Chapter 136 - Uncertainties of the future

Aile quickly left the mansion and arrived at an old house. It was a one storey house with a classic design. The house did not look new with a small space it was not considered the dwelling of someone affluent.

He went inside, Beshoy and Aurelius were waiting for him. The two bandit girls who had changed from their armour, wearing casual clothing got a unique allure. They greeted Aile and offered him some water and fruits. Seeing the way they treated Aile, brought a smile on Aurelius's face.

Soon they talked, in the last few years Fiona or someone else would organize the trades through the two girls. Therefore this was a long-awaited meeting between the three of them.

Shortly after, Aile's eyes of fate were triggered, and he noticed the death energy and decay around all of them. Aile had figured out based on the amount of death energy to work out the time before a calamity befalls that person. From this, it seemed that it was soon and it involved at least the four of them.

After the meeting was over, Aurelius smiled at Aile and said, "Since we are a family now, I have got some news that you might be interested. West of here at 3-day journey time, an ancient tomb has been found. The information about it is suppressed by the White Clan. It is the location of the burial of some hidden sect that was destroyed from what I heard. You might be interested, you can send a small team from your adventurers' group. You might be able to get something."

"Thank you, do you have any more information?"

Aurelius gave some more information written in a scroll to Aile about the find. After reading it, Aile was interested. Apparently, the sect had a lot of influence in the past. They were also known for their subdivision of runes. Aile has not improved on that, so he decided to take a look. The sect also had many other unique cultivations and skills that caught his attention.

Aile then said, "I also wanted to meet all of you, because I have heard that someone is planning to make a move against you. They have included the both of you and the two maidens in their plan. This news is very reliable. I could not find out who it is. However, I recommend all of you become extra cautious."

This shocked all four of them.

"Is there anything else?"

"That is all I know." Aile had seen the dark energy gather around them, through his eyes' of fate. Of course, he did not know who was planning to make a move against them. But he was sure that something will happen.

Aurelius had a glint in his eyes and called his two daughters to the other room. Then Beshoy remained alone with Aile. After talking with Beshoy for a bit.

Aile said, "I require some people with corrupt morality."

Beshoy asked, "Do they need to be dispensable?"

"Not necessarily, I will need them for a long time, but they will have difficult missions."

"I will find them and send them to you in two days."

"Also be careful, the threat is not something light."

Beshoy nodded.

Aile then bid farewell and was planning to leave. The two daughters of Aurelius soon arrived and told Aile to stay for lunch, they said that they prepared some food for him. They also said that he does not visit and he should stay, as it was getting close to noon. They were treating him differently from before, they knew that Aile had not shown any interest to them. Therefore, their cold personality was retracted, even more so at this moment.

Seeing their persistence, Aile waited, and it did not take long for the food to get ready. It was a meat dish, and it was delicious. Before leaving, the two girls pleaded to take them to the mansion so that they could be safe now that their life was at risk. Aile understood the reason for their warmer behaviour now.

Aile could not come up with an excuse to prevent them from going, so he told them that he is going somewhere right now and he will send someone to bring them later.

Aile had created some rooms on the outskirts of his mansion, and he can put them there. There were more checkpoints that they needed to pass before they could get into the main house. Therefore he was not worried about them hearing or noticing anything. It might seem like they got what they wanted, but it was just a change in accommodation. The difficulty of getting to where Aile was at or observing him was just as hard as before.

Aile then left to the Moon Merchant Union. He told the person in charge to inform the group that was going for a trade tomorrow, that they will have a few people accompanying them.

The location they were heading for the trade, was in the same direction as the location of the tomb, that Aurelius mentioned. Therefore Aile was going to go a part of the way with the Moon Merchant Union and the other stretch by himself.

With that Aile return to the mansion, he first looked for Emily.

He found her in Sophie's room.

Aile talked with her, and soon he offered her the spatial storage treasure. Emily smiled at Aile and kissed him. Then she took out a small gourd and showed to Aile. When Aile saw it, he was surprised it was another spatial treasure. Aile examined it and was astonished, it's space was half the size of the one Aile had. She explained that they had found it in the castle at Fort Bot and that it did not require the help of a spiritual sense to connect with them. They have been using it to carry expensive stuff that does not take a lot of space. Aile was happy for her, and Emily was even more.

She knew that Aile will need the spatial treasure more, but for her convenience, he was willing to offer it to her. This made her affection increase for Aile. She and Fiona had planned to gift the treasure to Aile as he finishes his seclusion. However, she did not mention that any more, she knew that he no longer needed it.

Shortly after, he told her that he will be leaving for an adventure tomorrow. Once he returns, he will go to Fort Bot. Emily was disappointed that Aile was leaving just as she arrived and at the same time happy that she will be able to meet him soon. Aile had left a large portion of the wealth that he collected to her. As she will need it more to create more infrastructure for the trades between the towns.

After talking with Emily, Aile went to talk with Diana. He found her, and after looking around and not finding Ellie, Aile went and kissed her. This passionate act lasted for a few minutes. Then he told her he was going to leave for a trade, and she should focus on getting to the 5th stage of cultivation in her free time. She nodded and then told Aile that Ellie has been asking about him and she wanted to go on adventures with him.

She requested if Aile can take her on the mission. Aile kissed her and told her that he had another plan after ensuring that the trade succeeds.

However, he can take her and stay until they succeed in the trade. Then he will leave, and they can return, which is a much safer part of the trip. Diana nodded and said, "Please take care of her on the way," and then she kissed him goodbye.

Aile was going to talk with Ellie and Hazel. He also wanted to bring Hazel with him to the hidden sect's burial grounds. But then he saw Zero running towards him. She said, "Miss Hazel is asking for you."

Aile followed her, and she continued and said, "She is not happy at the moment, please cheer her up. She is crying."

Understanding the situation, Aile appreciated Zero's input and nodded at her. After which he hurried to Hazel. Aile entered the room, and she was sitting on the bed, weeping. He went and hugged her after which she started to cry out loud. After a while, Aile found out that she had absorbed one of the soul leaves, it was the one he had gotten for her from the Sacred Mountain. After which her soul improved. However, with the improved soul, she could feel that she was going to recall Sara's Soul into hers sooner. After examining her, that was true, from the 7 months time Aile had, it got reduced to 2 months. Hazel was sad that yet another method failed to cure them. Aile was anxious that if he does not find a cure for her and Sara, then one will die and get absorbed by the other. The two months was too little time.
