracted Aile for many hours. She did not want him to lag behind.

Aile was happy now and perplexed. When he closed his eye to concentrate back, his mind would always go back to her shoulder-length silver hair, her light blue eyes, and those delicate lips.

He also remembered the soft and firm texture of her athletic body. He sighed, yet another person he became close and they would be leaving soon after.

He really wanted to curse his luck. The world never let him enjoy his life. Whether it is a victory or an improvement, there is always something that would take away his joy, he lamented.
