Chapter 144 - The main event

Hazel coldly said, "Do you really think he did not hear the both of you before. He ignored all that because he considers your childish behaviour amusing. The reason he is treating you this way is so that you stop acting egotistic and overbearing. When you are wearing those masks, you represent the Moon Merchant Union. If you act like that, who will have to bear your responsibility for your childish behaviour? The next powerhouse you decide to make fun of might just sell the both of you to a brothel or use you himself."

Hazel then looked at Ellie and said, "What happens to you will not matter. You are childish and kind of good looking so they might be satisfied using you, without turning it into a big fuss. If I remember correctly, you are the daughter of a maid. The Moon Merchant Union will also not make a big loss or worry about retaliation."

She then looked at Violet and said, "You, on the other hand, will not only end up killing yourself. But all the people here and your family will end up in a fight. Who knows how many will die. So stop pretending to joke and just accompany us here for fun. This is not a playground, either. If you are planning to be a part of this union, then act accordingly, or your selfish desires will end up killing all of us. Your friend and all these innocent people here and not to mention the many more at Port Kiar will die because of your self-indulgence. If this just a game to you then by all mean do not come back after this mission."

Hazel then said, "Whether you use the seasoning or not does not matter to me, now you know what to do and what not to."

Hazel came to Aile, and when he asked her how it went, she replied, "I think they will hate me more now. The way they behaved is like those annoying politicians, I could not help but get angry." As the magistrate of Port Kiar, she was well aware of those behaviours. She had deep hatred built through many years towards such actions.

Aile then took her in his embrace and calmed her down. Soon everyone was rested.

Aile then gathered everyone and told them they will create a circular formation, with seven people creating the circle outside and one at the centre. The people on the outside will fight. If an area gets pressured, the person at the centre will join them and fight to reduce the burden. Anyone that got too tired can switch with the person at the middle.

He also gave them some more strategies in case some particular situations happen.

Aile and the group soon arrived at the wolves area, and it did not take long for the wolves to attack them as they moved forward. With the addition of Xue, Aile and Hazel fighting them, even in large numbers, the wolves had become more manageable. Only a few wolves could attack them at a time due to the space available.

After injuring and killing a few of them, a roar was heard.

The roar came from the queen, and the wolves changed formation.

The wolves at the back started to use the other wolves' backs, climbing on to them, and they tried to jump in the centre of the circle. After a few attempts, they were getting close and having to face the flying wolves put everyone in a lot of pressure.

Aile shouted, "We are changing to strategy three."

Everyone partnered up, Aile with Violet, Xue with Ellie, Hazel with Two and One with the Scout. They soon separated, dividing the wolves into four groups. Although it would make it hard for two people to fight back to back, the wolves also had more space now, and they had to divide up. It stopped them from climbing and jumping in the centre, as their no longer was a centre.

Xue and Ellie, and One and the scout were to just defend, and they were to just keep their groups busy. While Aile and Hazel's groups were there to reduce the wolves numbers quickly. Aile took out his blade and started to swing it.

Slashing in different angles, with precise cuts aiming at the wolves' critical locations. Each movement resulted in taking a life or maiming the wolves.

The smell of blood and the blood-red colour soon became prominent. Violet was going on the offence and defence, she was tactfully paralyzing wolves and leaving them there to act as a barrier for the other wolves. She also prevented a few wolves from making a move on Aile. As more deaths were happening here.

Aile saw victory in his sight, and a smile formed on his face. However, there was another weak roar.

With that, the pressure of the wolves reduced in Aile and Hazel's group, and the wolves focused on the weaker groups.

Aile shouted, "We are making groups of four now."

Hazel and Two quickly went towards One and the Scout. Aile looked back and saw Violet struggling with three wolves, and she had not asked for help.

On the other side, Ellie and Xue were facing more wolves, and he needed to be there quickly. He could not leave Violet to fend for herself. Aile picked some stones and started to fling them at a few wolves around Xue and Ellie as he ran towards Violet.

The rocks span in the air as they entered the heads of wolves around Xue and Ellie. As the wolves fell, they created a barrier for the other wolves, slowing them down and buying Aile some time.

Aile dashed to Violet and kicked one of the wolves, and he threw Violet on his shoulder. He slapped her rear that was the prominent feature of her pear-shaped body size in annoyance.

As Aile was running, the lust seed for his dark element was activated again. His hand that was holding Violet landed on her rear and started to knead and squeeze. Soon he ran the light-element with restoration affinity to his soul, it passed through the different parts of his soul and started to calm it down once again. Aile then cut, jumped on and over a few more wolves to reach Ellie and Xue. Aile put down Violet and told her, "Do not do something stupid like not asking for help again."

He noticed Xue giving him a strange look he ignored it and hoped she did not see his action, as he was getting ready to fight the wolves.

As he was getting ready to fight Violet mumbled, "Bastard always taking advantage and then shouting at me."

Aile and Hazel soon got more forceful and started to kill more and more wolves. Shortly after there were only a few of them left.

With a loud shout, the wolf queen that had been lying on the ground got up. She ran towards Aile as blood was leaking out of her, and it opened its jaw and suddenly disappeared. It appeared in front of Xue.

This surprised her, and she was not able to respond. She was flustered, and her body was already moving towards Aile to support him against the queen, she could not change halfway. She did not have enough time to react effectively and gritted her teeth for the worst. However, Violet pushed her, and she fell down, avoiding the bite.

Crunch

Before Aile could kill the now visible wolf, she disappeared once again, and this time it appeared behind Violet who had hindered her. Aile, who had his senses focused on the wolf queen, quickly responded.

He placed his blade between Violet and the wolf queen, as he was more prepared, the wolf stopped a few inches away from it. Aile was planning to quickly slash and stab her catching her off guard. However, Violet had gathered her lightning and released it without proper guidance. The lightning hit the wolf and also Aile. Aile noticed his body constrict. The wolves got its bearing quickly and suddenly jumped and went for Aile's head. With a less responsive body, Aile could not completely dodge, he just managed to move his head, and the wolf queens jaw closed on his shoulder.

Crunch.

By now Hazel, One, Two and Ellie arrived close to Aile and had stabbed the wolf queen. Aile too had stabbed her, as his bloodied blade had become visible on the other side. The wolf queen has been skewered from many directions.

As Aile was electrocuted not long ago, he did not feel the pain immediately. As more and more of his feelings got restored, he felt a stinging pain on his shoulder, that along with the smell of his own blood mix with the wolves blood and saliva made him feel pain and urge to gag. Aile was looking at his wound and his eyes connected to the wolf queen, he noticed her eyes slowly losing focus.
